Characters in this episode:  Eric Stenbeck, Cass Winthrop, Frankie Frame, Felicia Gallant Blake, Christy Carson, Devin Hutchins, Brianna Jameson

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD

---Eric Stenbeck got footage of Kirkland Harrison sleeping with another man.  Eric used this footage to blackmail Kirkland into having sex with him
---Someone tampered with the brakes on Sharlene's car, and tried to run Sharlene over in the Bay City Medical Center parking garage.  Cass and Frankie have been investigating these attacks and it has lead them to Brianna Jameson.
---A mystery person has been harassing Devin so Devin can agree to use his new club as a front for drug distribution and money laundering.  Devin has not complied, and was subsequently beaten by goons.
---Christy Carson knows that Brianna Jameson is really Ellen Benson, Taylor Benson's daughter, and Brianna is out for revenge on Sharlene.
---Christy poisoned Felicia with a substance that caused Felicia to crave liquor.  After Rachel disowned Felicia as a friend, Lorna leaving town, and Felicia witnessing Mitch hugging Sharlene, Felicia fell off the wagon.  That same night, a pregnant Christy was leaving Bay City.  Felicia, Christy and Gregory (who was driving Sharlene's car) got into a three car accident.  Christy miscarried as a result, but she dropped the charges against Felicia.  Felicia later discovered a box containing a dead fetus outside of the door of her suite.

PART 1

AT ERIC’S PLACE, A BARECHESTED GUY PICKS UP HIS SHIRT OFF OF THE FLOOR AND PUTS IT ON.  ERIC LIES ON HIS BED STARING AT THE CEILING.
Eric Stenbeck

GUY (buttoning up his shirt):  You’re good.
ERIC:  I guess so.
GUY (looking at Eric):  Looks like something’s on your mind.  Wanna talk about it?
ERIC:  No offense but I’m not gonna tell my troubles to a guy I just hooked up with.
GUY:  Sorry I just…I’m gonna leave.
"Guy"

THE GUY WALKS OUT AND ERIC HAS A FLASHBACK. (EPISODE 262)

ERIC:  What?  Don’t you...like this?
KIRKLAND:  Hell no I don’t like this!  I hate it!  I hate what I’m doing to my wife, and I’m not gonna hurt her anymore.
ERIC:  And you don’t have to.  I’m not gonna tell her anything about us.

KIRKLAND TURNS TO ERIC.

KIRKLAND:  You don’t get it do you?   There’s no us!  No more of this!  It’s over.

KIRKLAND WALKS TO THE DOOR.

ERIC:  No.  Please.  Don’t leave.  What do you want me to do?  I’ll...I’ll give you all the footage I have of you.

KIRKLAND STOPS.

ERIC:  I’m...I...I’m getting feelings for you.  I’ll do whatever.  I’ll give you all the material of you sleeping with the bartender.  I just wanna...start fresh.

KIRKLAND TURNS AROUND.

KIRKLAND:  You can’t be serious.
ERIC:  I am.  I’m falling in love with you.
KIRKLAND:  Oh my God.
ERIC:  Is something wrong with me?
KIRKLAND:  Wrong?  This whole situation is wrong!
ERIC:  I mean...you don’t feel anything for me?  After what we’ve done together.
KIRKLAND:  You are truly sick aren’t you?  You and your mother.

KIRKLAND TURNS TO WALK TO THE DOOR AND ERIC GRABS KIRKLAND’S RIGHT ARM.

ERIC:  Come on Kirkland.  Please.  Don’t leave me like this.  Please.

KIRKLAND SHAKES HIS HEAD AND WALKS OUT

ERIC FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT AS A TEAR ROLLS DOWN THE LEFT SIDE OF HIS FACE.

------------------

AT THE WINTHROP’S, CASS AND FRANKIE ARE IN BED.  FRANKIE IS LYING HER HEAD ON CASS’S BARE CHEST.
Cass Winthrop

Frankie Frame

CASS:  Two more weeks.
FRANKIE:  That’s right.
CASS:  You sure you wanna be Mrs. Winthrop again?
FRANKIE:  Why wouldn’t I be?  I’m a glutton.  I mean you were so impossible when we were married before.
CASS:  It wasn’t as though you were a walk in the park either.
FRANKIE:  Oh come on I was a good wife.
CASS:  For the most part.

FRANKIE LIFTS HER HEAD UP AND LOOKS AT CASS.

FRANKIE:  What is that supposed to mean?
CASS:  Nobody’s perfect.  I mean you…burned some meals and arrived late to our meetings sometimes.
FRANKIE:  Wow that pales in comparison to things you’ve done.  I mean I caught you kissing Cecile.
CASS:  You know that was because she drugged me.
FRANKIE:  And you mean to tell me that a little bitty part of you didn’t enjoy that?
CASS:  No…I mean…no.
FRANKIE:  Oh you had to think about that one for a minute.  You’ve never caught me kissing another guy during our first marriage did you?
CASS:  Oh come on Frankie I’m joking.  You’re perfect for me, and we had Charlie.
FRANKIE:  And Charlie’s having a baby.
CASS:  Things are almost perfect.

FRANKIE LIES HER HEAD BACK ON CASS’S CHEST.

FRANKIE:  Thinking about Maggie huh?
CASS:  Yeah she’s in Wood Pines.
FRANKIE:  After everything she’s done I don’t believe for one second she abuses drugs.
CASS:  That Brianna girl is after her.  I’m not gonna let her hurt my daughter.
FRANKIE:  Neither am I.

FRANKIE’S CELL PHONE VIBRATES.  SHE LEANS OVER AND CHECKS IT.

CASS:  Who’s that?
FRANKIE:  I’ve been waiting for this.
CASS:  For what?  A booty call?
FRANKIE:  These are Brianna Jameson’s cell phone records.

------------------

AT THE HOSPITAL…
BRIANNA IS ON HER CELL PHONE IN THE LOCKER ROOM.
Brianna Jameson

BRIANNA:  Hi this is Dr. Taylor Benson.  I’m treating Marguerite Winthrop.  The last time I was there she was extremely volatile.  I suggest that you increase the dosage on her sedative.  For her safety she must remain sedated.  A written…I’ll fax something over…in person?  I am her doctor.  I have other patients I must tend to I don’t have time to…alright I’ll be down there to sign.

BRIANNA PRESSES END CALL.

BRIANNA:  Dammit!

-------------------

MEANWHILE, FELICIA IS IN DEVIN’S ROOM…

Felicia Gallant Blake

Devin Hutchins

FELICIA:  I know exactly who’s responsible for this.
DEVIN:  Grandma don’t go confronting everyone.
FELICIA:  She left a dead fetus in a box in front of my door, and now she sent goons to beat up my grandson.
DEVIN:  Wait a minute.  Who left a dead fetus at your doorstep?
FELICIA:  Christy Carson.  She’s not gonna get away with this.
DEVIN:  Christy?
FELICIA:  Yes that vile woman.
DEVIN:  You told me about her.
FELICIA:  She blames me for killing her unborn baby in that accident on Route 17, so I figured she was going to come after me.
DEVIN:  I know what you told me about her but I don’t think she’s responsible for what happened to me.
FELICIA:  Really?  How could she not be?  That spineless jellyfish has no regard for anyone.  It’s one thing to come after me.  I can deal with that, but she’s coming after you.  What if she goes after Lorna or Jenna?
DEVIN:  We discussed this before but I really don’t think it was her this time.
FELICIA:  Well who else could it have been?  She’s the only logical choice.  Well I’m not gonna let her attack someone else in my family.
DEVIN:  Grandma wait.  There’s really no proof that…that Christy sent those goons to beat me.
FELICIA:  Oh my God you sound like Toni Burrell!  It was Christy who put the dead fetus at my doorstep and it was she who sent those goons to beat you up!
DEVIN:  I don’t…want you to go accusing her of something and she didn’t do it.
FELICIA:  Are you actually defending her?
DEVIN:  No I just don’t want you to do anything stupid.  Look why don’t you go and…take a walk.  Calm down and little bit and we can talk okay.
FELICIA:  I won’t be calm until Christy is gone.

---------------

AT CHRISTY’S SUITE, CHRISTY TAKES OUT A BOTTLE OF FLURAZEPAM AND A BOTTLE OF VODKA.  SHE PLACES BOTH ON A DESK.
Christy Carson

CHRISTY:  Time for Felicia to pay once and for all.

PART 2
CASS AND FRANKIE ARE LOOKING OVER PAPERS IN THE LIVING ROOM.

CASS:  Find anything?
FRANKIE:  I’m looking for the day that Sharlene was attacked in the parking garage.  Here it goes.
CASS:   Thank God Lindsay was there.  Your aunt would have been roadkill.
FRANKIE:  Brianna’s cell phone signal pinged off of the tower nearest to the hospital around the time that she tried to run down Sharlene.
CASS:  Frankie I…hate to break it to you but that doesn’t prove anything.
FRANKIE:  What do you mean?  It proves Brianna was at the…hospital.
CASS:  She could have been anywhere in the hospital.  It doesn’t mean that she was in the parking garage.
FRANKIE:  You’re right but you’re wrong.  Brianna tried to run down my aunt, and she more than likely tampered with the brakes in her car that night of the Route 17 accident.
CASS:  We don’t have proof that Brianna committed either act.

SOMETHING ON THE PAPER CATCHES FRANKIE’S ATTENTION.

FRANKIE:  Oh my God.
CASS:  What is it?
FRANKIE:  The last number that Brianna called around that time the signal pinged off the tower.  It looks familiar.  I’m gonna look in my contacts.
CASS:  Someone you know?

FRANKIE SCROLLS IN HER CELL PHONE CONTACTS AND SUDDENLY STOPS.

FRANKIE:  You’ve gotta be kidding me.  How do they know each other?
CASS:  Who?
FRANKIE:  Christy.
CASS:  Really?
FRANKIE:  This number is to Christy’s cell phone.
CASS:  Wow.  Why would Brianna be working with Christy?
FRANKIE:  Christy probably has something on her.  If we find out what that is, we will know everything we need to know about Brianna.

---------------

FELICIA WALKS OUT OF DEVIN’S ROOM…AND BRIANNA EMERGES.  SHE TAKES OUT HER CELL PHONE AND MAKES A CALL TO CHRISTY.

BRIANNA:  Thought you might wanna know.  Felicia’s grandson was brought into the hospital, and she just left his room.  She wasn’t very happy.
CHRISTY:  And she probably thinks I had something to do with it.
BRIANNA:  She might be heading directly to you.
CHRISTY:  And that would work perfectly.  Thanks for the heads up.
BRIANNA:  No problem.

BRIANNA PRESSES END CALL.  AS BRIANNA LEAVES, A MYSTERY PERSON WALKS UP TO THE WINDOW AND LOOKS IN AT DEVIN.

----------------

IN DEVIN’S ROOM, HE GETS A TEXT AND LOOKS AT IT.  THE TEXT READS:  DID MY GUYS DELIVER THE MSG?  I SUGGEST YOU COMPLY.   IT CAN GET WORSE IF YOU DON’T.
DEVIN TEXTS BACK:  I WILL COMPLY.

----------------

THE MYSTERY PERSON OUTSIDE THE DOOR, WEARING BLACK LEATHER GLOVES, PUTS THE PHONE AWAY IN THEIR RIGHT POCKET AND WALKS AWAY.

----------------

AT CHRISTY’S SUITE, SOMEONE RINGS THE DOORBELL, AND CHRISTY LOOKS AT THE DOOR AND SMILES.  SHE GOES, OPENS IT, AND SEES ERIC.

CHRISTY:  You?
ERIC:  Nice to see you, too mom.
CHRISTY:  No it’s not like that.  I’m always happy to see you.  I’m just surprised that’s all.
ERIC:  I guess I’m surprised, too.  Look I know it’s late and I’m not gonna keep you but…I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and…there’s nothing really here for me in Bay City.
CHRISTY:  Okay uh, so what exactly does that mean?
ERIC:  I wanna leave town…with you.
CHRISTY (smiles):  Oh…oh my God.  Wow that’s the best news I’ve heard in a long time.

CHRISTY HUGS ERIC TIGHTLY.

CHRISTY:  Oh son we’re…finally gonna get the hell out of Bay City for good.  Do you need to go and pack anything?
ERIC:  Everything’s packed.
CHRISTY:  Okay well I’ll send for your things and…I’ll book you a flight now.
ERIC:  Where?
CHRISTY:  Just think of it as…paradise.

SHE SHOWS HIM THE FLIGHT SHE BOOKED ON HER PHONE.

ERIC:  Paradise, New Mexico.  Isn’t that where Paul and Henry live?
CHRISTY:  You’ll be with your brothers until I arrive.
ERIC:  When are you going?
CHRISTY:  Honey I’ll be down fairly shortly.  There’s something I have to do first.

ERIC LOOKS OVER ON THE TABLE AND SEES THE PILLS AND VODKA.

ERIC:  Why do you have that on the table?
CHRISTY (sighs):  The less you know, the better.  Just...go to the airport.
ERIC:  Okay um…Mom?
CHRISTY:  What is it honey?
ERIC:  I’m sorry.
CHRISTY:  Listen you’ll have plenty of time to apologize when I get to Paradise.  I just need you to get out of here.

CHRISTY ESCORTS ERIC TO THE DOOR AND HE LEAVES.  THE DOOR IS OPEN AS CHRISTY TURNS HER BACK TO IT.

CHRISTY:  This couldn’t have worked out any more perfect.

SUDDENLY, FELICIA WALKS IN AND SLAMS THE DOOR.

FELICIA:  You vile, evil bitch!

CHRISTY SMILES, PULLS OUT A GUN, AND TURNS AROUND TO FACE FELICIA.

CHRISTY:  Felicia I’ve been expecting you.

AT THE HOSPITAL, VICKY is in the waiting area nodded off as BRADLEY approaches her.  She suddenly wakes up as she feels a presence in front of her.
Vicky Hudson

Bradley O' Neill

VICKY:  Oh!  Hey.  You really shouldn’t sneak up on people like that.
BRADLEY:  I’m sorry.  I should have made a sound.  I got your text.  I got you some take out from Tops.  I figured you might be a little hungry.
VICKY:  Thank you.

BRADLEY SITS NEXT TO HER.

BRADLEY:  Any word on Bridget?
VICKY:  No.  Nothing’s changed.  She’s still in a coma.
BRADLEY:  Wow.  Must be really serious.
VICKY:  Dr. Matthews said she may have suffered anaphylactic shock.
BRADLEY:  What is she allergic to?
VICKY:  I guess that’s what they’re trying to find out now.
BRADLEY:  Anyone else here with you?
VICKY:  Guess they listened to Dr.  Matthews and went home.  Donna will be back soon I’m sure.  She just went to change her clothes.  I think Jake and Paulina are still here.  I wanted to stay to see if anything may have changed.
BRADLEY:  Is there anything I can do?

VICKY SMILES.

VICKY:  You being here is more than enough.

VICKY LEANS ON BRADLEY’S RIGHT SHOULDER, AND HE PUTS LEFT ARM AROUND VICKY.  MEANWHILE, JAKE SEES THIS FROM A SHORT DISTANCE.
Jake McKinnon

--------------
Paulina Cory

PAULINA WALKS UP TO JAKE, WHO IS LOOKING AT BRADLEY COMFORT VICKY.

PAULINA:  Oh, guess Vicky’s got company.
JAKE:  Hey it’s…none of my business.  Vicky can see who she wants.
PAULINA:  I’m sorry Jake.  You and Vicky shared a lot of years together.
JAKE:  She’s Bridget and Michele’s mother.  We had our problems but I’m always gonna care about her.
PAULINA:  Of course.
JAKE:  I hate all this waiting.
PAULINA:  I mean, Dr. Matthews said to come back in the morning.  Maybe you should go home and get some rest.
JAKE:  If you’ll come with me.
PAULINA:  Well, you can crash at my place.  It’s closer.

-------------
Dr. Russ Matthews

IN AN OFFICE, DR. RUSS MATTHEWS IS THERE WITH DR. DAVIDSON.  DR. DAVIDSON GIVES RUSS THREE PIECES OF PAPER.

DR. DAVIDSON: Bridget McKinnon’s test results. I printed these for you to look at.  I need another set of eyes for this.
RUSS (looking over the papers):  Are these the results from her OB visit with you?
DR. DAVIDSON:  Yes.
RUSS:  It says she tested positive for chlamydia.
DR. DAVIDSON:  Now look at page two.
RUSS:  These are the tests we ran after we induced the coma.
DR. DAVIDSON:  Right.
RUSS:  It shows amoxicillin in her blood stream.  Looks like that was the cause of her allergic reaction.
DR. DAVIDSON:  Now go to page three.
RUSS:  What?  There’s no chlamydia in her blood.
DR. DAVIDSON:  That’s weird don’t you think?
RUSS:  Not if she has been taking the antibiotic for a while.
DR. DAVIDSON:  Look at the dates.  I just prescribed her the amoxicillin.
RUSS:   That looks kind of sudden.
DR. DAVIDSON:  I thought it was me but…the tests show no trace of the chlamydia in her blood at all.  That’s crazy.  The antibiotic couldn’t have worked that fast.
RUSS:  Seems to make sense.
DR. DAVIDSON:  It’s almost like Bridget never had chlamydia at all.

CAMERA PAN ON RUSS…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

PART 2

AT PAULINA’S, PAULINA BRINGS OUT A FOLDED BLANKET FOR JAKE.

PAULINA:  Here you go.

PAULINA:  Well you don’t expect me to lay it out for you.  I think you’re more than capable of doing that yourself.
JAKE:  You mean you don’t provide maid service?  I mean you worked at Carlino’s for years.
PAULINA:  Oh is that supposed to be funny?
JAKE:  Are you headed to the kitchen?  You should be taking my order.

PAULINA PLAYFULLY HITS HIM ON HIS LEFT ARM.

PAULINA:  Oh shut up.
JAKE:  Before I go to the hospital in the morning can you make me breakfast?
PAULINA:  My days of preparing meals are over.  Sorry not sorry.
JAKE:  I mean.  I have a daughter in a coma and…
PAULINA:  And Vicky’s moving on?

PAULINA SITS NEXT TO JAKE.

JAKE:  Yeah.  Yeah I guess it bothered me more than I thought it would.  I’m not in love with Vicky I just…it’s weird seeing her with someone else after all this time.
PAULINA:  I understand Jake.  I completely understand.

PAULINA HUGS HIM.  AS THEY RELEASE FROM THEIR EMBRACE, THEY LOOK INTO EACH OTHER’S EYES AND KISS.

BACK AT THE HOSPITAL, BRADLEY IS WITH VICKY IN THE WAITING AREA…

BRADLEY:  I’m sorry you’re going through this but…you’re not alone.
VICKY:  I really appreciate it.  You’re really really sweet.  I see why your wife fell in love with you.
BRADLEY:  Yeah.
VICKY:  I have to tell you that…I’m not getting the wrong idea about this.  I know you’re still in love with your wife.
BRADLEY:  And you just came out of a divorce.
VICKY:  Right, but I really cherish our friendship.
BRADLEY:  Me, too.
VICKY:  You know you…have you made any progress in finding your woman?
BRADLEY:  No but…I know she’s here.
VICKY:  What’s her name?

RUSS WALKS UP TO THEM AND VICKY TURNS HER ATTENTION TO HIM.

ELIZABETH HANGS UP AS THOMASINA WALKS UP TO HER.
Dr. Thomasina Mason

THOMASINA:  You brought Devin Hutchins in?
ELIZABETH:  Yes.  How’s my brother?
THOMASINA:  He was beaten pretty badly.  We did some xrays but they were all negative.
ELIZABETH:  So nothing’s broken.
THOMASINA:  He was very lucky.  He’s got a couple of bruises but he’ll be fine.  We’ll keep him overnight for observation.
ELIZABETH:  Good.
THOMASINA: I called Felicia so she’s on her way.  He’s awake if you wanna see him.
ELIZABETH:  Yeah I will.  Thank you Dr. Mason.

IN DEVIN’S ROOM, ELIZABETH WALKS UP TO HIM.

ELIZABETH:  I see why you didn’t answer my texts.
DEVIN:  You texted?
ELIZABETH:  Never mind.  How you feelin?
DEVIN:  Like I’ve been punched and kicked.
ELIZABETH:  You were.  My mom told me to invite you to dinner.  When you didn’t answer my texts I figured you were busy at the club.  I guess you’re gonna delay the opening.
DEVIN:  Are you serious?  There’s no way I’m delaying it.  Club Freedom is gonna open on schedule.
ELIZABETH:  Wow you’ve come a long way since you came here.  Dad would certainly be proud.
DEVIN:  Yeah.  Ow.

DEVIN TRIES TO STRAIGHTEN HIMSELF UP.

ELIZABETH:  Do you have any idea who did this?

FELICIA WALKS IN.

FELICIA:  That’s what I’d like to know.   Hi Lizzie.
ELIZABETH:  Hi Felicia.
FELICIA:  Would you mind if I had a moment alone with your brother?
ELIZABETH:  Sure.

ELIZABETH LEAVES AND FELICIA WALKS UP TO DEVIN.

FELICIA:  What happened to you?
DEVIN:  It’s not that serious.
FELICIA:  You got scratches and bruises on your face.  Were you beaten?
DEVIN:  Yes I was.  In my club.
FELICIA:  Oh my God.

FELICIA GETS UP AND WALKS SLOWLY TOWARD THE DOOR.
Felicia Gallant Blake

FELICIA:  It’s one thing to come after me, but she’s crossed the line coming after a member of my family.
DEVIN:  What are you talking about?

FELICIA TURNS AROUND AND FACES DEVIN.

PART I
Iris Spaulding

IRIS and DANA are in IRIS’S suite.

DANA:  I’m sure you can’t forget that.
IRIS:  That’s not the only fact involving Bryant.  He stands to inherit Mac’s entire fortune including Cory Productions.
DANA:  Well it’s not Cory Productions anymore.
IRIS:  Oh yeah that’s right it’s…BayCorP.
DANA:  Everybody knows you were kicked out of the company.
IRIS:  You don’t have to remind me of that.
DANA:  I mean doesn’t it make you mad?  Don’t you wanna make them pay for what they did to you?
IRIS:  Why do you care?
DANA:  Because they’re stealing from my son.
IRIS:  I know, and he deserves his seat at that table.  I’m surprised you’re not going to contest it in court.
DANA:  That’s Bryant’s decision to make.
IRIS:  So what’s he doing?   Biding his time until he strikes?
DANA:  He hasn’t communicated this with me.
IRIS:  So then what are you doing here?  Oh I get it.  You think that I want to team up with Bryant to destroy that company.
DANA:  Your words not mine.
IRIS:  My words…your thoughts.
DANA:  Listen I don’t want Bryant involved in your war against the Corys.
IRIS:  What did you say just a few minutes ago?  Something about…Bryant’s decision?
DANA:  I’m well aware of what my son’s choices are.  He’s young and he doesn’t need to be in the middle of this.

VIVIEN walks toward DANA and IRIS but stops, hides and listens.
Vivien Gorrow

IRIS:  Isn’t that sweet?  You’re being the protective mother.  Bryant is Mac’s grandson and his rightful heir.  If only he knew the fortune he stood to inherit he would probably…oh my God.   You haven’t even told him.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CORYS, RACHEL is in the living room when MATT walks in.  RACHEL is looking on her computer.

Rachel Cory Hutchins

Matt Cory

MATT:  I combed through the hundreds of resumes we got.
RACHEL:  Anything stick out to you?
MATT:  Actually one did.  I printed it out.
RACHEL:  Only one?
MATT:  Unfortunately.
RACHEL:  We’ll need a larger pool of candidates for the position.
MATT:  I think you need to take a look at this one.

MATT gives RACHEL the paper and RACHEL skims it over.

RACHEL:  Wow this is…quite impressive.
MATT:  Everything we’re looking for.
RACHEL:  I don’t see a whole lot of experience.
MATT:  Not many new college graduate have that mom.  I can teach him what he needs to know.
RACHEL:  I’m gonna trust your word on this Matthew.  Why don’t you call him in for an interview?

BRYANT:  Frankie’s your mom.
CHARLIE:  Right again.
BRYANT:  I’m…I’m sorry to bother you.
CHARLIE:  No not at all I’m just in a bit of a hurry.  My husband’s waiting for me.
BRYANT:  Oh okay I won’t keep you.  It’s just that…your mom is wonderful.  She helped raise me.
CHARLIE:  Hmmm she did.
BRYANT:  Yeah.
CHARLIE:  Well uh we’re gonna have to table this conversation.
BRYANT:  Okay good.
CHARLIE:  I…
BRYANT:  Your husband.
CHARLIE:  Right, Bryant.  I’ll see you around.
BRYANT:  Okay.

CHARLIE LEAVES AS BRYANT WATCHES.  HE GETS A PHONE CALL.

BRYANT:  Hello?  This is he.  Rachel Hutchins?  Uh yeah I’d love to come in.  Tomorrow’s perfect.  Thanks.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT TOPS, CASS AND FRANKIE ARE SITTING AT A TABLE.  FRANKIE’S BACK IS TO THE ELEVATOR.
Cass Winthrop

Frankie Frame

FRANKIE:  Soooo you brought me all the way up here.
CASS:  Why can’t I take you out to dinner?
FRANKIE:  I didn’t say that.  I just…you called me to meet at your office and now we’re here.

THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN AND BRADLEY O’ NEILL WALKS TO THE COUNTER AS A PERSON GREETS HIM.
Bradley O' Neill

BRADLEY:  Take out?  O’Neill.
PERSON:  Okay I’ll be right back.

HE LOOKS OUT ONTO THE FLOOR AND SEES THE BACK OF FRANKIE AND CASS.

CASS:  We’re gonna be married again.
FRANKIE:  Yeah but we haven’t set a date yet.
CASS:  Yes we have.
FRANKIE:  We did, as in you and I?  This is the first I’m hearing of this.
CASS:  Right before Charlie came to the office I made three phone calls.
FRANKIE (smiling):  Go on.
CASS:  I took care of everything.  The minister and the church.
FRANKIE:  Really counselor?
CASS:  Yes.  Turns out there’s an opening in two weeks.
FRANKIE:  So are you trying to tell me that you set a date?
CASS:  Yes the invitations are being made even as we speak.  That was the third call.
FRANKIE:  So it’s happening.

FRANKIE FLASHES BACK TO (EPISODE 296) WHEN SHE LOOKS OVER THE FINAL DIVORCE DECREE FOR FRANCESCA O’ NEILL AND BRADLEY O’ NEILL.

FRANKIE:  Wow it’s…it’s really over.  Now we can get married.

She places the papers back in the envelope, puts the envelope in her purse, and leaves.

SHE FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT.

FRANKIE:  Everything seems to be falling perfectly into place.
CASS:  Makes it real doesn’t it?  We’re gonna be married again.
FRANKIE:  Thank you.
CASS:  You’re welcome.

CASS LEANS IN AND KISSES FRANKIE WHILE THE PERSON BRINGS BRADLEY HIS TAKE OUT.

PERSON:  Here you go Mr. O’ Neill.

FRANKIE PULLS BACK FROM CASS AS SHE OVERHEARD THE PERSON SAY BRADLEY’S LAST NAME.  SHE LOOKS BACK AND SEES NOBODY.

CASS:  Hey what’s wrong?

FRANKIE LOOKS BACK AT CASS.

PART 2

DANA:  I wanna protect Bryant.
IRIS:  I’m a mother, so I get it, but keeping the truth from him is not going to protect him.  In fact it’s gonna have the opposite effect.
DANA:  Don’t act like you’re so concerned about my son.
IRIS:  He’s Mac’s grandson so that makes him family.
DANA:  Family?  You don’t have any loyalty to your family.  You want to destroy them.
IRIS:  You’ve got me all wrong.  I don’t want anyone to get hurt.  I just want what’s rightfully mine.
DANA:  What more do you want?  You’re Brandon Spaulding’s daughter.
IRIS:  Brandon was my biological father, but Mac adopted me, raised me, and loved me as his own.  That company is every bit mine as it is theirs.
DANA:  That’s all well and good, but don’t put my son in the middle of it.

DANA LEAVES AND IRIS TURNS TO HER LEFT.

IRIS:  Whoa!  Vivien how long have you been standing there?
VIVIEN:  I just…wanted to find out where the blankets were.
IRIS:  Yeah sure.  How much of that conversation did you hear?
VIVIEN:  About Mac Cory’s grandson?  Not much.
IRIS:  So then you heard everything?
VIVIEN:  Look I promise you I won’t tell anybody.  I don’t even know anybody in this town.
IRIS:  Good.  The linen closet is near the bathroom.

IRIS GETS ANOTHER PHONE CALL ON HER CELL PHONE.

IRIS:  Is my suite becoming Grand Central Station?   Send them up.

SHE SITS DOWN ON THE COUCH AND CROSSES HER LEGS AS THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN.

IRIS:  I’ve been expecting you.  We have some things to discuss.

IT’S BRYANT, WHO WALKS IN AS VIVIEN WATCHES.

BRYANT:  This shouldn’t take that long.
IRIS:  Oh?
BRYANT:  I just wanted to share the good news with you.
IRIS:  You’ve taken over BayCorP.
BRYANT:  Not yet, but I got an interview with Rachel.
IRIS:  That’s a good start.
BRYANT:  Guess the train has left the station.
IRIS:  That company belongs to you.  It’s time you take it.
BRYANT:  I’m not gonna do the raptor thing and swoop down on my prey.  I’m gonna work this methodically.
IRIS:  Don’t take too much time.
BRYANT:  Wait a second.  I think you need to remember.  The deal doesn’t happen without me, so I will do this is in my time, not yours.

BRYANT WALKS TO THE ELEVATOR AND TURNS AROUND.

BRYANT:  I’ll be in touch.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THE CENTER, BRADLEY IS ON HIS CELL PHONE WITH LILA.
Lila Roberts

BRADLEY:  We may need to go plan B.
LILA:  You wanted to pull out of our original plan a while ago.
BRADLEY:  Well things have changed, and the stakes are higher.
LILA:  Well what do you mean?
BRADLEY:  I saw them at Tops tonight.
LILA:  What were they doin?
BRADLEY:  I dunno maybe they were having dinner or something but they’ve set a date.
LILA:  They what?
BRADLEY:  Cass and Frankie are definitely getting married.  You may need to come here.
LILA:  You’re right.  I’ll be damned if I let Cass marry that woman.  We gotta stop that weddin’.

PART 1

IN HER SUITE, IRIS is applying her make up in the living room as she gets a call on her cell phone.
Iris Spaulding

IRIS:  Iris Spaulding.  A young lady wants to see me.  I’m gonna need more information than that.  Did you get a name?  Of course not.  You get paid very well to screen our visitors.  I don’t care if she blew past you.  You’re supposed to do your job!   I’ll be putting a call in to your supervisor!

IRIS presses end call and her elevator doors open.  A young WOMAN walks in.
Young Woman
WOMAN:  Hi oh my God I’ve finally gotten in touch with you.
IRIS:  Who the hell are you?
WOMAN:  Oh I’m…soooo sorry.  I didn’t tell the concierge my name.  I kinda wanted it to be a surprise.
IRIS:  If you don’t get out of my suite I will call the police and have you arrested for trespassing.
WOMAN:  Everything my mom said about you is true.  This is a pretty nice place.
IRIS:  Okay that’s it.

IRIS starts to dial 9-1-1 and the WOMAN runs over and gently places her hand on Iris’s phone.  Iris steps back.

IRIS:  What do you think you’re doing?  What do you want from me?
WOMAN:  I’m…I…I didn’t mean to scare you.  My mother worked for you.
IRIS:  Well I used to run Cory Productions and I was on the hospital board.  That could mean a lot of people.
WOMAN:  She didn’t work at any of those places.  You see before my mom died she wanted me to find you and…tell you how grateful she was to work for you.
IRIS:  If your mother didn’t work at Cory, and she didn’t work at the hospital, then how did she work for me?  Wait a minute.  Are you talking about…?
WOMAN:  Vivien Gorrow.
IRIS:  Vivien?  She never mentioned having a daughter.
WOMAN:  I was born after she left Bay City.  She has fond memories of working for you.  She told me so many stories about you before she passed away.
IRIS:  Who are you?
WOMAN:  Vivien.
IRIS:  No that was your mother’s name.
WOMAN:  It’s also my name.  I’m Vivien Gorrow, Jr.
IRIS:  So say I believe you.  Why are you here?
VIVIEN:  My mom said that I could come to you if I needed anything.
IRIS:  And what is that?
VIVIEN:  A job.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT CASS'S OFFICE, CASS is sitting at his desk on his office phone as CHARLIE walks in.
Cass Winthrop
CASS:  That was quick.  Are you sure we’ll be able to have it that day?...Great.  Thank you.

CASS hangs up, gets up and greets CHARLIE.
Charlie Winthrop Harrison
CASS:  Hey beautiful.

They hug.

CHARLIE (pulling out the chair across from Cass):  Hey dad.
CASS:  What’s up?
CHARLIE:  Oh I…just came to see you.
CASS:  Uh oh.  What’s wrong?
CHARLIE:  Oh no.  Nothing’s wrong.  In fact, everything couldn’t be more right.
CASS:  I’m intrigued.  Tell your old man what’s going on.

CHARLIE smiles.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE WINTHROPS, FRANKIE walks in from the bedroom, fully dressed, and on her cell phone.
Frankie Frame

FRANKIE:  When do you think you’ll have those phone records ready?...Okay you can send them to my phone.  I owe ya one.  Thanks.

SOMEONE knocks on the door and FRANKIE goes and opens it.  She sees a young GUY.

FRANKIE:  Can I help you?
GUY:  You’re Francesca O’ Neill?
FRANKIE:  Um yes.
GUY (giving her an envelope):  This is for you.

The GUY leaves FRANKIE at the door.  She opens the envelope and her eyes widen as she reads the contents.

FRANKIE:  Wow it’s…it’s really over.  Now we can get married.

She places the papers back in the envelope, puts the envelope in her purse, and leaves.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE HOTEL, BRADLEY O’ NEILL is on his phone reading a text from VICKY.  It reads:  Bridget is in the hospital.  I won’t be able to make it.  Sorry.
Bradley O' Neill

BRADLEY:  Wow.

BRADLEY gets up, grabs his sport jacket, opens the door and sees BRYANT.
Bryant Kramer
BRYANT:  Hey Brad what’s up?
BRADLEY:  Bryant.  Uh what are you doing here?
BRYANT (walking in):  I’m glad I caught you.  I had to come straight over here.
BRADLEY:  Must be serious.  Is everything okay?
BRYANT:  It’s great man.  But listen I walking through that little plaza the other day.
BRADLEY:  Plaza?
BRYANT:  I think they call it Bay City Center but I saw her.  I mean I hadn’t seen her in a long time since she left.
BRADLEY:  She left?  Who are you talking about?
BRYANT:  Frankie.  I saw Frankie.
BRADLEY pauses for a moment.
BRADLEY:  You…saw Frankie?
BRYANT:  Yeah and check it out, she’s got a daughter, too.  I think they were having lunch or something.
BRADLEY:  I knew that.  You…didn’t mention me did you?
BRYANT:  Come on.  Why wouldn’t I have?
BRADLEY:  Bryant…you shouldn’t have done that.

CAMERA PAN ON BRADLEY…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

PART II

CHARLIE:  It’s been quite a day.  I don’t even know where to start.
CASS:  From the beginning?
CHARLIE:  I got good news and bad news.  Which one do you wanna start with?
CASS:  Good news first please.
CHARLIE:  Okay well.  I was having breakfast with mom and she bought me a latte, and it smelled so good.
CASS:  Fresh smelling coffee is always good news.
CHARLIE:  Well it smelled so good that I had to go puke.
CASS:  Now you’re not making any sense.  The aroma of your latte made you throw up?
CHARLIE:  So I thought it was just nausea, but I went to the hospital I had some pain in my stomach.
CASS:  That doesn’t sound like good news to me.  Are you okay?
CHARLIE:  Don’t worry dad I’m fine.
CASS:  Did you see a doctor?
CHARLIE:  Lindsay found me so she brought me to Dr. Davidson and she took a look at me.
CASS:  I bet you resisted.
CHARLIE:  How did you know?
CASS:  I’ve only known you all of your life, so what happened next?
CHARLIE:  I thought she was gonna tell me that it was just gas.
CASS:  So you’re saying you didn’t have bubble guts.
CHARLIE:  No I definitely don’t have.  I have something that’s alive and well.  In fact, it’s kicked me a few times on the way here.

CASS gets up and walks over to her.

CASS:  Are you…am I…gonna be a grandfather?

CHARLIE nods her head and smiles.

CASS:  Wow.  Oh wow.  Congratulations!   This day gets better and better.  Did you tell Kirkland?  Where is he?
CHARLIE:  He went to the hospital.  I had to come and tell you as soon as I could.
CASS:  Since we’re sharing all this cheer, I’ve got some news for you, too.  Your mom is on her way down here so I…

FRANKIE walks in.

FRANKIE:  Heyyyy sweety.

She kisses Charlie on her left cheek and then kisses Cass.

FRANKIE:  Hey babe.
CASS:  You came just in time.
FRANKIE:  Oh in time for what?
CASS:  Charlie has something to tell you.
CHARLIE:  I’m pregnant.
FRANKIE:  Oh my God.  Congratulations!

FRANKIE hugs CHARLIE.

FRANKIE:  No wonder you didn’t drink your latte.  How long have you known?
CHARLIE:  For a few hours.
FRANKIE:  Cass we’re gonna be grandparents.  That’s terrific hun.  How far along are you?
CHARLIE:  Twelve weeks.
FRANKIE:  Wow.
CASS:  We need to go celebrate.  Let’s go to the Center.
FRANKIE:  Sounds good to me.  What do you think Charlie?
CHARLIE:  I’d love to but Kirkland’s waiting for me at the hospital.
FRANKIE:  Oh is he okay?
CHARLIE:  Bridget’s there.  I guess I’ll find out why when I get there.
FRANKIE:  Okay of course go…go be with your husband.
CASS:  Wait a minute kiddo.  You said you had something else to tell me.
CHARLIE:  Oh um, that can wait.  I don’t wanna spoil the good vibes.
CASS:  Okay well, you know you can tell me anything.
CHARLIE:  I know.
FRANKIE:  We’ll…see ya later.  Love you.
CHARLIE:  Love you, too.

CHARLIE leaves CASS and FRANKIE by themselves.

FRANKIE:  I guess it’s just me and you.
CASS:  Change of plans.
FRANKIE:  Oh?
CASS:  We’re goin’ to Tops.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IRIS:  She named you after her?  How do I know you’re telling the truth?

VIVIEN, JR. digs around in her purse and takes out a somewhat crumpled piece of paper.

VIVIEN:  I knew you would need proof so…here.
She gives it to Iris who looks it over.
IRIS:  A DNA test.  How long have you had this?
VIVIEN:  Since my mom passed away.  I knew someday I’d look for you.
IRIS:  DNA tests can be doctored.  How do I know this is real?
VIVIEN:  But wait…there’s more.

VIVIEN digs in her purse and pulls out another crumpled piece of paper.

IRIS:  Birth certificate?

VIVIEN starts digging in her purse again.

VIVIEN:  I’ve got more proof.  I’ve got a picture of my mom holding me.  I got a picture of the nurse holding me.  I’ve got a…
IRIS:  Let me…see the picture.

VIVIEN gives IRIS the photo of Vivien.  She looks at the picture intently.

IRIS:  That…definitely is Vivien.
VIVIEN:  I’ve got more….
IRIS:  You don’t…need to give me anything else.  I believe you.
VIVIEN:  You…believe me?
IRIS:  That is what I just said right?
VIVIEN:  So you’ll…let me work for you…like my mom did?
IRIS:  I’m looking to hire anyone.
VIVIEN:  Oh okay well.  I’m very glad I found you.
IRIS:  Where are you staying tonight?
VIVIEN:  I’m going to the bus station to go back home.
IRIS:  I have a…guest bedroom you can sleep in.  You must be exhausted from the ride.  You can stay here.  Tonight only.
VIVIEN:  Oh.  Oh Miss Spaulding thank you so much.
VIVIEN hugs her as IRIS tries to pull away.
IRIS:  Don’t push your luck.
VIVIEN:  Oh I’m sorry.  I’ll…go to my room.

VIVIEN takes her things and goes to the guest room as IRIS gets another call on her cell phone.

IRIS:  If it isn’t the incompetent concierge.  Oh you got a name this time.  Send her up.
IRIS turns her back to the elevator as the doors open.
IRIS:  I was wondering when you were coming to see me.

IRIS turns around and sees DANA KRAMER walk in.
Dana Kramer

DANA:  It’s time we had a talk…about Bryant.
IRIS:  That’s right.  Bryant Kramer, your son…Mac’s grandson.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRYANT:  What do you mean?  I thought you would want to see her.
BRADLEY:  She left to come here and be with Cass, and as far I know they’re still together.  I don’t wanna cause her any pain.
BRYANT:  Oh come on Brad.  You mean to tell me you came all the way to Bay City to not cause Frankie any heartache?
BRADLEY:  Yeah besides I…may have met someone else.
BRYANT:  Um Brad you’re talking to me here.  You and Frankie raised me.
BRADLEY:  Frankie had no memory of who she was.
BRYANT:  And you two were perfectly happy and in love before she remembered her life in Bay City.
BRADLEY:  I had to let her go.
BRYANT:  You’re not fooling me.  You haven’t let her go at all, and after my talk with her, I don’t think she’s let you go either.
BRADLEY:  Now you’re reaching.
BRYANT:  Am I?  You two spent over ten years together.  A love like that just doesn’t disappear.  I think she might still have feelings for you.
BRADLEY:  I am not going to cause any conflict for her.  That’s the last thing I wanna do.
BRYANT:  Look man, you love Frankie.  You didn’t come all this way for nothing.  You came to get her back.  Somebody’s gonna have to lose.  Why should it be you?  I’ll see ya later.

BRYANT leaves and Bradley makes a phone call on his cell phone.

BRADLEY:  Hey.  Look I can’t go through with this alright.

The WOMAN on the other end has long dark hair and she responds via speaker.

WOMAN:  Oh no you’re not Bradley O’ Neill.  We done came too far for you to pull out now.  Look you better fight for her, cuz she sure ain’t right for him.  If that don’t work, we gon’ have to go to plan B.  I’ll call you later.

The WOMAN who presses end call and puts the phone back in her purse is LILA ROBERTS.
Lila Roberts

LILA:  Cuz I’m gon save you Cass from lyin' Frankie.
