ANOTHER WORLD 330 Felicia gets bad news

ANOTHER WORLD 330
Created by:  William J. Bell and Irna Phillips
Written by:  C. Nathaniel Richardson
Consultant:  A. Washington Beeby

IN THIS EPISODE:  Felicia Gallant Blake, Mitch Blake, Devin Hutchins, Dante Carlino, John Hudson, Sharlene Hudson, Matt Cory, Brianna Jameson, Steven Frame, KC Burrell, Joy Kramer, Allen Love, Donna Love, Vicky Hudson, Thomasina Mason, Michele McKinnon, Bridget McKinnon,

SPECIAL GUEST: Marley Hudson Montgomery

Also:  Steven shocks Vicky; Matt makes an important decision on Brianna's request to leave Bay City

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
  • Felicia was lured to Christy Carson's suite.  Christy held Felicia at gunpoint and forced Felicia to drink a bottle of vodka and take flurazepam
  • Brianna Jameson came to Bay City seeking revenge on John and Sharlene Hudson, as she blames them for her mother's death (Taylor Benson).  Taylor died, but not before wishing that Brianna would "finish" Sharlene Hudson.  Brianna has already tampered with Sharlene's brakes and tried to run her down in the hospital parking garage.  Christy was the only other person who knows that Brianna is Taylor's daughter.  Frankie, John, and Sharlene are seeking to make a connection between Brianna and Taylor
  • Michele switched Bridget's tests at the hospital to make it look like she had chlamydia.  It leads to Cory breaking up with Bridget.  As a result of that false positive test (it was originally negative), Bridget was prescribed an antibiotic which caused her go into anaphylactic shock and into a medically induced coma

PART 1

AT THE BLAKE’S, FELICIA SITS ON THE COUCH ON HER CELL PHONE AS MITCH BRINGS HER A CUP OF TEA.
Felicia Gallant Blake

Mitch Blake

FELICIA:  What took you so long to call me back?
MITCH:  Herbal?
FELICIA:  Thank you honey but I can’t think about tea right now.

FELICIA GOES BACK TO HER PHONE CALL

FELICIA:  As long as Christy’s out there, she is a threat!
MITCH:  Jenna or Lorna?

FELICIA COVERS THE SPEAKER AND TURNS TO MITCH.

FELICIA:  Jenna.

FELICIA GOES BACK TO JENNA ON THE PHONE.

FELICIA:  Look I can’t take that chance.  I won’t feel good until I know she’s locked up….Love you, too.  Please be safe.

FELICIA ENDS HER CALL WITH JENNA.

FELICIA:  Why haven’t we heard anything from the police?
MITCH:  I’m sure they’re doing everything they can to find Christy.
FELICIA:  Well apparently they’re not doing enough.
MITCH:  Calling Jenna and Lorna constantly is not going to solve the problem.
FELICIA:  Outside of looking for her myself, what do you suggest I do?  She threatened my family before she forced me to down those pills.  What if she’s planning to attack Jenna or Lorna?
MITCH:  Didn’t you just speak to them?  They’re gonna be fine.
FELICIA:  I did but…you don’t understand.

MITCH PUTS HIS HANDS ON FELICIA’S SHOULDERS AND LOOKS HER IN THE EYES.

MITCH:  I’m not gonna let her or anyone else hurt you.
FELICIA:  You can’t guarantee that.  She’s gotta pay for what she’s done.

SOMEONE RINGS THE DOORBELL AND FELICIA GOES AND OPENS IT.

Devin Hutchins

FELICIA:  Devin.
DEVIN:  Hey grandma.
FELICIA:  Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?  Come in.

BEFORE FELICIA SHUTS THE DOOR, DANTE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.

Dante Carlino

DANTE:  Hi Mrs. Blake.
FELICIA:  Dante.  Please come in.

FELICIA SHUTS THE DOOR.

MITCH:  This must be an official visit.
DANTE:  You would be correct.
FELICIA:  So have you found Christy?
DANTE:  I do have news about her, and it isn’t good.

 ---------------------------------------------------------

AT THE FARM, JOHN IS IN THE LIVING ROOM PUTTING ON HIS SPORTCOAT AS SHARLENE WALKS IN FROM UPSTAIRS.
John Hudson

Sharlene Hudson

JOHN:  Gonna wish me luck today?
SHARLENE:  Why would you need that?
JOHN:  I’m scheduled to meet with the board.
SHARLENE:  The board?  What happened?
JOHN:  They said I prescribed Flurazepam to Felicia.
SHARLENE:  You write prescriptions all the time.  What’s wrong with this one?
JOHN:  It’s the drug that they found in Felicia’s system after Cass and Frankie found her.
SHARLENE:  It sounds like they’re making you responsible for what she did with the drugs.  It doesn’t make any sense.
JOHN:  Her Primary Care Doctor didn’t authorize it, so I have to answer for it.
SHARLENE:  It doesn’t seem like you would go rogue like that.
JOHN:  That’s the thing.  I didn’t.  Someone broke into my doctor portal and wrote the prescription in my name.
SHARLENE:  I’m sure you’ll be cleared of all of this.
JOHN:  I gotta get outta here.  Are you gonna be alright?
SHARLENE:  I’m gonna be just fine.
JOHN:  I don’t like leaving you here, especially with Brianna out there.
SHARLENE:  Did you forget that you bought some protection for me?
JOHN:  I just want you and Gregory to be safe.  Alright I’m going.
SHARLENE:  Good luck.

JOHN NODS HIS HEAD ONCE AND LEAVES.

-------------------------------------------------------------

BRIANNA GETS OUT OF THE BED, PUTS HER ROBE ON AND TURNS HER BACK TO MATT.  SHE TAKES TWO STEPS AWAY FROM THE BED.

Matt Cory

Brianna Jameson

MATT:  Brianna.  What’s wrong?
BRIANNA:  I don’t quite know how I want to say what I want to say.
MATT:  Just…say it?

BRIANNA TURNS AROUND AND FACES MATT.

BRIANNA:  I wanna leave…with you.
MATT:  Why?
BRIANNA:  Don’t you get it?  I want to leave town…with you.
MATT:  That sounds good.  I’d love to get away for a while.
BRIANNA:  No.  I’m talking about for good.  Let’s leave Bay City together.
MATT:  Babe you know I can’t do that.
BRIANNA:  Well why not?
MATT:  Well for starters I have my family here; my work.
BRIANNA:  Your family?  Everybody’s an adult.
MATT:  That has nothing to do with it.  My life is here.

BRIANNA SITS BACK ON THE BED.

BRIANNA:  This might be our only chance at a life together.
MATT:  And why can’t we have that here?
BRIANNA:  Don’t you want a fresh start?  Somewhere where nobody knows us?  There’s no history; no baggage; no memories.  We can have our own lives.  It’s really a no brainer if you think about it.
MATT:  Brianna what is this really about?  What’s really going on?

---------------------------------------------------------------

AT DONNA’S SUITE, THE LONG RECTANGULAR TABLE IS IN THE CENTER OF THE LIVING ROOM COVERED WITH BROWN TABLECLOTH.  STREAMERS LINE THE WALLS THAT SAY:  WELCOME HOME.

MEANWHILE, OFF IN A SHORT DISTANCE, STEVEN WALKS UP TO KC.

Steven Frame

KC Burrell

STEVEN:  Hey you.
KC:  What’s going on?
STEVEN:  Are you enjoying yourself?
KC:  Why wouldn’t I?
STEVEN:  Join the rest of us.  You’re kinda off in a corner by yourself.
KC:  Oh it’s not intentional.  I’m just…observing.

KC LOOKS OVER AT ALLEN AND JOY, WHO ARE AT THE PUNCH BOWL SIPPING ON THEIR DRINKS.

Joy Kramer

Allen Love

JOY:  This is a really nice party.
ALLEN:  My Aunt Donna really did it up for Bridget.
JOY:  Yes she sure did.  I wonder where Vicky is.
ALLEN:  I don’t see Michele either.  I’m sure they’re on their way.
JOY:  You know…Vicky doesn’t really like me.
ALLEN:  Sorry to hear that.
JOY:  But Steven loves me, and she’s just gonna have to accept it.

KC AND STEVEN WALK AWAY AS MARLEY WALKS IN WITH A STROLLER.  DONNA WALKS UP TO HER.
Donna Love

Marley Hudson Montgomery

DONNA:  Oh my God.  Marley!

MARLEY HUGS DONNA.

MARLEY:  Hi Donna.  It’s so good to see you.

DONNA BENDS DOWN TO SEE MARLEY’S BABY.

DONNA:  Oh look at my grandson.  He’s…
MARLEY:  Sleeping.  I wanna get him upstairs before he wakes up.
DONNA:  Okay it’s so good to see you both.

MARLEY LOOKS AROUND.

MARLEY:  I don’t see Victoria.  Where is she?

VICKY AND MICHELE WALK IN.
Vicky Hudson

Michele McKinnon

VICKY:  Right here.

CAMERA PAN ON VICKY.  SLOW FADE OUT.  END OF PART 1

 -------------------------------------------------------------------

PART 2

BRIANNA:  I’m sorry I…I love you so much Matt.

MATT GETS UP FROM THE BED AND WALKS AROUND IT.  HE SITS NEXT TO BRIANNA AND PLACES HIS LEFT HAND ON HER RIGHT HAND.

MATT:  Of course, and I love you, too, but why do we have to leave Bay City?   We can have a great life right here.
BRIANNA:  I’d rather go where nobody knows us.  We can start anew…together…you and me.
MATT:  But Brianna I still don’t understand why you feel the need for us to leave.

BRIANNA GETS UP AND TAKES THREE STEPS AWAY FROM MATT.

BRIANNA:  I get it.  It’s because of Rachel.
MATT: What does my mother have to do with this?

BRIANNA TURNS AROUND AND FACES MATT.

BRIANNA:  I don’t know if she told you but I came by the Corys looking for you and she pulled me in the living room to talk to her.
MATT:  What exactly did she say?
BRIANNA:  You know it was really nothing.  She just wants you to be happy.
MATT:  When it comes to my mom it’s not just nothing.

BRIANNA SITS DOWN NEXT TO MATT.

BRIANNA:  I shouldn’t have brought it up.  Your mother loves you and she just wants the best for you.
MATT:  She meddled in my brother’s love life.  I won’t let her do that with us.
BRIANNA:  Well then if…if that’s the case.  If we’re not here she can’t poke her nose into our relationship right?  I mean at least it would be harder.
MATT:  It would be.
BRIANNA:  Look I’m sorry to spring this on you so suddenly.  If you need some time to think about it, I understand.
MATT:  No I won’t need any time.
BRIANNA:  What are you saying?
MATT:  There’s no need for us to wait.  I’ll do it.  Let’s blow this Bay City pop stand.

--------------------------------------------------------

FELICIA:  What do you mean it isn’t good?   You have leads on her don’t you?
DANTE:  This isn’t about where Christy is.
MITCH:  Well then haul her in!
DANTE:  See that’s just it.  We can’t do that.
FELICIA:  You’re right.  This is not what I wanted to hear.
DEVIN:  What’s the problem?   She forced my grandmother to try and kill herself and you’re telling me that she can’t be held accountable?
DANTE:  We don’t have enough evidence.
MITCH:  Come on that’s insane.
FELICIA:  And totally ridiculous.  I didn’t pick up any prescription for those pills.
DANTE:  But they were prescribed to you.
FELICIA:  How can you not get any description on Christy?  What about the pharmacy that they were picked up from?  They had to have recognized her!
DANTE:  We’ve already done that.  I had them retrieve all the records, and they said a dark haired woman wearing glasses and a black trenchcoat picked them up.
FELICIA:  WELL IT WASN’T ME!
MITCH:  There’s gotta be something else that you can use.
DANTE:  Mitch, if there was something else, I would have used it so I can get a warrant for her arrest, but I can’t.  It’s just not enough.
DEVIN:  So you’re saying Christy’s gonna get away with what she did?
DANTE:  Look we can’t just go around arresting people because someone said they committed a crime against them.  We have to have evidence.  I’m sorry.
FELICIA:  Who prescribed the Flurazepam?
DANTE:  John Hudson.

FELICIA WIDENS HER EYES WITH SURPRISE.

 --------------------------------------------------------------

JOHN HUDSON IS IN HIS OFFICE AT THE HOSPITAL.  HE PACES BACK AND FORTH AS THOMASINA KNOCKS ON THE AJAR DOOR.

Thomasina Mason

THOMASINA:  May I come in?
JOHN:  Sure.

THOMASINA SHUTS THE DOOR.

JOHN:  Any word from the board?
THOMASINA:  Yes as a matter of fact there is.
JOHN:  Well?
THOMASINA:  I persuaded them to postpone your hearing.
JOHN:  That’s…that’s a relief.
THOMASINA:  It doesn’t mean that you’re out of the woods yet but it does buy you some time.
JOHN:  To find out who authorized it.
THOMASINA:  It looks bad John but I know you wouldn’t have written that prescription without Primary Care physician approval.
JOHN:  So we gotta find out who broke into my system.

JOHN GETS A PHONE CALL ON HIS CELL PHONE.

JOHN:  Felicia?...Now?...Alright okay I’ll be right there.
THOMASINA:  Was that Felicia Blake?
JOHN:  Yeah.  She wants to meet with me.
THOMASINA:  Well go ahead.   You don’t need to be here now.
JOHN:  Thank you.
THOMASINA:  My pleasure.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

VICKY:  Hey sis when did you get in town?
MARLEY:  Not too long ago.  Michele hi.
MICHELE:  Hi Aunt Marley.
VICKY:  Where’s my nephew?
MARLEY:  He’s upstairs sleeping.
VICKY:  Well I’m gonna go see him.
MARLEY:  Don’t wake him up.
VICKY:  Of course.

VICKY GOES UPSTAIRS AS DONNA, MARLEY AND MICHELE ENTER THE LIVING ROOM.  BRIDGET GOES UP TO MARLEY.
Bridget McKinnon

BRIDGET:  Aunt Marley!  Oh my God you came all the way for my party.
MARLEY:  I wouldn’t miss it for the world.

THEY HUG, AND BRIDGET TURNS TO MICHELE.

BRIDGET:  Hey sis.
MICHELE:  Hi.  Looks like we’re about to get started.
BRIDGET:  You would be right.

DONNA WALKS TO THE HEAD OF THE TABLE.

DONNA:  May I have everyone’s attention please?  Thank you all for coming.  Our family has been through so much over the past few months, and I thought it would be a good idea to throw a welcome home celebration for Bridget, who as you know has been in the hospital.  This can be a new beginning for us.  Too bad Michael couldn’t make it but there’s the rest of us.  Bridget welcome home, and all of you welcome to her homecoming party.  Bridget do you have anything to say?
BRIDGET:  Not yet grandma but…Steven does.  Steven take it away.
STEVEN:  I’m very happy to be here with my family, and the woman I love.

STEVEN WALKS UP TO JOY AS THE FAMILY LOOKS ON.  HE GENTLY TAKES JOY’S LEFT HAND INTO HIS.

STEVEN:  From the first day I met you, I knew you were someone I could fall in love with.  No matter how hard you resisted, I somehow knew that you would eventually feel the same way about me.  I’ve never loved anyone as I much as I love you.

STEVEN TAKES OUT A BOX AND OPENS IT.  JOY GASPS.

JOY:  Oh my God.

STEVEN KNEELS ON ONE KNEE AND LOOKS UP AT JOY.  STEVEN TAKES OUT THE RING AND PLACES ON JOY’S LEFT RING FINGER AS VICKY WALKS IN.

STEVEN:  Joy Kramer, the love of my life, will you marry me?

JOY PLACES HER RIGHT HAND OVER HER MOUTH IN AMAZEMENT, AND LETS IT DOWN.

JOY:  Steven I…I do.  Yes I’ll marry you!
VICKY:  NO!

EVERYONE LOOKS BACK AT VICKY, WHO IS IN THE FOYER.

THOMASINA:  I made an appointment for you to see an oncologist at the hospital tomorrow.
Thomasina Mason
LILY:  You didn’t have to do that.
THOMASINA:  I know.  I was thinking maybe you should start your treatments here.  At least you’ll have family around.  That support is very important.
LILY:  Niece I got all the support I need.
THOMASINA:  What do you mean exactly?
LILY:  Joy...decided to forgive me.
THOMASINA:  Wow really?  That’s fantastic.  I know that’s a weight lifted off your shoulders.
LILY:  She’s going to that party right?
THOMASINA:  That Donna Love is throwing?   Yeah she is.
LILY:  I really want her to be happy…to live better than I did.  Her forgiveness though, it gives me a lot of peace.

THOMASINA NODS HER HEAD AND SMILES.

THOMASINA:  I’m headed to the hospital to finish up some work.  Do you want anything on my way back?

LILY LOOKS AT THOMASINA AND SMILES.

MATT:  You can remove the blindfold.

BRIANNA TAKES THE BLINDFOLD OFF AND SMILES.

BRIANNA:  Oh my God.

CHARLIE:  Can I take something?
FRANKIE:  Nooooo.
CHARLIE:  I know mom I’m just…
FRANKIE:  I know the feeling honey.  I was the same way when I was pregnant with you.
CHARLIE:  When will my stomach stop turning?
FRANKIE:  I called Kirkland.  He’s on his way back home.
CHARLIE:  Why mom?
FRANKIE:  He’s your husband.
CHARLIE:  I wanted him to enjoy his family.  I didn’t want him to miss Bridget’s homecoming. Besides, I’m in good hands with you.
FRANKIE:  Yes dear, but he wants to be here.
CHARLIE:  Do you have something else to do?
FRANKIE:  There’s no place I’d rather be than with my only child.
CHARLIE:  I thought you’d want to rush home to dad.
FRANKIE:  Your dad and I will have plenty of time.  You just hang in there.
CHARLIE:  I thought it was supposed to be morning sickness, not evening sickness.

KIRKLAND WALKS IN.

Kirkland Harrison

KIRKLAND:  Hey is everything alright?
CHARLIE:  My stomach is spinning.
KIRKLAND:  Anything we should be concerned about?
FRANKIE:  It’s just part of being pregnant.
CHARLIE:  Babe can you help me up.

KIRKLAND GOES OVER TO CHARLIE AND HELPS HER OUT OF THE BED.

KIRKLAND:  You alright?

PART 2

AT THE HOSPITAL, THOMASINA IS IN HER OFFICE WHEN RUSS MATTHEWS WALKS IN.

Russ Matthews

THOMASINA:  Dr. Matthews hi.
RUSS:  Dr. Mason.
THOMASINA:  Burning the midnight oil huh?
RUSS:  You know I have to make sure that my patients are taken care of.
THOMASINA:  I know.  You are very well respected, and deservedly so.
RUSS:  I appreciate that.  This hospital is always gonna have a place in my heart.
THOMASINA:  It’ll be that way for me, too.
RUSS:  Have you checked your email?
THOMASINA:  Not since I left earlier.  Is there something I should be aware of?
RUSS:  Yeah.

THOMASINA SITS DOWN, TURNS ON HER COMPUTER, AND LOOKS AT HER EMAIL.

THOMASINA:  No.  I…I can’t accept that.
RUSS:  I wasn’t asking permission.
THOMASINA:  But, we were really just getting along.  I don’t know what we’re gonna do without you.
RUSS:  You’re gonna do just fine.
THOMASINA:  But Seattle though?
RUSS:  It was out of the blue almost, but it’s a great opportunity for me though.
THOMASINA:  If I were you I…wouldn’t pass it up either.
RUSS:  We’ll both be the Chief of Staff of our hospitals.
THOMASINA:  Well at least you’ll be here until I find someone to replace you, although that’s not gonna be easy.
RUSS:  I also emailed you my patient files.  They want me to start in two days, so I’m leaving Bay City tonight.
THOMASINA:  That settles it huh?
RUSS:  I’m gonna miss this place.

THOMASINA GETS UP AND WALKS UP TO RUSS.

THOMASINA:  I guess this is goodbye…and good luck.

 -------------------------------------------------

AT THE HOTEL ROOM, MATT AND BRIANNA ARE LYING IN BED TOGETHER.  BRIANNA LIES ON MATT’S BARE CHEST.

MATT:  Making love to you never gets old.
BRIANNA:  Hmm I wonder.
MATT:  I know you’re not doubting your skills are you?  Or mine?
BRIANNA:  Oh absolutely not.  I’m just thinking.
MATT:  About what?  What’s going on in your pretty little head?
BRIANNA:  Will you feel the same way about our lovemaking when WE get old?
MATT:  Why wouldn’t I?
BRIANNA:  What about when I’m going through…oooh I don’t wanna even say it.
MATT:  I think I know where you’re going with this.  You’re talking about cramps, hot flashes, irritability?
BRIANNA:  You’ve done your research.
MATT:  You think menopause is gonna stop me from loving you?
BRIANNA:  I dunno.  Sometimes we women think about that.  I don’t want to lose you.

MATT SITS UP AS BRIANNA DOES THE SAME.

MATT:  Brianna where is this coming from?
BRIANNA:  Matthew I…I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.  I haven’t found a love like this…ever.  I don’t want to lose you.
MATT:  Stop talking like this.  You’re not gonna lose me.

BRIANNA GETS OUT OF THE BED, PUTS HER ROBE ON AND TAKES TWO STEPS AWAY FROM THE BED.

 --------------------------------------------

AT THE WINTHROPS, FRANKIE WALKS IN AND SEES CASS ON THE COUCH.

Cass Winthrop

CASS:  Hey there good lookin’.
FRANKIE:  You’re still quite the charmer.
CASS:  How’s Charlie?
FRANKIE:  She’s…pregnant.
CASS:  I gathered that.
FRANKIE:  Going through pregnant people things.  She’s gonna be fine.  Kirkland’s with her.
CASS:  So let me guess what’s happening.  She’s got massive stomach aches and she can’t  hold anything down.
FRANKIE:  How did you know?
CASS:  I know a thing or two about nursing a pregnant wife.
FRANKIE:  Hmm I wonder how.
CASS:  You got acquainted with the bathroom when you were pregnant with Charlie.
FRANKIE:  And Charlie is now.
CASS:  I have to say I’m a little concerned.
FRANKIE:  Vomiting is not a cause for alarm when you’re pregnant.
CASS:  No.  It’s the stress.
FRANKIE:  Did she talk to you about the lawsuit?
CASS:  Oh we’re way past conversations.
FRANKIE:  Did she decide what she was gonna do?
CASS:  She gave me the green light.
FRANKIE:  Wow.
CASS:  She wasn’t sure at first but when she told me to do it she was very decisive.
FRANKIE:  How do YOU feel about it?  This would be the second time you’ve filed a civil suit against the hospital.
CASS:  I’ll get to work on obtaining the facts.
FRANKIE:  I’ll be supporting you again like I did last time.

CASS AND FRANKIE HUG, AND FRANKIE HEARS THOSE FAINT CHANTS AND A GUNSHOT, AND PULLS AWAY.

CASS:  What’s wrong?

FRANKIE HESITATES AND SMILES.

FRANKIE:  It’s nothing.  I just got a little chill.

-----------------------------------------------

KIRKLAND IS ON HIS CELL PHONE AS CHARLIE LIES ON THE BED.  KIRKLAND IS SITTING ON A NEARBY CHAIR.

KIRKLAND:  Yeah she’s fine.  She’s sleeping.  Just a little sick.  I wish I could be there.  You guys have fun, and behave yourself mom.

KIRKLAND SMILES, ENDS THE CALL, AND GETS A TEXT FROM AN “UNKNOWN” NUMBER.  The text reads:  I WILL NEVER FORGET.

GRANT WALKS INTO SPENCER’S ROOM.  SPENCER LIES ON THE BED AS GRANT PULLS UP A CHAIR AND SITS NEXT TO THE BED.

GRANT:  So is this how it ends dad?  I wonder just how hard you tried to hold on before you took your last breath?  I didn’t even know you were sick.  It’s…in accordance with how you raised me right?  Be tough; do whatever it takes to win.  Tell people what you think they need to know.  It’s not about what’s true, it’s about what’s believed.  Get most of what you want out of every deal, and when you see a weakness, you attack.  That’s how you become a successful politician, but you know what?   After trying to apply all of your principles, I never got custody of my son, and I missed a lot of his life.   I lost Cynthia and I never got Victoria back, and I wish I could go back and do it over; get a second chance.  I want to do better by my son, than you did by me.   I owe you a great deal of responsibility…for the man I’ve become.  Good bye dad.

GRANT GETS UP, AND WALKS OUT OF THE ROOM.

------------------------------------------------------------

OUTSIDE OF THE ROOM, KELSEY WALKS UP TO GRANT.

KELSEY:  How are you feeling?
GRANT:  I’m not too sure.  Dad and I have always had a…contentious relationship.  Do you know how long he had been like that?
KELSEY:  For…a few weeks.  He didn’t want me to tell you or Kirkland until about a couple of hours ago.
GRANT (purses lips):  Of course he didn’t.  Good old Spencer Harrison.
KELSEY:  However there’s something that he DID want you to know.

KELSEY TAKES AN ENVELOPE OUT OF HER LAB COAT AND GIVES TO GRANT.

KELSEY:  It’s in here apparently.  He insisted that it not be opened until you got here.

GRANT LOOKS AT KELSEY AND OPENS THE ENVELOPE.  HE TAKES OUT A PIECE OF PAPER AND READS IT.

GRANT:  I..I don’t understand this.
KELSEY:  Let me see it.

KELSEY SKIMS IT OVER AND LOOKS UP AT GRANT.
GRANT:  Well what is it?
KELSEY:  This is a semen analysis.
GRANT:  Why would dad want to leave me something like that?
KELSEY:  I don’t know whose test this is, but from what I can see, this patient is not able to reproduce.
GRANT:  So dad left me a sperm test of a man who’s sterile?
KELSEY:  A test that was taken at Bay City Medical Center recently.

KELSEY POINTS AT THE “BCMC” LETTERING AND THE DATE IN THE UPPER RIGHT CORNER OF THE DOCUMENT.

GRANT:  It’s not mine because I haven’t had one of these tests, but whoever’s test this is…lives in Bay City.  Wait a second.  Carl Hutchins gave me a copy of a DNA test before he died.  It said that I was a match for my son, but it didn’t say for whom?
KELSEY:  Are you saying it’s somehow connected to this sperm count test?
GRANT:  Carl said he kept my son from me.  I thought it was his last mind game that he wanted to play on me, but I’m starting to think he was telling the truth.
KELSEY:  So Carl and Spencer thought that you had another son besides Kirkland?  That doesn’t make any sense.  Who else could it be?
GRANT:  I don’t know Kelsey, but if I find out whose sperm test this belongs to, I will find my son.

ANOTHER WORLD 328 Donna throws Bridget's homecoming party

ANOTHER WORLD 328

IN THIS EPISODE:  Toni Burrell, KC Burrell, Allen Love, Vicky Hudson, Steven Frame, Elizabeth Hutchins, Michele McKinnon,

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD

·         Donna has informed the Love/Hudson family that she is throwing a homecoming party for Bridget, who had been in a coma after an anaphylactic episode due to an antibiotic
·         Michele admitted to Bridget that she switched Bridget’s negative chlamydia test with another patient’s positive test.  This indirectly lead to Bridget being prescribed the antibiotic, which lead to her severe allergic reaction
·         Vicky Hudson’s son, Steven Frame, ended up in a relationship with Dana Kramer’s half sister, Joy Kramer.  Joy, at the behest of Reginald Love, burned down the Harbor Club (which belonged to Donna), and kidnapped Tyrone and Marley’s baby.  Reginald was poisoning Joy’s cousin, Thomasina, at the time so she could do his bidding.

AT THE POLICE STATION, TONI IS IN HER OFFICE WHEN KC WALKS IN.
Toni Burrell

KC Burrell

TONI:  Hey what’s going on?
KC:  Not much.  I had a little time to kill before I get ready for Bridget’s party.
TONI:  Party?
KC:  Yeah Aunt Donna is throwing a welcome home party for her.
TONI:  Oh that reminds me.

TONI TAKES OUT HER PHONE AND SENDS A TEXT.

KC:  You’re coming with dad right?
TONI:  I just texted him.  I’m not going.  I got a lot of work to do here.
KC:  Wow I’m kind of disappointed.
TONI:  I really wish I could be there but I’m so swamped.  Look you guys have a good time.  Tell me all about it tomorrow.

AT STEVEN’S LOFT, VICKY WALKS UP TO THE DOOR AND KNOCKS.  STEVEN OPENS IT.
Vicky Hudson

Steven Frame

VICKY:  Steven hi honey.  May I come in?
STEVEN:  Yeah sure.

VICKY WALKS AND STEVEN SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND HER.

VICKY:  Did you get Donna’s text?
STEVEN:  About Bridget’s homecoming party?  Yes.
VICKY:  Sooo….are you coming alone?
STEVEN:  I was wondering when you were gonna get to that.  If you’re here to rail on Joy you can turn right back around and…
VICKY:  Will you listen to me?  I wanted to tell you that I’ve been thinking and I…I will work hard on accepting your relationship with Joy, but I can’t promise anything.  I just don’t trust her.
STEVEN:  You were given chances to redeem yourself over and over again.  Why can’t you afford Joy the same courtesy?
VICKY:  Steven you just…you don’t understand.  She had an affair with Tyrone years ago, and she tried to kidnap Tyrone and Marley’s baby.
STEVEN:  She was young when she had that affair, and Reginald was going to kill Thomasina if she didn’t kidnap the baby.
VICKY:  It doesn’t make it right.  Look, I don’t want to argue about Joy.  I will try very hard to accept that you love her, and that you want to be with her.
STEVEN:  I guess that’s a start.  Mom I don’t like fighting with you.
VICKY:  I don’t either.  I just want you to be happy.  I want you to be with someone who makes you happy.
STEVEN:  And Joy does that for me mom.  The sooner you accept it, the better we’ll all be.  Joy and I will be at the party.
VICKY:  Ummm…okay.  I’ll see you then.

AT THE MCKINNONS, ELIZABETH RINGS THE DOORBELL AND MICHELE ANSWERS IT.
Michele McKinnon

Elizabeth Hutchins

MICHELE:  Hey girl.  Come in.

ELIZABETH WALKS IN AND MICHELE SHUTS THE DOOR.

ELIZABETH:  My brother’s club was poppin’ last night.
MICHELE:  That’s good for him and his business right?
ELIZABETH:  Oh yeah it is.  I wanted to make sure you were ready.
MICHELE:  Ready for what?
ELIZABETH:  Bridget’s party.
MICHELE:  I am.  Bridget and I patched things up before she left the hospital.
ELIZABETH:  Hmmm don’t you think it’s a bit convenient?  I mean you two have a lot to iron out.
MICHELE:  I know you don’t like my sister.
ELIZABETH:  With good reason.
MICHELE:  But I felt like we turned a corner.
ELIZABETH:  Annnd she doesn’t remember anything that you told her before she collapsed.
MICHELE:  Nope.  She said she doesn’t.
ELIZABETH:  Look I have to be honest with you.  I don’t trust her.
MICHELE:  Come on Lizzie I’m so tired of this back and forth between Bridget and me.  I really felt like things we settled our differences.  This is a new beginning of sorts.  Bridget and I are finally gonna be the sisters we’re supposed to be.
ELIZABETH:  So you haven’t considered the possibility that she might be playing you?

AT DONNA’S SUITE, DECORATIONS ARE ABOUND AS THE FAMILY PLANS TO CELEBRATE BRIDGET’S  HOMECOMING.  DONNA WALKS INTO THE LIVING ROOM, LOOKS AROUND, AND SMILES.  BRIDGET WALKS IN.

Bridget McKinnon

Donna Love

BRIDGET:  Wow grandma Donna you really didn’t have to do all of this for me.
DONNA:  I did sweetheart.  Why wouldn’t I have?
BRIDGET:  Because I…I’m part of the blame for our family’s problems.  Mom and dad got a divorce.  Granddad left.
DONNA:  And you think that’s your fault?   Well it isn’t.  We all had a part to play in this, but the most important thing is that we’re putting things back together, and this party is a start.
BRIDGET:  I can believe it.

KIRKLAND WALKS IN.

BRIDGET:  My big middle brother.
KIRKLAND:  Hey you.  Ready for your party?
BRIDGET:  Oh am I ever.

Kirkland Harrison

PART 2

MICHELE:  She’s not going to do that.
ELIZABETH:  And what guarantees did she give that she wasn’t setting you up?
MICHELE:  If she remembered anything I’m sure she would have run to the police station.  I’d probably be in jail right now, but I’m not.
ELIZABETH:  I really want you to have a good time with your family but…I really think that you shouldn’t let your guard down.
MICHELE:  You don’t get it!  It’s over!  I don’t want to fight with my sister anymore!  She could’ve died.  I just want it to be the way it used to be.  My whole family has been torn apart because of me and Bridget.  Now we have a chance to put things back together like it should be.  I don’t want to think anything negative about it.  I’m gonna go to the party and have a good time.
ELIZABETH:  You know Cory is going, too right?
MICHELE:  Really?  That’s surprising.  My grandma told him to stay away from Bridget and me.
ELIZABETH:  He said Bridget insisted he come.
MICHELE:  Yeah that is a little weird.  She broke up with him.
ELIZABETH:  That’s what I’m saying.  Bridget has something up her sleeve.
MICHELE:  And she might not.  She doesn’t even remember what I told her.
ELIZABETH:  And do you believe her?
MICHELE:  Yes…I do.  The feud between Bridget and me is over.

AT DONNA’S SUITE, STEVEN WALKS IN WITH JOY.  DONNA GREETS THEM.

DONNA:  Hi honey.
STEVEN:  Hey grandma.  You know Joy right?
DONNA:  Yes I do.  Welcome.
JOY:  Thank you.
STEVEN:  Hey where’s Bridget?
DONNA:  She was just here.  I think she went upstairs.
STEVEN:  Okay.  I’ll be right back.

STEVEN LEAVES AS DONNA TURNS TO JOY.

DONNA:  Help yourself.  There are refreshments and drinks.
JOY:  I certainly will.  Thank you.

DONNA LEAVES AS ALLEN WALKS IN.

ALLEN:  Joy hey.
JOY:  Hi Allen how are you?
ALLEN:  I’m pretty good.

----------------------------------------------------

UPSTAIRS, BRIDGET IS IN HER BEDROOM AS SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.

BRIDGET:  Come in.

STEVEN WALKS IN.

BRIDGET:  Hey big brother.
STEVEN:  Hey you.

THEY HUG.

STEVEN:  How are you feeling?
BRIDGET:  Never better.
STEVEN:  I’m glad you’re out of the hospital.
BRIDGET:  Me, too.  Their food is horrible.  It feels good just to eat real food again.
STEVEN:  Tell me about it.  I have to work there.
BRIDGET:  You should get Joy to make you lunch.
STEVEN:  We don’t live together yet.
BRIDGET:  If I were her I wouldn’t live with you either.

STEVEN SMILES.

STEVEN:  And why is that?
BRIDGET:  Because I remember mom one morning complaining loudly about the toilet seat being left up one summer when you were here.
STEVEN:  How do you know it wasn’t Kirkland?  Or Jake?
BRIDGET:  Kirkland was away with his grandpa Spencer, and dad had already gone to the Herald.
STEVEN:  You and your elephant memory.  You know I…missed a lot of yours and your sister’s childhood.
BRIDGET:  Doesn’t matter.  We kept in touch didn’t we?
STEVEN:  Yeah we did, and since you love your big brother so much, I need a favor from you.

------------------------------

MEANWHILE, DOWNSTAIRS, JOY IS STANDING NEAR THE DOOR AND ALLEN WALKS IN.

ALLEN:  Hey Joy.
JOY: Allen hi how are you?
ALLEN:  I’m doing pretty well.  Where’s Steven?
JOY:  He went upstairs to talk to Bridget I guess.  So is Toni joining you later?
ALLEN:  No she’s not.  She has to work.  Drink?
JOY:  That sounds good.
THEY WALK INTO THE LIVING ROOM AS KC WALKS IN.  KC NOTICES ALLEN AND JOY AT THE PUNCH BOWL AS DONNA WALKS UP TO KC.

DONNA:  Hi there.
KC:  Hi Aunt Donna.
DONNA:  Come on in.  Where’s your father?

KC LOOKS OVER AT ALLEN AND JOY, SIPPING THEIR DRINKS AND LAUGHING.  MEANWHILE, A GUY WITH A BOX COMES TO THE DOOR AND DONNA GREETS HIM.

GUY:  Donna Love?
DONNA:  Right here.
GUY:  Where to?
DONNA:  Oh you can put that right over there next to the end table.  Thank you.
KC:  I’m gonna go say hi to my dad.

THE GUY WALKS BY AS DONNA TURNS AROUND AND SMILES.  KIRKLAND WALKS UP TO HER.

DONNA:  It’s all coming together.  Just like this family.  Where’s Charlie?
KIRKLAND:  She wasn’t feeling well so she stayed home.  Frankie’s looking after her.
DONNA:  She’s in the throes of pregnancy.  Another addition to the family.
KIRKLAND:  That’s true, but it doesn’t have to be the only one.
DONNA:  And exactly what are you referring to?
KIRKLAND:  More like who?
DONNA:  Oh come on Kirkland.
KIRKLAND:  You haven’t given it any thought since we talked about it?
DONNA:  Look I just want to celebrate tonight.  Your sisters have patched things up.
KIRKLAND:  Where’s mom?
DONNA:  She’s on her way.  This party is gonna be one we’re all gonna remember.

STEVEN AND BRIDGET WALK DOWNSTAIRS.

BRIDGET:  Where are mom and Michele?
DONNA:  They’re on their way.
BRIDGET:  We can’t start this party without them.
