PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD:
  • Elizabeth was walking through the park and saw Gregory popping pills
  • Charlie Winthrop Harrison and KC Burrell applied for a Public Relations internship at Bay City Medical Center.  Chief Of Staff Thomasina Mason chose K.C., and Charlie has questions as to why she wasn't chosen

PART 1
Elizabeth Hutchins

Gregory Hudson

AT THE PARK, ELIZABETH IS WALKING AND SEES GREGORY SITTING ON A BENCH TAKING A COUPLE OF PILLS THAT T GAVE HIM.

ELIZABETH:  Hey Gregory what’s up?

GREGORY QUICKLY PUTS THE REST OF HIS PILLS IN HIS POCKET.

GREGORY:  Hey uh…Elizabeth what’s going on?
ELIZABETH:  Um not much just hangin out.  What were you taking just now?
GREGORY:  Taking what?
ELIZABETH:  I saw you put pills in your mouth like you were desperate to have them or something.
GREGORY:  Oh you mean my pain meds?  Yeah it helps me with my back pain.  My injury kinda got re-aggravated since the night of the accident.
ELIZABETH:  Oh okay cool.  Well it’s good to see ya.
GREGORY:  Yeah same here.
ELIZABETH:  I’m gonna head home.

ELIZABETH TURNS AROUND TO LEAVE THEN….

GREGORY:  Hey wait.  How are you doing…really?

----------------------------------
Dr. Thomasina Mason

KC Burrell

AT THOMASINA’S OFFICE, THOMASINA IS WITH K.C. BURRELL.

THOMASINA:  I want you to prepare a statement on Mr. Graves for the press conference.
K.C.:  Is that the…?
THOMASINA:  The CEO guy?  Yes.  Here’s the number for his publicist.
K.C.:  Good.  I’m sure the public wants to know about how he’s coming along.
THOMASINA:  It doesn’t have to be a huge to-do; just a simple statement.  Nothing too alarming though.
K.C.:  Gotcha.  I’ll get with his publicist.
THOMASINA:  Sounds good.

KC TURNS TO LEAVE AND THOMASINA STOPS HER.

THOMASINA:  Hey you…you seem a little nervous.  Don’t worry about it you’re gonna do great.  I got every confidence in you.

KC BREATHES A SIGH OF RELIEF.

KC:  Wow thank you Dr. Mason.  I did have some jitters.
THOMASINA:   You got this girl.  Don’t let anyone intimidate you.  Nurses, doctors, no one.  I support you one hundred percent.
K.C.: How do you suggest I handle them?
THOMASINA:  If anyone questions you about a press release, you tell them to come and talk to me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Frankie Frame

Charlie Winthrop Harrison
AT THE CENTER, FRANKIE IS WALKING AND TALKING ON HER SMART PHONE.

FRANKIE:  Yeah I need a check on Brianna Jameson.  Send it to my phone.  Thanks.

FRANKIE THEN WALKS TO CHARLIE’S TABLE AND SITS ACROSS FROM HER.

FRANKIE:  Got you a cup o joe.
CHARLIE:  Thank you.

FRANKIE PUTS THE CUP ON THE TABLE IN FRONT OF CHARLIE.

FRANKIE:  I’m…happy you decided to come and spend time with me.

CHARLIE STARES OFF INTO THE SHORT DISTANCE.

CHARLIE:  Yeah.
FRANKIE:  Charlie are you here?  I mean you haven’t even taken a sip of your latte.
CHARLIE:  I’m…I don’t want it.

MEANWHILE, RUSS MATTHEWS IS WALKING AND TALKING ON HIS CELL PHONE.
Dr. Russ Matthews

RUSS:  When are we going to out to dinner?...Come on Iris you can’t be that busy.  Good I…I’m glad I was able to convince you.  I’ll pick you up at eight.
FRANKIE:  What’s wrong?  Are you okay?
CHARLIE:  I’m thinking about what I’m going to ask Dr. Mason.  I mean how could she have given that P.R. internship to K.C. Burrell.

RUSS HEARS CHARLIE AND STOPS.

FRANKIE:  You told her you took classes in school right?
CHARLIE:  Yeah of course I did.  I just…I thought I would be a shoo in for it.
FRANKIE:  Well I think it’s good that you’re gonna go talk to her.
CHARLIE:  I just need a plausible explanation.  I really wanted that position.
FRANKIE:  Don’t worry honey you’ll…there’s something better for you out there.

RUSS LEAVES AND BRYANT KRAMER WALKS UP TO THEM.

BRYANT:  Hey it’s you.

FRANKIE LOOKS UP AT BRYANT IN AMAZEMENT.
Bryant Kramer

CHARLIE:  Do you…know us?
BRYANT:  Not you, but I know this woman.
CHARLIE:  Mom, do you know who this is?
FRANKIE:  Yep…I do.

FRANKIE GETS UP AND THEY HUG.

FRANKIE:  This is Bryant…Bryant Kramer.   Bryant this is Charlie…my daughter.

BRYANT EXTENDS HIS RIGHT HAND OUT TO CHARLIE AND SHE DOES THE SAME.

BRYANT:  Nice to meet you…Charlie.
CHARLIE:  Well I’m gonna…head over to the hospital.
FRANKIE:  Alright honey.  You’re not gonna drink your coffee?
CHARLIE:  No.  I’m sorry mom.  Nice to meet you Bryant.  See you guys later.

CHARLIE TAKES A FEW STEPS AWAY FROM FRANKIE AND BRYANT, AND LEANS UP AGAINST A BEAM TO PROP HERSELF.

CHARLIE:  Oh I feel like I’m gonna…throw up.

AT THE NURSES STATION, K.C. IS THERE WITH HER TABLET ON HER CELL PHONE.

K.C.:  Yeah maybe we can meet in the caf.  We can go over what you want to be said in the press release on Mr. Graves’ condition.  Alright I’ll see ya.

KC TURNS AROUND AND SEES RUSS MATTHEWS.

RUSS:  Hi KC.
K.C.:  Dr. Matthews.
RUSS:  I heard you mention Mr. Graves.  Are you talking about Paul Graves?
K.C.:  Yes we’re…preparing a press release for him.
RUSS:  I don’t think that’s a good idea.
K.C.:  It’s not gonna be a detailed one.  Just to let the people know that he’s fine and he’s doing well.
RUSS:  I’m sorry I don’t agree with that and I think you should call off the press conference.
K.C.:  Well I can’t do that?
RUSS:  Who authorized you to prepare a statement for my patient?

THOMASINA WALKS UP TO THEM.

THOMASINA:  I did.

CAMERA PAN ON THOMASINA…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

------------------------

ELIZABETH:  I’m…I’m good.
GREGORY:  You know we were all there when your father passed away.  I heard a whole lot of things about Carl when I was growing up but…he’s still your dad.
ELIZABETH:  Yep a lot has been said about him but…I still miss him.   He and I were close.
GREGORY:  I could see how devastated everybody was.
ELIZABETH:  Every day it gets a little easier but…the void is still there.
GREGORY:  I can’t imagine what it would be like to lose my dad.  I mean I…he’s been my rock all my life, especially when my mom was gone and going through her illness.  I don’t know what I’d do without him.  You’re lucky that you have a good support system.
ELIZABETH:  Yeah it helps.
GREGORY:  I don’t wanna keep you but if…if you need a friend…someone to talk to…you can call or text me.  Seriously…hit me up.
ELIZABETH:  I’ll…keep that in mind.

-----------

FRANKIE:  Bryant I...it’s good to see you.  How are you doing?
BRYANT:  I’m great.  Fresh outta college.
FRANKIE:  You graduated?  Congratulations.  I’m proud of you.  I know you worked very hard for it.  What are you doing now?
BRYANT:  Looking for a job.
FRANKIE:  Any leads?
BRYANT:  A few I gotta follow up with.  Nothing concrete at the moment.  I missed you at my graduation.
FRANKIE:  I’m sorry about that.  I didn’t even know when it was taking place.
BRYANT:  That’s surprising.  Brad didn’t tell you?
FRANKIE:  O’Neill?  Why would he be telling me?
BRYANT:  You didn’t know?  He’s here…in Bay City.  He and my mom came to see me walk across the stage.

FRANKIE IS SHOCKED TO HEAR THAT THE MAN SHE IS TRYING TO DIVORCE IS IN BAY CITY.

FRANKIE:  How is he?  Is…is he well?
BRYANT:  Yeah he’s fine.  He’s as strong as ever.  He…hasn’t said anything about his leukemia.  As far as I know he’s still in remission.
FRANKIE:  Oh okay…good.
BRYANT:  Have you gotten in touch with Cass Winthrop?
FRANKIE:  Charlie’s father?  Yes we’re back together.  In fact we’re engaged to be married.
BRYANT:  So you and Brad are officially divorced now?

FRANKIE DOESN’T ANSWER AND JUST LOOKS AT BRYANT.

BRYANT:  Cass proposed to you and you’re not divorced?   He doesn’t know does he?  Cass doesn’t know that you’re still married to Brad.
FRANKIE:  No he doesn’t.  Besides I’ve filed for divorce.
BRYANT:  Well aren’t you gonna tell him?
FRANKIE:  No I’m going to tell Cass…until after the divorce is final.
BRYANT:  Why not?  Oh my God…Frankie don’t tell me you still have feelings for Brad.

-----------------------------------------------------

AT THE NURSES STATION, KC IS SWIPING HER TABLET WHEN CHARLIE WALKS UP TO HER.

CHARLIE:  KC.
KC:  Hey Charlie what’s up?
CHARLIE:  Hey have you seen Dr. Mason?
KC:  Yeah she and Dr. Matthews went to her office.
CHARLIE:  Oh good.  I need to talk to her.
KC:  She’s in her office, and it seems like she and Dr. Matthews are about to have it out.

IN THOMASINA’S OFFICE…

THOMASINA:  Is there a problem Dr. Matthews?
RUSS:  How could you approve a press release on my patient?
THOMASINA:  Because I’m the Chief of Staff and I can make decisions such as that.
RUSS:  Have you even taken into consideration how the family might feel about it?  Do they want Mr. Graves’s health condition released to the public?
THOMASINA:  We’ve already spoken with his wife and she seemed fine with it.
RUSS:  He and his wife are separated.  I mean this is…this is just one of the bonehead…

RUSS STOPS AND THOMASINA FOCUSES ON RUSS.

THOMASINA:  Excuse me?  You can go ahead and say it Dr. Matthews.  Tell me how you really feel.
RUSS:  Look, with all due respect, things have been happening at the hospital since you took over as Chief of Staff.  The security breach being one of them.
THOMASINA:  And if you were in my position you would have prevented it?
RUSS:  It happened under your watch.
THOMASINA:  It’s not my fault that the board did not approve funding for a firewall until after the breach occurred, and nobody’s patient information was compromised…not that I have to explain this to you.
RUSS:  I am a well-respected doctor in this hospital so yes, you do owe me an explanation as to why the operations are failing.
THOMASINA:  Tell me Dr. Matthews, why you question my ability to run Bay City Medical Center huh?
RUSS:  You want my honest answer?  I think the board made a mistake in hiring you as Chief of Staff.
THOMASINA:  And are you sure that’s all of it?
RUSS:  Not only did the security breach happen on your watch, you approved a press release for my patient without even consulting me.

CHARLIE SLOWLY APPROACHES THE DOOR TO THOMASINA’S OFFICE, AND DECIDES TO LISTEN AS THE CONVERSATION BETWEEN RUSS AND THOMASINA ESCALATES.

THOMASINA:  I only will consult on Mr. Graves’s treatment, not press releases.
RUSS:  You are clearly not qualified to run this hospital.
THOMASINA:  I’m sorry that you are still bitter over the board’s decision to choose me over you as Chief of Staff, but I have a theory as to why.
RUSS:  And what would that be?

THOMASINA FOLDS HER ARMS AND FACES RUSS.

THOMASINA:  Oh so you’re afraid to admit it, because I’m gonna say it.  You hate that you have to report to a black woman!

CHARLIE, WHO IS LISTENING OUTSIDE, OPENS HER MOUTH IN AMAZEMENT AFTER HEARING THOMASINA’S STATEMENT.

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD:

-       Bridget had an OB/GYN appointment and had tests run for Sexually transmitted infections.  Her vengeful sister Michele hacked into the Bay City Medical Center mainframe and changed Bridget’s test to appear positive.  Bridget was informed that she has chlamydia.  Bridget informed her boyfriend Cory Hutchins, who also had a test run.  He tested negative and broke up with Bridget.

-       Gregory Hudson has been involved in two car accidents.  The first car accident left him temporarily paralyzed from the waist down.  He recovered and is able to walk again.  His second accident was caused by Felicia Gallant Blake’s drunk driving.  Gregory was fine physically but had residual back pain due to his previous injury.  He was prescribed painkillers by Dr. Maggie Winthrop.  He has developed an addiction to these painkillers and now seeking drugs off of the streets.

PART 1

AT THE CENTER, MICHELE IS SITTING ACROSS FROM ELIZABETH…

Elizabeth

Michele McKinnon

ELIZABETH:  So what if Cory finds out what you’ve done?  Do you think he’ll ever forgive you?  You say that this isn’t about him but…this could mess up your friendship.

MICHELE:  Come on Lizzie I don’t wanna think about things like that right now.  All I want…is for Bridget to suffer!

ELIZABETH:  And I want my brother to be away from her.

MICHELE:  So you shouldn’t feel bad for anyone.  Cory will be hurt for a short while, but he’ll realize he is better off without my sister, and she’ll get a taste of her own medicine.

ELIZABETH:  Wow it’s…finally happening.

MICHELE:  Damned right.

ELIZABETH:  I mean at the end of all of this, nobody’s really gonna be hurt.  Bridget will finish the antibiotics and nobody will ever know.

MICHELE:  She needs to learn that her actions have consequences.

ELIZABETH:  You put a lot of thought into this.

MICHELE:  You know I did.

ELIZABETH:  Cory will be better off without her.

MICHELE:  I’m gonna head home.  Are you gonna talk to Cory?

ELIZABETH:  I’ll see him when I get home.  I’ll text you.

MICHELE:  Great.

MICHELE GETS UP…

MICHELE:  Hey Lizzie?

ELIZABETH:  What’s up?

MICHELE:  Thank you for…your friendship.

ELIZABETH:  You’re my girl.  Of course.

MICHELE:  Well I’ll…I’ll see ya.

MICHELE WALKS AWAY AND DANTE APPROACHES ELIZABETH FROM BEHIND.

Dante Carlino

DANTE:  Boo!

ELIZABETH (jumping):  Whoa!  Oh my God.  Dante you scared the crap outta me!

DANTE:  Hey what can I say?   I’m happy to see you.

ELIZABETH (smiling):  Come here you.

THEY HUG.

ELIZABETH:  It’s been a while.  You look good.

DANTE:  Thank you so do you.  So…uh…are you busy?

ELIZABETH:  I always have time for you.

DANTE SMILES.

AT THE CORYS, RACHEL IS WALKING DOWNSTAIRS TO THE FOYER TALKING ON HER CELL PHONE…

Rachel Cory Hutchins

Cory Hutchins

RACHEL:  Yes for dinner.  Is it wrong for me to want to spend some time with my grandson?   Good I’m glad I could convince you.  You can bring Joy, too.  Okay I love you.

RACHEL PRESSES END CALL, LOOKS IN THE LIVING ROOM, AND SEES CORY SITTING ON THE COUCH.

RACHEL:  Cory I just got off the phone with Steven.  I’m gonna have him and Joy over for dinner I’d love for you and your sister to join us.

CORY:  Yeah.

RACHEL:  Cory what’s wrong?

CORY HAS A FLASHBACK (EPISODE 296)

A HOSPITAL WORKER WALKS IN WITH AN ENVELOPE.

WORKER:  Cory Hutchins?

CORY:  Yes.

WORKER:  These are your test results.

THE WORKER GIVES CORY THE ENVELOPE AND LEAVES.  CORY LOOKS AT BRIDGET.  HE OPENS IT AND LOOKS AT THE RESULTS.

BRIDGET:  So…what does it say?

CORY:  Negative.

BRIDGET’S EYES START TO WELL UP.

BRIDGET:  So I guess…that means it’s over.  Just like that?

CORY FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT.

RACHEL:  Is this about Bridget?

CORY:  It’s over mom.

RACHEL:  So your…test came back negative.

CORY:  I don’t have chlamydia.

RACHEL:  So that means that…Bridget cheated on you.  Oh honey I’m so sorry.

-----------------------------------

AT DONNA’S SUITE, DONNA IS ON HER CELL PHONE WHILE JAKE AND PAULINA SIT ON THE COUCH IN THE LIVING ROOM.

Donna Love

Jake McKinnon

Paulina Cory

DONNA:  Victoria it’s your mother.  Call me as soon as you get this.

DONNA HANGS UP AND TURNS TO JAKE AND PAULINA.

DONNA:  I have no idea where Victoria is.

PAULINA:  She needs to be here for Bridget.

JAKE:  I have an idea.

JAKE HAS A FLASHBACK TO (EPISODE 282)

VICKY:  Anyone sitting here?

BRADLEY:  I’m looking at you hoping that you’d be.

VICKY:  I thought you’d never ask.

FROM A SHORT DISTANCE, JAKE OBSERVES THEM.

JAKE FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT.

JAKE:  She’s out on a date.

DONNA:  A date?  Well Jake if it didn’t know any better I think you’d be jealous.

JAKE:  Jealous?  Come on Donna we’re not married anymore.  She’s free to date who she wants, but Bridget and Michele are still our daughters, and Vicky hasn’t been supportive of Bridget.

PAULINA:  What did she say to you the other day?

JAKE:  She went on about how Bridget should take responsibility and blah blah blah.

DONNA:  Well that’s terrible.  Victoria needs to support her daughter.

JAKE:  Vicky just won’t support Bridget at all.

PAULINA:  If Vicky can’t support, then we will.

BRIDGET WALKS THROUGH THE FOYER, PAST THE CENTER TABLE WITH THE FLOWERS TO THE LIVING ROOM ENTRY.  DONNA, JAKE, AND PAULINA TURN THEIR ATTENTION TOWARD HER.  DONNA WALKS UP TO BRIDGET.  BRIDGET TRIES TO HOLD BACK, BUT SHE STARTS SOBBING, AND DONNA EMBRACES HER.

Bridget McKinnon

DONNA:  Oh honey.  Cory tested negative.

BRIDGET NODS HER HEAD AND JAKE AND PAULINA WALK UP TO HER.

PAULINA:  No matter what.  You have our support.

JAKE:  Paulina’s right.  We all love you.

BRIDGET:  Despite the fact that I have chlamydia and I don’t know how I got it.

DONNA:  Even then.  We’re never going to stop loving you.

BRIDGET’S CELL PHONE BEEPS AND SHE CHECKS IT.

BRIDGET:  It’s time for me to take my amoxicillin.

PAULINA:  I’ll get you some water.

DONNA:  Listen to me we’re gonna get through this.  We’re all behind you.

BRIDGET:  Cory isn’t.

DONNA:  So you two broke up?

BRIDGET:  Yep…it’s over.

JAKE:  I know you don’t wanna hear this, but it’s not the end of the world.

PAULINA WALKS BACK INTO THE LIVING ROOM WITH A GLASS OF WATER.

PAULINA (giving it to Bridget):  Here you go.

BRIDGET PUTS AN AMOXICILLIN PILL IN HER MOUTH AND DRINKS THE WATER.

BRIDGET:  Thank you but I don’t need…I don’t need to be….

JAKE:  We want to.

DONNA:  And there’s nothing you can do about it.

----------------------------

AT THE PARK, T IS STANDING NEXT TO A BENCH AND GREGORY EMERGES.
"T"

Gregory Hudson

T:  Hey man you’re not lookin’ too good.

GREGORY (looks to his left, then his right):  So you got the stuff man?

T REACHES INTO HIS JEANS POCKET AND TAKES A CLEAR BAG OF PILLS OUT.

T:  Look dude this is the last time.  We can’t do this here anymore.

GREGORY:  What do you mean?  Do I need to get it from Brianna?

T:  No.

T GIVES GREGORY THE PILLS, TAKES HIS PHONE OUT, AND TEXTS SOMETHING TO GREGORY.

T:  I just texted it to you.

GREGORY LOOKS AT THE TEXT AND READS IT BACK.

GREGORY:  A web address?  Satin Avenue?  What the hell is that?

T:  Follow the instructions and you’ll get what you need.  I gotta go.

GREGORY:  Hey wait!

T SLINKS OFF AS GREGORY HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO WATCH HIM LEAVE.

CAMERA PAN ON GREGORY…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

----------------------

PART 2

IN THE CAR, JAKE IS DRIVING WHILE PAULINA SITS IN THE PASSENGER’S SEAT.

PAULINA:  Poor Bridget.

JAKE:  It’s just…something she has to go through.

PAULINA:  Cory was the only she’s ever had.  She must think this is the worst thing in the world.

JAKE:  Well yeah but…she was adamant about not having slept with someone else.

PAULINA:  I know…that’s what makes it a little odd.  How could she have been diagnosed with a STI and Cory’s the only guy she’s had sex with.

JAKE:  You would think that he’s the one who had the disease but…his test was negative.  Something isn’t right about this.

------------------------------

CORY:  You don’t have to be mom.

RACHEL:  But I am I mean…this is your first real breakup right?

CORY:  Yeah I…I really loved Bridget but she cheated on me.

RACHEL:  Listen, why don’t you join us for dinner?  Maybe it’ll make you feel better to be around your family.

CORY:  I dunno if I’m in the mood to eat after learning that my girlfriend’s been cheating on me all this time.

RACHEL WALKS UP TO HIM AND RUBS HIS BACK.

RACHEL:  Oh sweetheart.  You’ll get through this.

CORY:  I mean she…she swears she didn’t sleep with anyone else.  I mean how could she just stand there and lie to me over and over.

RACHEL:  You’re gonna come across women who do that.  You just have to be more careful and pick the right woman.  One day you’ll look back on this and smile…and be grateful for the lesson.

CORY:  Yeah…never trust girls.

RACHEL:  That’s not quite the lesson I think you’re supposed to learn from this.

CORY:  It’s easier.  I don’t wanna feel this hurt again.

RACHEL:  You’re too young to remember this saying but…it’s better to loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.

CORY:  Sure doesn’t feel like it.

-------------------------------------------

AT THE MCKINNONS, MICHELE IS IN THE LIVING ROOM WITH HER FEET ON THE COFFEE TABLE, AND VICKY WALKS IN.

Vicky Hudson

VICKY:  Hey.

MICHELE:  Hi there mom.

MICHELE GETS UP, WALKS TO HER, AND GIVES HER HUG.

VICKY:  What was that for?

MICHELE:  Can’t I give my mom a hug?

VICKY:  Yeah but…I guess you could.  You seem awfully giddy.  What’s going on?

MICHELE:  Some things just…go your way sometimes right?

VICKY:  They sure do.  I can’t say the same about your sister.

MICHELE:  Really?  What happened?

VICKY:  She’s…she’s been diagnosed with chlamydia.

MICHELE TURNS AROUND AND FACES AWAY FROM VICKY.

MICHELE:  Oh that’s terrible.

MICHELE SMILES IN DELIGHT AS HER SCHEME AGAINST BRIDGET SEEMS TO BE WORKING.

-----------------------------------

DONNA:  Honey is there anything that I can do?

BRIDGET:  Get Cory back for me?  Get him to love me again.  He must hate my guts right now.

That kind of love just doesn’t go away.

BRIDGET:  Are you sure about that because he just…broke up with me when his test came back and left.

DONNA:  Some guys can be cruel.

BRIDGET:  I mean I don’t even know how this happened.  I promise you grandma Donna that I have never slept with anyone but Cory.

DONNA:  Did you ask Dr. Davidson to re-test you.

BRIDGET:  She said they ran it three times.  They all came up positive.

DONNA:  Maybe you should…take another test…just to make sure.

BRIDGET SIGHS, SEEMINGLY RESIGNED ABOUT HER CONDITION.

BRIDGET:  No no.  I’ll just do what Dr. Davidson said.  Take the antibiotics and in about two weeks it’ll…go away.

--------------------------------

DANTE AND ELIZABETH ARE WALKING SLOWLY TOWARD THE PARK SIDE BY SIDE.

ELIZABETH:  My God Dante I’m…I’m sorry that happened to you.

DANTE:  It feels…kinda good to get it off my chest.

ELIZABETH:  To tell me what you told me.  Were you scared?

DANTE:  Yeah…yeah I was.

ELIZABETH:  Scared of what?

DANTE:  I…thought that you’d…hate me.

THEY STOP AND ELIZABETH TURNS AND FACES DANTE.

ELIZABETH:  I could never hate you.

DANTE:  I hate the way things ended between us.

ELIZABETH:  No.  I went to school and…you went to the Police Academy.  We just went our separate ways and we learned about ourselves.

DANTE:  You haven’t changed at all.

ELIZABETH:  I hope you mean that in a good way.

DANTE:  Of course I do.  I still see that fire in you that you’ve always had.  You’re kinda like my mom in that way.

ELIZABETH:  Your dad, too.

DANTE:  I miss him.  I know you miss yours.

ELIZABETH:  Every day.

DANTE:  I should have been here for you.

ELIZABETH:  Will you stop apologizing for something you had no control over?  You were at the academy.  Besides, you’re here now and I’m so happy that we got a chance to catch up.

DANTE (smiles):  Yeah…me, too.  Well I gotta get back to the station.

ELIZABETH:  Okay.  Don’t be a stranger.

DANTE:  You bet.

ELIZABETH KISSES DANTE ON HIS LEFT CHEEK AND WALKS AWAY IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION.  ELIZABETH TURNS AROUND, WALKS A FEW STEPS, AND SEES GREGORY SITTING ON A BENCH TAKING A COUPLE OF PILLS THAT T GAVE HIM.

ELIZABETH:  Hey Gregory what’s up?
