  • John and Frankie discovered that Brianna is Ellen Benson, Taylor Benson's daughter, and deduced that Brianna/Ellen came to Bay City to kill Sharlene

PART 1

Lindsay Winthrop

LINDSAY IS AT HER AND GREGORY’S APARTMENT SWEEPING THE FLOOR AND SHE SEES SOMETHING JUTTING OUT FROM UNDERNEATH THE COUCH.  SHE PICKS IT UP.

LINDSAY:  What?  How did this get in here?

IT’S SHARLENE FRAME HUDSON’S CREDIT CARD.  SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.

------------------------------------------------------------

John Hudson

Frankie Frame

AT THE FARM, JOHN WALKS TOWARD THE DOOR AND FRANKIE WALKS IN.

JOHN: Frankie.  Hey.
FRANKIE:  Where’s Sharlene?
JOHN:  She went out.  What’s going on?
FRANKIE:  You have a minute?
JOHN:  I was on my way to town.
FRANKIE:  It’s important.

FRANKIE TAKES OUT THE LETTER SHE RECEIVED IN THE MAIL AND GIVES IT TO JOHN.

JOHN:  This…looks like an estate record.

JOHN LOOKS AT IT MORE CLOSELY.

JOHN:  Oh my God.

------------------------------------------------------------------
Brianna Jameson

IN THE HOSPITAL LOCKER ROOM, BRIANNA IS PACKING UP HER THINGS WHEN LINDSAY WALKS IN.

LINDSAY:  Hey.
BRIANNA:  Hi Lindsay.
LINDSAY:  You’re packing up?  Are you leaving?
BRIANNA: Yep.  I quit.
LINDSAY:  Wow.  This place is gonna miss you.  Everybody talks about you.
BRIANNA:  I bet they do.

LINDSAY CHUCKLES.

LINDSAY:  Oh no I didn’t mean in a bad way I…mean the docs rave about your work.
BRIANNA:  Well I’m very happy about that.  You know what…I AM gonna miss this place.  I got an opportunity to be a good…nurse.
LINDSAY:  Well the clinical staff really likes you.  You’re gonna be missed.

LINDSAY NOTICES SOMETHING THAT BRIANNA IS PACKING.

LINDSAY:  Wait a minute.  Are those ruby red?
BRIANNA:  Uh..yeah…yeah they are.
LINDSAY:  I have a pair just like those.  Well...I HAD a pair.
BRIANNA:  What happened?
LINDSAY:  You know what I really don’t know.  It’s almost like they just disappeared.  Oh well.  I wish you the best of luck with everything.
BRIANNA:  Thank you.

--------------------------------------------------------
Sharlene Frame Hudson

LINDSAY LEAVES THE LOCKER ROOM.  WALKS DOWN THE HALL AND RUNS INTO SHARLENE.

LINDSAY:  Hey Sharlene hi.
SHARLENE:  Lindsay.
LINDSAY:  I’m glad I ran into you.  Are you looking for John?
SHARLENE:  Umm…yeah actually I am.
LINDSAY:  I can check with the nurses station…
SHARLENE:  No.  I don’t need you to do that!  Sorry I’m…I’m just in a bit of a hurry.
LINDSAY:  Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to keep you, but I have to tell you something.  I found your credit card on my living room floor earlier.
SHARLENE:  What?  Why would my credit be there?
LINDSAY:  I don’t know.  Did you let Gregory borrow it?
SHARLENE:  No.  I reported it stolen so it’s pretty much no good now.  I’m getting a new one.
LINDSAY:  Are you sure?   Maybe you gave it to him when he stayed over at your house last week.
SHARLENE:  Stayed over?
LINDSAY:  He didn’t come home one night.  He called and told me that he was spending the night at the farm.
SHARLENE:  I’m sorry Lindsay.  Gregory hasn’t spent the night at our house since he moved in with you.
LINDSAY:  Why would he tell me that and…thanks Sharlene.
SHARLENE:  Is everything okay?
LINDSAY:  Um..uh…yeah.  Everything’s fine.  I probably got things mixed up.

SHARLENE NOTICES BRIANNA GETTING ON THE ELEVATORS.

SHARLENE:  I’m sorry I…I really gotta go.
LINDSAY:  Okay.  Thanks.

------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CENTER, GREGORY IS WITH ELIZABETH IN A SECLUDED CORNER.

ELIZABETH:  Are you in some kind of trouble?
GREGORY:  Yeah.  Big trouble.
ELIZABETH:  What is it that I can do?
GREGORY:  I messed up…real bad.
ELIZABETH:  Gregory just tell me what’s going on.
GREGORY:  Nah Lizzie I…I can’t involve you.  You’ve done more than enough already.
ELIZABETH:  What is it?  What’s going on?

ELIZABETH PUTS HER RIGHT HAND GENTLY ONTO GREGORY’S LEFT CHEEK.

ELIZABETH:  Talk to me.
GREGORY:  Okay.  If I don’t get five hundred dollars by the end of the day…I could be dead.

CAMERA PAN ON GREGORY.  SLOW FADE OUT.  FADE TO THEME SONG.

PART 2

Elizabeth Hutchins

Gregory Hudson

AT THE CORY CARRIAGE HOUSE, ELIZABETH AND GREGORY WALK IN THE LIVING ROOM.  ELIZABETH GIVES GREGORY AN ENVELOPE.

ELIZABETH (sighs):  This should do it.
GREGORY:  Thank you.  You don’t know how much this means to me.
ELIZABETH:  I do.
GREGORY:  Lizzie I…I don’t know what I’d do without you.
ELIZABETH:  Let’s hope you never have to find out.
GREGORY:  I don’t deserve your friendship.  I’m just a no good drug fiend.
ELIZABETH:  Don’t say that.  I know deep down you’re a great guy.  You just need to…get some help.

THEY SLOWLY MOVE CLOSER AND SHARE A PASSIONATE KISS, THEN THEY PULL AWAY.

GREGORY:  I gotta go meet them.
ELIZABETH:  Promise me you’ll be careful.
GREGORY:  I will.

---------------------------------------------------------------

BACK AT THE FARM, FRANKIE IS ON HER CELL PHONE.

FRANKIE:  Aunt Sharlene you have to call me as soon as you get this.  It’s important.

FRANKIE PRESSES END CALL.

FRANKIE:  We gotta find her.
JOHN:  She was supposed to call me when she got to the Center.  She said she was having lunch with Gregory.
FRANKIE:  Do you think something may have happened?
JOHN:  No.  No maybe she just hasn’t arrived there yet.
FRANKIE:  We can’t put anything past Brianna.
JOHN:  It all makes sense now. You looked into her background and didn’t find anything.
FRANKIE:  I mean there was no record of her at all.
JOHN:  Sharlene said Brianna Jameson doesn’t exist.
FRANKIE:  And she was right.

----------------------------------------------------------------

BRIANNA IS AT A CEMETERY, AND SHE WALKS UP TO A HEADSTONE THAT READS:  TAYLOR BENSON.

BRIANNA:  Hi.  I hope you’re resting peacefully.  Better than the way you were treated when you were here.  You were right about this place.  Bay City isn’t the best city I’ve ever lived in, and John and Sharlene are horrible people, but I’ve…I’ve met someone.  A huge surprise.  He’s sweet, thoughtful, attentive.  He makes me laugh, and he’s a damned good lover.  His name is Matthew Cory.  And I’m so sorry to have to tell you this but…but I can’t do what you asked me to do.  I don’t want to jeopardize what I have.  I’m so sorry mom.  I don’t mean to let you down.

BRIANNA’S EYES WELL UP.

BRIANNA (continuing):  That’s not my intention, but I know you understand.  This feels so right, and we’re gonna start our lives somewhere else.  Oh mother I miss you, but I’m moving on with my life.  I love him.

BRIANNA TAKES OUT HER PHONE AND MAKES A CALL.

BRIANNA:  I just wanted to make sure you were clear on the instructions…good.

SUDDENLY, SHARLENE EMERGES.

SHARLENE:  So that’s it.  Your connection to Taylor revealed at last.
BRIANNA:  Following me huh?
SHARLENE:  Who were you on the phone with?
BRIANNA:  I don’t owe you any explanation.

BRIANNA TRIES TO WALK AWAY BUT SHARLENE STEPS IN FRONT OF HER.

SHARLENE:  Oh you’re not going anywhere, not until you hear what I have to say.

-----------------------------------------------------------

AT THE PARK, GREGORY MEETS UP WITH TWO MEN.  HE TAKES OUT AN ENVELOPE WITH THE MONEY IN IT.

GREGORY:  Here it is.

MAN #1 TAKES THE ENVELOPE, LOOKS INSIDE AND GIVES IT TO MAN #2.

MAN #2:  Does it check out?
MAN #1:  Yep.

GREGORY:  Alright I’m in the clear now.
MAN#1:  Not quite.  She told us to give you a message.
GREGORY:  Who?

MAN#1 PUNCHES GREGORY IN THE ABDOMEN.

GREGORY:  What are you doing?

MAN#2 PUNCHES GREGORY IN HIS FACE, KNOCKING HIM DOWN.  THE MEN REPEATEDLY KICK GREGORY WHILE HE IS LYING ON THE GROUND.

------------------------------------------------------

BRIANNA:  You must be splitting again.  So what personality am I speaking with right now?  It certainly couldn’t be Sharly because she was integrated, and you couldn’t be Emma.  She would…oh wait, you’re Janice.  You got away with attempted murder, and you let Matthew’s mother take the fall.
SHARLENE:  Make all the jokes you want, just as long as you’re on a one way ticket out of Bay City.
BRIANNA:  That’s my plan you know.  Matthew and I are gonna ride off into the sunset.
SHARLENE:  Ha!  I bet Matthew has no idea who you really are.
BRIANNA:  And just who do you think I am?
SHARLENE:  There are a lot of words that would accurately describe you, but I’m not talking about adjectives.

BRIANNA TURNS AROUND AND TAKES THREE STEPS BACK TOWARD TAYLOR’S GRAVE.

BRIANNA:  I haven’t got all night Sharlene.
SHARLENE:  Oh come on Ellen, don’t be coy.

BRIANNA TURNS AROUND AND FACES SHARLENE.

BRIANNA:  You’ve got probably got your phone recording.  I’m not admitting to anything.
SHARLENE:  You don’t have to.  I heard you on your phone, and you just called Taylor ‘mom’.  Funny she never mentioned you.

------------------------------------------------------

LINDSAY IS AT THE NURSES STATION AS CHARLIE WALKS UP TO HER.
Charlie Winthrop Harrison

CHARLIE:  Hey girl.
LINDSAY:  Hey.  Pre natal checkup?
CHARLIE:  Nope.  Sonogram.  Kirkland went to check us in.
LINDSAY:  Wow.  That’s…that’s great.
CHARLIE:  Linds are you okay?
KIRKLAND:  I’ll…go check us in.

KIRKLAND LEAVES AND CHARLIE TURNS TO LINDSAY.

CHARLIE:  Something’s on your mind isn’t it?
LINDSAY:  Yeah.  I just found out that…Gregory lied to me.
CHARLIE:  What about?
LINDSAY:  He didn’t come home one night, and he said that he was at his parents’ house, but Sharlene just told me that he hasn’t spent the night there since he moved in with me.
CHARLIE:  That’s strange.  What do you think is going on?
LINDSAY:  I don’t know.  I’ll be sure to ask him when I see him again.

---------------------------------------------------------

ELIZABETH COMES TO THE PARK AND IS HORRIFIED.

ELIZABETH:  Oh my God!  Gregory!

ELIZABETH FINDS AN BLOODIED, BEATEN, AND UNCONSCIOUS GREGORY.

END OF PART 2

----------------------------------------------------------

CONCLUSION

BRIANNA:  You can’t be trusted to tell the truth.
SHARLENE:  Oh it IS true.  Taylor never once said that she had a daughter.  It all comes together.  You come to town bent on revenge on me.  Unfortunately I’m not to blame for your mother’s illness.  Tell me something.  Did your mother tell you to kill me before she died?
BRIANNA:  Maybe she did, and maybe she didn’t.
SHARLENE:  Looks like someone else has a problem with the truth.
BRIANNA:  Did you think I would stop with you?  What about John?  What about Gregory?

SHARLENE BECOMES CONCERNED.

SHARLENE:  What about them?

BRIANNA SMILES.

SHARLENE:  What did you do to them?  That was what the phone call was about it wasn’t it?

BRIANNA SMIRKS AND TRIES TO WALK PAST SHARLENE AGAIN.

SHARLENE:  If you hurt my family I swear to God…
BRIANNA:  And just what are you actually going to do Sharlene?

SHARLENE TAKES OUT HER GUN AND POINTS IT AT BRIANNA.

BRIANNA:  You’re not gonna shoot me Sharlene.  You don’t have the GUTS!

SHARLENE FIRES A SHOT AND BRIANNA JUMPS BACK.

BRIANNA:  What the hell are you doing?
SHARLENE:  If anything happens to a member of my family, the next bullet I fire will go right through your CHEST!

SHARLENE WALKS AWAY.

FREEZE FRAME ON SHARLENE.  SLOW FADE OUT.  END OF 336
