PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
• Joy’s mother, Lily Mason, showed up and told Joy and Thomasina that she was dying.  Lily asked for Joy’s forgiveness and Joy ran out.
• Rafael took Maggie from Wood Pines as she was in danger.  He placed her in a safe room, but Brianna found Maggie and kidnapped her again.  Maggie had a memory flash and realized Brianna kidnapped her the night of Carl Hutchins’ party at the Corys.  Brianna locked Maggie in the hospital freezer.
• John and Sharlene discovered that Brianna was impersonating her mother, Dr. Taylor Benson, so she could get access to Maggie, who was detoxing at Wood Pines.  John and Sharlene do not know that Brianna is Taylor’s daughter, but they suspect that there is a connection between Brianna and Taylor.

AT THE CENTER, ALLEN is walking slowly while talking on his cell phone.
Allen Love

ALLEN:  Yes I had a great time.  It was good to get away.  My first time being in Switzerland.  Good to see you doing well.  I wish you would come back to the states…I get it...too many painful memories with Cass.

ALLEN continues walking and turns his back to a table that JOY is sitting at.
Joy Kramer

ALLEN:  But you would have me, Aunt Donna, Vicky…Alright I understand Love you, too mom.

ALLEN presses end call. He turns around to keep walking and sees JOY, who is sitting at a table.

ALLEN: Hey wait.  You’re Steven’s girlfriend aren’t you?

JOY wipes tears from her eyes.

JOY:  Yeah um…yeah.
ALLEN:  Are you okay?
JOY:  Well, my mother came back into my life asking me to forgive her for leaving me on my cousin’s doorstep so she can run the streets—
ALLEN:  Wow.
JOY:  Oh it gets better.  She has cancer.  Outside of that, I’m just fine.
ALLEN:  I’m…I’m really sorry.
JOY:  No It’s not your fault.  I’m the one who should be sorry.
ALLEN:  No you didn’t do anything.
JOY:  I’m sorry for dumping all of this on you.  It’s just…a lot to deal with you know?
ALLEN:  Yeah…I know, but I also know that your relationship with your mom is precious.  I didn’t have my mother for years either.
JOY:  Did she dump you on a relative?
ALLEN:  No.  It was a relative who kept us apart.
JOY:  I’m so…I’m so rude.  I’m Joy Kramer.
ALLEN:  Allen Love.
JOY:  Love?  You wouldn’t happen to be related to Steven’s mother would you?
ALLEN:  Vicky?  She’s my cousin.

KC walks up and sees them from a short distance as JOY extends her right hand, and ALLEN extends his as they shake.
KC Burrell

JOY:  Nice meeting you.
KC walks up to them.
KC:  Dad.
ALLEN:  Hey.
KC:  When did you get back?
ALLEN:  About an hour ago.  Hey do know Joy?

KC HAS A FLASHBACK
(EPISODE 187)
BAY CITY CENTER...Joy is texting and walking very slowly.  She sends a text to Steven…
Joy (texting):  R u in the coffee shop?
Steven (texting back):  Yes.
Joy, still looking at her phone, smiles and walks slowly, still looking at her phone.  Suddenly, someone bumps into Joy, and causes her to drop her phone.  It’s K.C.  Joy picks up her phone in disgust.
Joy:  My God.  My phone’s broken.  You broke my phone!
K.C.:  I didn’t do anything.  You weren’t looking where you were going.
Joy:  Look I need to get your information because you are going to pay for me to get a new phone, since you caused it to be broken.
K.C.:  I can’t take responsibility for your clumsiness.
Joy:  Look little girl, the grown up way to settle things is that you take responsibility for what you’ve done.  You are gonna pay for me to get a new phone.
K.C.:  This full grown adult is not paying for a damn thing.  You should look where the hell you’re going.
Joy:  Oh bitch you gon’ pay for this phone.
K.C.:  You better watch who you’re calling a bitch or you’ll end up in the fountain.
Toni and Etta Mae quickly come between them.
Etta Mae:  You leave her alone lady!
Toni:  Nobody’s gonna end up anywhere.  How much is the phone?
Joy:  Five hundred dollars.
K.C.:  Oh please that’s more than what that thing is worth.
Toni:  I’ll write you a check.
They all follow Toni to a nearby table, who takes out her checkbook, writes the check, and gives it to Joy.
Joy:  I hope it doesn’t bounce.
K.C.:  Maybe you should bounce before I kick your…
Toni:  K.C.!  The check’s good.
Joy:  Um hm.
Joy walks away.
K.C.:  Ugh!  What a bitch!

KC FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT
KC LOOKS AT JOY.
KC:  We’ve met.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CORYS, BRIANNA rings the doorbell at the front and RACHEL opens the door.
Rachel Cory Hutchins

Brianna Jameson

RACHEL:  Hi.  You’re Brianna right?
BRIANNA:  You must be Rachel.
RACHEL:  I’m Matthew’s mother.
BRIANNA:  Yes of course.  He’s told me so much about you.  Is uh…he here?
RACHEL:  He’s working late.  Was he expecting you?
BRIANNA:  No I thought I’d…come by and surprise him.  I can come back another time.
BRIANNA TURNS TO LEAVE…
RACHEL:  No please come in.  I’d like to talk to you.
BRIANNA:  Oh Rachel I’d love to but I gotta get to the hospital.
RACHEL:  I won’t take too much of your time.  Please…come in.

--------------------------------------------------

AT THE POLICE STATION, FRANKIE, CASS and RAFAEL walk in and approach TONI.
Cass Winthrop

Frankie Frame

Rafael Santierro

Toni Burrell

TONI:  What can I do for you?
CASS:  We need to file a missing person’s report.
TONI:  How long has it been?
FRANKIE:  It’s Maggie.
RAFAEL:  She’s in danger.
TONI:  We’ve been looking for her.  She escaped from Wood Pines.
RAFAEL:  She…didn’t escape.
TONI:  How do you know?
RAFAEL:  Because I took her.
TONI:  So you aided and abetted an escaped patient.
FRANKIE:  Brianna Jameson was trying to kill her and she could be in danger right now!
TONI:  That’s a serious accusation Frankie.  I’ve got units out there looking and no one’s seen her.
CASS:  Well they need to find my daughter before she gets hurt!

------------------------------------------------

IN THE HOSPITAL BASEMENT, MAGGIE lies unconscious on the floor of the freezer wearing only a bra and panties.
Maggie Winthrop

------------------------------------------------

AT THE FARM, SHARLENE is in the living room on her phone with her back to the door.
Sharlene Frame Hudson

SHARLENE:  I don’t know what to do.  You weren’t here when Taylor tore our family apart with her lies.  I know in my gut that Brianna is tied to Taylor, but we just have to find out how.  Alright.  Love you.

SHARLENE presses end call, turns around and gasps at the sight of JOHN holding a gun.
John Hudson
CAMERA PAN ON SHARLENE.  SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

----------------------------------------------------------

PART 2
JOY:  Yeah…we have.  Well I’m gonna get going.  Nice meeting you Allen.
ALLEN:  Same here.
JOY:  Take care.

JOY walks away and KC turns her attention to ALLEN.

KC:  Hmm.
ALLEN:  Hmm what?
KC:  We’ve met before, and it wasn’t all that pleasant.
ALLEN:  What do you mean?
KC:  She got all huffy with me because I accidentally broke her cell phone, and she wasn’t very nice about it.  Mom paid her for it.
ALLEN:  She should be alright then.  She got her money.  So what’s going on with you?  How’s the internship?
KC:  It’s cool.  Boy those doctors can be snooty, but Dr. Mason has my back.
ALLEN:  That’s excellent.  Your grandmother sends her love.
KC:  You know I’d really like to meet her one day.
ALLEN:  She wants to meet you, too.
KC:  How’s she doing?
ALLEN:  She’s much better.  No ill effects from the chemo.  Hey I heard Bridget was in the hospital.  Do you know what happened?
KC:  I don’t know.  I’ll have to check.  I’m so out of the loop when it comes to family matters.
ALLEN:  Not that I should care but…where’s Eric?
KC:  You know what…I have no idea.  I haven’t heard anything from him.
ALLEN:  I can’t say I’m not happy about that.
KC:  I called and texted him.  No answer.
ALLEN:  Have you been by his place?
KC:  I haven’t had a chance.
ALLEN: I knew he was no good for you.
KC:  Dad---
ALLEN:  If he didn’t want to be with you, his punk ass should have told you in person.
KC:  Let’s not jump to conclusions.  Something could have happened to him.
ALLEN:  Let’s pay him a visit.

-----------------------------------------------

IN THE HOSPITAL BASEMENT, TWO WORKERS APPROACH THE BIG FREEZER.

WORKER #1:  It’s creepy coming down here.
WORKER #2:  Yep I don’t know why they let the mayonnaise run out.

WORKER #1 OPENS THE BIG DOOR and SCREAMS AS THEY SEE MAGGIE LYING ON THE FLOOR UNCONSCIOUS DRESSED ONLY IN A BRA AND PANTIES.

WORKER #2:  Oh my God.  I’ll go get help.

AT THE POLICE STATION…

TONI:  All my people are working on locating her.
CASS:  Well they need to work a little harder!
FRANKIE:  Cass we’re not getting anywhere here.  We need to go look for her.
RAFAEL:  Where do we even start?  We have no idea what happened to her.  We don’t know if she left on her own or was kidnapped.
CASS:  If something happens to my daughter I’m holding the Bay City Police Department personally responsible!
CASS gets a call on his cell phone.
CASS:  Cass Winthrop.  I’ll be right there.

CASS presses end call.

FRANKIE:  Who was that?
CASS:  We gotta go.  Maggie’s in the hospital.  She’s been badly hurt.

-------------------------------------------------

RACHEL walks into the CORY LIVING ROOM and BRIANNA follows her.

RACHEL:  Would you like some tea?
BRIANNA:  No thank you.
RACHEL:  Oh come on don’t tell me you’re nervous.
BRIANNA:  No…I mean I…I was hoping to meet you at some point but not like this.
RACHEL:  Matt’s told me about you.  He seems to really like you.
BRIANNA:  He’s so perfect.
RACHEL:  Nobody’s perfect but…I don’t quite know how else to say this but Matthew…he doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to women, and I don’t want him to get hurt.
BRIANNA:  I can appreciate that Matt has a mother like you to look after him.
RACHEL:  Matt’s a full grown adult.  I just want him to be happy.
BRIANNA:  Rachel I have every intention of making Matt happy.
RACHEL:  Good.
BRIANNA:  Well I…my shift is gonna start so I gotta get to the hospital.  I’m glad we had this talk.
RACHEL:  Thanks for listening.  Take care.
BRIANNA:  You, too.

RACHEL OBSERVES BRIANNA WALKING OUT.

-------------------------------------------

SHARLENE:  What are you doing with that?
JOHN:  I thought you wouldn’t be here when I came home with this.
SHARLENE:   No it’s just…you just startled me that’s all.  I never thought I’d see the day we’d have to bring a gun in the house.
JOHN:  I…think you know what this is for.
SHARLENE:  Do you really think we need a gun to protect us from Brianna?
JOHN:  There’s no telling what she’s capable of.  There’s no telling what she’s gonna do next.  I wanna keep this around just in case she tries to attack us again.
SHARLENE:  John I don’t…I don’t know.
JOHN:  What do you mean you don’t know?  I know I don’t want a repeat of Taylor Benson.
SHARLENE:  And you think I do?  Do you think I want to sit around and wait for Brianna to attack us again?
JOHN:  Of course not.  This is why I got this.
JOHN walks to the living room closet and opens the door.  He places the gun on the top shelf, and closes the door.
JOHN:  Now you know where it is.

HE WALKS UP TO SHARLENE and EMBRACES HER.

JOHN:  I’m not gonna let Brianna hurt you or Gregory.

-----------------------------------------

AT THE HOSPITAL, CASS, FRANKIE, and RAFAEL see RUSS at the nurses station.  THEY RUN UP TO HIM.
Dr. Russ Matthews

CASS:  Russ where’s Maggie?
RUSS:  She’s in her room.
FRANKIE:  What happened to her?
RUSS:  Two workers found her in the freezer in the basement.  It seems she was in there for a while.
RAFAEL:  She got to her.
BRIANNA walks on the scene and sees them.
CASS:  Is she gonna be alright?
RUSS:  She’s lucky they found Maggie when they did.  Another half hour or so, she may not have made it.

BRIANNA goes around the corner before anyone sees her.

BRIANNA:  Dammit!

ANOTHER WORLD 306 Bridget spurns Vicky

ANOTHER WORLD 306

In this episode:  Jake McKinnon, Vicky Hudson, Paulina Cory, Russ Matthews, Bridget McKinnon, Michele McKinnon, Donna Love, Allen Love, Thomasina Mason, Steven Frame, Joy Kramer, Lily Mason

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD

  • In her scheme to break up Cory and Bridget, Michele hacked the hospital server and switched her sister Bridget's negative test with a positive test.  Bridget suffered anaphylactic shock after taking amoxicillin.  She was prescribed the antibiotic after she was diagnosed with chlamydia.  It turned out she never had chlamydia at all.  Before Bridget collapsed in front of the Corys, Michele revealed all to Bridget.  Bridget was placed in a medically induced coma, and she has just awakened.  Everyone thinks it was just a test mix up, but Jake suspects otherwise.
  • Lily Mason, a 1980s character, has come to town to make amends with her estranged daughter, Joy Kramer.  Lily left Joy with her cousin Thomasina and Thomasina's husband Carter Todd to raise

PART 1

A FEW MINUTES LATER, JAKE, VICKY, PAULINA, AND RUSS ENTER BRIDGET’S ROOM AS BRIDGET LIES IN HER BED.  BRIDGET STARTS TO OPEN HER EYES.  JAKE WALKS UP TO HER BED WITH PAULINA BEHIND HIM.
Vicky Hudson

Paulina Cory

Jake McKinnon

Bridget McKinnon

Michele McKinnon
JAKE:  Hey honey.  Welcome back.
PAULINA:  We’re right here.

BRIDGET LOOKS AT JAKE AND PAULINA AS MICHELE ENTERS THE ROOM, THEN BRIDGET FIXES HER EYES STRAIGHT AT MICHELE, AND THE TWO  MAKE EYE CONTACT.

BRIDGET:  Dad?
JAKE:  Baby.  I’m so happy you’re back with us.
PAULINA:  We all are.

MICHELE walks up to BRIDGET.

MICHELE:  I’m so happy that you’re awake.

BRIDGET just looks at MICHELE.

DONNA:  How are you feeling honey?
BRIDGET:  Like I’ve…been sleeping I guess.
JAKE:  You have been.
BRIDGET:  What happened?   How did I get here?
PAULINA:  That’s…that’s not important right now.  Let’s just celebrate that you’re awake.
RUSS:  I’m gonna arrange for some tests to be run.  Until then I will ask that she have two visitors at a time.
VICKY:  Of course.
DONNA:  We’ll give you all the time you need to get better.
BRIDGET:  I wanna…I wanna speak to mom.  In private.

JAKE looks back at VICKY, and then back at BRIDGET.

JAKE:  Sure baby.
PAULINA:  We’ll be right outside.

EVERYONE LEAVES VICKY AND BRIDGET alone.  VICKY walks slowly up to BRIDGET, and sits on a stool next to BRIDGET’S bed.

VICKY:  How are you feeling?
BRIDGET:  How did I get here?  Can you tell me what happened?  I was talking to Michele one minute, and now I’m waking up.
VICKY:   You…had an allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin.
BRIDGET:  I was taking that for chlamydia.
VICKY:  Honey there’s something I need to tell you.  After you were brought in, Dr. Matthews ran your blood.  They didn’t find any chlamydia in it.
BRIDGET:  What?  I only took the Amoxicillin once.
VICKY:  There may have been a mix up with the tests.
BRIDGET:  What are you talking about?
VICKY:  They discovered that you…that you never chlamydia at all.

MICHELE walks up to the door and looks inside through the rectangle shaped glass, then walks away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THOMASINA’S HOUSE, THOMASINA is with JOY and her mother, LILY MASON.
Thomasina Mason

Lily Mason
Joy Kramer

LILY:  Joy it’s up to you.  I wasn’t there for you like a mother should have been but…I’m not gonna justify my reasons for asking Thomasina to raise you.  I hope you will let this bitterness go and be happy.  That’s all I want for you.
THOMASINA:  She’s right Joy.
JOY:  I’m not giving you a break just because you’re sick.  If you were healthy you wouldn’t even be here, so the answer is hell no.
THOMASINA:  Oh my God Joy you don’t mean that.
JOY:  I DO mean it.  You have the audacity to come back into my life after all these years, asking me for forgiveness!
LILY:  Baby I know I did you wrong, but please, I don’t have much time left.  I hope that…I hope that you can find it in your heart to give me another chance.
JOY:  As far I’m concerned you blew it.  I got this far in life without you, and I sure don’t need you laying a guilt trip on me.
LILY:  Joy baby where you goin?
JOY:  After all of this, I think I need some air.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MEANWHILE, STEVEN is in the waiting area with DONNA.
Steven Frame

Donna Love

STEVEN:  Are you serious?
DONNA:  It’s very shocking.  I have no idea how they could get the tests mixed up like that, especially with today’s technology.
STEVEN:  It happens, but it could have cost Bridget her life.
DONNA:   That’s the thing.  They should have been more careful.
STEVEN:  I’ll have a word with Dr. Mason about that.  It’s unacceptable.  I’m just happy that she’s okay.
DONNA:  Yeah me, too.  How about you?  What’s going on in your life?  How are things with Joy?
STEVEN:  We’re good.  It’s mom that has to get on board.
DONNA:  I noticed that Victoria doesn’t like her very much.
STEVEN:  Not at all.  Mom’s gonna have to accept that I love her, and nothing she does is going to change that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IN ANOTHER PART OF THE WAITING AREA, PAULINA walks up to JAKE with two cups.

PAULINA:  Coffee?

JAKE smiles and takes a cup from PAULINA.

JAKE:  Thanks.
PAULINA:  I’m starting to wonder if I should have gotten you one.
JAKE:  Why you say that?
PAULINA:  Because you’re already jumpy.
JAKE:  No just…can’t shake this feeling.

MICHELE walks into the waiting area unseen by JAKE and PAULINA.

PAULINA:  What is it?
JAKE:  How could Bridget end up in a doctor induced coma, but never have chlamydia?  Something is off about all of this, and I’m gonna find out what it is.

CAMERA PAN ON MICHELE…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PART 2

AT THOMASINA’S HOUSE…

LILY:  I gotta go after her.
THOMASINA:  Aunt Lily maybe you should let her calm down for a bit.  This is a lot for her to process.
LILY:  I know I was wrong.  I just wanna make it right…before it’s too late.
THOMASINA:  I mean, you gotta give her some time.  You haven’t spoken to her in years.
LILY:  She has to understand why I left her with you.  God only knows what could have happened to her if I kept her with me.
THOMASINA:  Look if it’s any consolation…I think you did the right thing.  Carter and I did our best to give Joy a good home.
LILY:  I’m so grateful to you for raising my daughter.
THOMASINA:  Joy has made some mistakes in her life, but she’s a good girl.  I think she’ll come around eventually, but today ain’t the day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CENTER, ALLEN LOVE is walking and talking on his cell phone.
Allen Love

ALLEN:  That was a long ass flight from Geneva.  It’s gonna be a while before I do that again.  Yeah mom it was worth it.  I’ll tell Aunt Donna to call you…I love you, too.

ALLEN presses end call.  He walks into the Center and sees JOY, who is sitting at one of the tables.  JOY notices as he walks past.

ALLEN:  Hey you're...Steven's girlfriend right?
JOY:  That would be me.  How do you know him?
ALLEN:  I'm his cousin Allen.   I forgot your name.
JOY:  Joy Kramer.
ALLEN:  You aiight?
JOY:  Well…outside of my mother showing up after years of not speaking, and begging me to forgive her, I’m just fine.

ALLEN sits across from her.

ALLEN:  Sorry to hear that.
JOY:  Please…don’t feel sorry for me.  I was raised by good people.  How could your own mother leave you on someone’s doorstep as if you were some type of package?
ALLEN:  Did you talk to her about it?
JOY:  Oh she’s here, with all of her reasons why she couldn’t raise me, but it still hurts you know?  I realized that my mother didn’t even want me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRIDGET:  What did you say?
VICKY:  They said that you never had chlamydia.
BRIDGET:  So why didn’t you believe me?
VICKY:  What do you mean?
BRIDGET:  I told you that I didn’t cheat on Cory.  You didn’t believe me mom.
VICKY:  I can explain that.  I’m so sorry.
BRIDGET:  Why are you even having to apologize at all?  I’m your daughter.  You’re supposed to believe me.
VICKY:  You really don’t understand where I’m coming from.
BRIDGET:  All I can see…is that you hate me.
VICKY:  Oh my God.  That couldn’t be further from the truth.  Sweetheart I don’t hate you.  I just…
BRIDGET:  Just what?  What is it mom?
VICKY:  All the paternity questions.  I schemed and lied, and I just don’t want you to be like me.
BRIDGET:  What are you talking about?
VICKY:  Everything you did on prom night, I saw me in you, and I didn’t like it.
BRIDGET:  I did some horrible things back then, but I’m not like that anymore.
VICKY:  Michele doesn’t seem to think so.  Ever since she came back you both have been fighting.
BRIDGET:  And you side with her.
VICKY:  That’s not what this is about.  I want you to be better than I was.  I didn’t know who Steven’s father was, and I didn’t know who Kirkland’s father was.  Custody battles with Grant. I don’t want you to go through any of that stuff.
BRIDGET:  What are you getting at mom?
VICKY:  I…I see you heading down that path I was on and I don’t want that for you.  I want you to be happy.  I want you to tell the truth.  I want you to be a stronger woman than I was.
BRIDGET:  No mom.  All you wanted was Michele to be better than me.  You always took her side.
VICKY:  You’re both my daughters.  You have to see that I had reason.
BRIDGET:  No.  I don’t.  I can’t see why you don’t love me.  I can’t see why you didn’t believe me.  And it turns out I never even had a STI.
VICKY:  Please try to understand where I’m coming from.
BRIDGET:  You say you don’t want me to be like you, well, I agree.  When I have children, I’m going to stand by them.  I’m going to believe them over others.  I’m always going to think the best of them.  That’s the opposite of how you treat me…your own daughter.  I’m going to be nothing like you.
VICKY:  I’ve made some mistakes, but can we start over?  Can we be mother and daughter?
BRIDGET:  I’m tired.
VICKY:  I love you.

BRIDGET turns over in her bed.  Her back faces Vicky and Bridget does not answer.  VICKY leaves the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PAULINA:  Jake come on.  This was all just a big mix up.  Do you really think that this was done on purpose?
JAKE:  This doesn’t make any sense.  If Bridget never had the disease, and Dr. Davidson says she tested positive…
PAULINA:  You might be on to something.  That means the tests may have been switched.
JAKE:  The question is who would do that?

MICHELE tries to leave but JAKE spots and catches up with her as Paulina follows.

JAKE:  Michele.  Where are you going?

MICHELE turns around and faces Jake and Paulina.

ANOTHER WORLD 305 Bridget wakes up

ANOTHER WORLD 305
Created by:  William J. Bell and Irna Phillips

In this episode:  Vicky Hudson, Michele McKinnon, Cory Hutchins, Elizabeth Hutchins, Steven Frame, Joy Kramer, Lily Mason, Jake McKinnon, Paulina Cory, Donna Love, Thomasina Mason, Russ Matthews

PREVIOUSLY on ANOTHER WORLD.
• Bridget was put into a medically induced coma.  She went into anaphylactic shock after taking amoxicillin that was prescribed to her for chlamydia.  It turned out that Bridget never had chlamydia at all, as Michele hacked into the hospital mainframe and switched Bridget’s negative OB results with a patient who had chlamydia.   After Bridget learned the test results (after Michele switched them), she and Cory broke up as Cory accused her of cheating on him.
• Lily Mason was a prostitute in the 80s.  She had a child after she left Bay City with Marshall Edward Kramer.  The child was Joy Kramer, who is Dana Kramer’s half sister.

AT THE HOSPITAL, VICKY walks into the chapel, walks up to the front, and sits on the bench.  She looks up.
Cynthia Watros as Vicky Hudson

VICKY:  Bridget, I can hear you now.

VICKY speaks playfully mocking Bridget Connell.

VICKY:  “Victoria.  Give yourself a break.  You are doing the best you can, but you do have to make it up to her.”  You always told me what I needed to hear, even if I didn’t want to hear it.  We named our daughter after you, and you would the same thing Donna says…how Bridget is just like me.  Stubborn, scheming, determined at times to get what she wants.   Yes, she is like me in that way, but I messed up.  She insisted that she didn’t sleep with someone else.  She really didn’t know how she was diagnosed, then we find out she never even had it.  I owe her.  I never believed her.  I should have given my daughter the benefit of the doubt.  I wish you were here to reassure me.  I feel like I’m a bad mother, but I know deep down I’m a good mother.  Jake and I raised our daughters right.  Maybe…maybe this will put an end to their fighting.  They’re gonna bring her out of her coma.  Look out for us.  I hope she and I can have a better relationship going forward, like the one I have with Michele.

VICKY’S PHONE VIBRATES.  SHE READS IT AND IT’S A TEXT FROM RUSS.  IT READS:  Bridget’s ready.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CORY MANSION, MICHELE IS WITH CORY IN THE LIVING ROOM…
Denyse Tontz as
Michele McKinnon

Drew Tyler Bell as Cory Hutchins

MICHELE:  Cory I don’t want you to beat yourself up over this.
CORY:  I have to make it up to her.  I hope she takes me back.
MICHELE:  Maybe you should slow your roll on that.
CORY looks at Michele quizzically.
CORY:  Why?
MICHELE:  I mean, she’ll need time to recover.  She’s been through a terrible time.  She collapsed right outside the front door.  When she’s better maybe…that’s a good time to revisit getting back together.
CORY:  I don’t understand.  I thought you wanted Bridget and I to be together.
MICHELE:  I’m not saying that I don’t.  I’m saying that you should just…give her time to…reconnect with her family.  We’ll be taking care of her.
CORY:  I’m just sick about this.  She must feel like I betrayed her…like she was alone.
MICHELE:  I hate to say this but we had no reason to believe that she was telling the truth.  We had no way of knowing what the doctors found out.  Nobody did, and we have to cut ourselves some slack.

ELIZABETH WALKS IN.
Kelley Missal as Elizabeth Hutchins

ELIZABETH:  She’s right.  Take comfort in knowing that she’s gonna be okay.

MICHELE gets a text from DAD.  It reads:  COME 2 HOSPITAL ASAP.  LOVE DAD

MICHELE:  My God.  Dad wants me to come to the hospital.  Must be something about Bridget.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CENTER, STEVEN IS WALKING AND HIS CELL PHONE RINGS.

Mark Lawson as Steven Frame

Denise Vasi as Joy Kramer

STEVEN:  Joy?  Hey sweetheart.
-
JOY:  Just calling to see how you were doing?
-
STEVEN:  I’m doing pretty good.  Just took a little break.
-
JOY:  Any news on Bridget?
-
STEVEN:  That’s where I’m headed now.   My mom texted me.  Come join me.  I could use your support.
-
JOY:  You know I would but I’m not up for another sparring session with your mother.
-
STEVEN:  I understand.  I’ll call you with any other news.
-
JOY:  Love you.
-
STEVEN:  Love, you too.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THOMASINA’S HOUSE, JOY PRESSES END CALL WHEN SOMEONE RINGS THE DOORBELL.  JOY ANSWERS THE DOOR.

JOY:  Mom?

“MOM” is LILY MASON.
Jackee Harry as Lily Mason

LILY:  Don’t just leave me standing out here.  Ain’t you gonna invite me in?

LILY WALKS IN.

JOY:  Do what you just did?  Invite yourself in.
LILY:  I’ve been trying to get in touch with you.
JOY:  And I have nothing to say to you.
LILY:  Well good because you can listen, because I got a whole lot to tell you.
JOY:  An apology would be a good starting point.
LILY:  Girl are you still bitter about what happened?
JOY:  All you did was leave me on cousin Thomasina and Carter Todd’s doorstep so you could run the streets so forgive me if I’m a little salty about that.
LILY:  When are you gonna forgive me?  I did what was best for you.
JOY:  Well your best wasn’t good enough was it?  You chose to be a whore instead of taking care of your own daughter!

LILY SLAPS JOY ACROSS HER LEFT CHEEK.

LILY:  Don’t you ever speak to me like that again!  No matter what you think I did to you, I’m still your mother, so I suggest you stay in your lane young lady because you have no idea what happened.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE HOSPITAL, JAKE AND PAULINA ARE IN THE WAITING AREA.

Tom Eplin as Jake McKinnon
Judi Evans as Paulina Cory

JAKE:  So Bridget’s gonna wake up.
PAULINA:  That’s great news.
JAKE:  So why don’t I feel as elated as I should be.
PAULINA:  Because none of this should have happened in the first place.  Her tests got mixed up with someone else’s.
JAKE:  Right, but was it really just a mistake by the hospital?  Or did someone cause it?
PAULINA:  Jake maybe you should let it go, for Bridget’s sake.  She’s gonna need you.  She’s gonna need all of us to be positive.
JAKE:  Thank you.  You’re the voice of reason sometimes.
PAULINA:  All the time.

THEY HUG WHEN VICKY ARRIVES.  VICKY OBSERVES JAKE AND PAULINA’S HUG.  DONNA WALKS UP TO VICKY FROM BEHIND AS SHE ALSO SEES WHAT VICKY SEES.
Anna Stuart as Donna Love

DONNA:  Victoria any…oh.

CAMERA PAN ON VICKY AND DONNA…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

PART 2

JOY:  You don’t get to come in here after all these years and tell me to listen to you.  I made my own way.
LILY:  And you have turned out to be…a lovely, beautiful young woman.

LILY’S EYES WELL UP.

JOY:  Oh spare me the crocodile tears.
LILY:  I didn’t want you runnin’ the streets with me.  That is no kind of life for a baby.

THOMASINA COMES IN.
Amelia Marshall as Thomasina Mason

THOMASINA:  Aunt Lily.  What are you doing here?  I see things have gotten off to an auspicious start between you two.
LILY:  Please tell Joy that I did what was best for her.
THOMASINA:  I…I don’t know what you want me to say.
LILY:  Tell her I made this arrangement with you when I found out I was pregnant.

THOMASINA PUTS HER PURSE AND BAG DOWN ON THE COUCH, SIGHS, AND WALKS UP TO JOY.

THOMASINA:  She did.  Carter was doing really well and I was going to medical school, so it was the perfect situation.
LILY:  I got pregnant by a young man named Marshall Edward Kramer III.   He was an up and coming author.  We carried on for a while, and I loved him, but he had to pursue his career.

JOY FOLDS HER ARMS AND FACES LILY.

JOY:  And you had to pursue yours.
LILY:  You were conceived in love.
JOY:  So why didn’t you leave me with my father?   I could have gotten to know my sister a lot sooner.
LILY:  I’m sorry baby but they didn’t want you, and I wasn’t about to be no single mother.
THOMASINA:  So she asked Carter and me to take care of you.  Besides, Junior always wanted a little sister, and Carter and I hadn’t had Serena yet so, it was perfect.

JOY’S EYES WELL UP.

JOY:  So you didn’t want me?
LILY:  That wasn’t the case at all baby.  Being a madam was all I knew.  These men didn’t care about no baby.  They could have hurt you badly.  Leaving you with Thomasina was the best thing I could have done for you, and you turned out fine right?
THOMASINA:  She did, but I’m curious.  Why did you wait until now to tell this to Joy?
LILY:  Because it’s the right time now…time to ask for your forgiveness.
JOY:  Answer Thomasina’s question.  Why now?
LILY:  Because I have cancer.  I’ve been given less than six months to live.
THOMASINA:  Oh my God.
JOY:  So you wanna go around and make amends for the people you’ve wronged.  You wanna die in peace is that it?
LILY:  Joy it’s up to you.  I wasn’t there for you like a mother should have been but…I’m not gonna justify my reasons for asking Thomasina to raise you but…I hope you will let this bitterness go and be happy.  That’s all I want for you.
THOMASINA:  She’s right Joy.  So do you forgive her?
JOY:  I’m not giving you a break just because you’re sick.  If you were healthy you wouldn’t even be here, so the answer is hell no.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CORY:  I wanna go see her.
ELIZABETH:  For what it’s worth I think Michele’s right.  Maybe it’s best you stay here.   Her grandma Donna doesn’t want you anywhere near Bridget.   I’m sure she’ll call as soon as she has some news.
CORY:  Well when is that gonna be?
ELIZABETH:  You’ve gotta be patient.  You’re gonna drive yourself crazy by sitting here wondering about it.
CORY:  I was so wrong Lizzie.  Bridget was telling me the truth the whole time, and I didn’t believe her.  It was almost like I was…waiting for the other shoe to drop you know?
ELIZABETH:  You had no possible way of knowing that---
CORY:  Come on Lizzie I don’t wanna hear that anymore!  I love Bridget, and I was supposed to believe in her.
ELIZABETH:  Look, given what’s happened in the past, you have to admit that Bridget’s character does come into question.
CORY:  She’s not that girl in high school anymore.  We took care of each other when we thought Michele was dead.  She changed.  Then Michele came back and all they’ve done was fight since then.  I hope this will end the feud between them.  Everything will be back the way it was.
ELIZABETH:  By that you mean…you and Bridget patching things up.  So what if, say, Bridget doesn’t take you back?  What if she decides that your lack of trust is too much of a mountain to climb?  Did you ever think about that?
CORY:  No I don’t.  That’s negative.  I’m choosing to focus positively about this.  Bridget and I will get back together.

JAKE AND PAULINA PULL OFF AND NOTICE VICKY AND DONNA.

PAULINA:  Hey.
VICKY:  I got a text from Dr. Matthews.
JAKE:  So did I.
DONNA:  So I guess they’re ready to bring Bridget back.  This is absolutely wonderful news.  Maybe this is a new beginning for us.  We can start being a family again.  As a matter of fact, I’m going to go make some calls.  I’m going to throw a celebration.

STEVEN walks in and VICKY WALKS UP TO HIM.

VICKY:  Hi sweetheart.
STEVEN:  Hey there’s news about Bridget?

RUSS MATTHEWS WALKS IN.
Jim Storm as Russ Matthews

RUSS:  Yes.  Bridget should be waking up any minute now.
JAKE:  Can we see her?
RUSS:  Sure, but keep it light.  We don’t want to stress her out.

A FEW MINUTES LATER, JAKE, VICKY, PAULINA, STEVEN, AND RUSS ENTER BRIDGET’S ROOM AS BRIDGET LIES IN HER BED.  BRIDGET STARTS TO OPEN HER EYES.  JAKE WALKS UP TO HER BED WITH PAULINA BEHIND HIM.

Characters in this episode:  Jake McKinnon, Paulina Cory, Michele McKinnon, Elizabeth Hutchins, Lila Roberts, Bradley O' Neill, Vicky Hudson, Frankie Frame, Cass Winthrop, John Hudson, Sharlene Hudson, Rafael Santierro, Brianna Jameson, Maggie Winthrop

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
  • Michele hacked into the hospital mainframe and switched tests to make it look like Bridget had chlamydia.  Bridget took an antibiotic, and she went into anaphylactic shock.  Bridget is now in a medically induced coma.
  • Lila returned to Bay City and is in cahoots with Bradley O' Neill.  Bradley was married to Frankie (Frankie lost her memory after an accident) after she thought she was Francesca.  When Frankie recovered her memories,  Bradley let her go and she returned to Bay City.  Frankie was able to get a divorce from Bradley, but she has not told Cass that she was married while she was away.  Bradley wants Frankie back, but he has struck up a friendship with Vicky.
  • Brianna Jameson, who is Taylor Benson's daughter, Ellen, promised to fulfill her mother's dying wish, which was to "finish" Sharlene Hudson.  Christy Carson knew Brianna's true identity and blackmailed her.  Brianna kidnapped Maggie on the night of Carl Hutchins party at the Corys for Christy so Christy could get a sperm sample from Cass to get pregnant.  Brianna kept Maggie sedated mostly during the kidnapping except for one quick moment.  Maggie recently recalled this moment and figured out that Brianna kidnapped her.

AT THE HOSPITAL, JAKE CONFRONTS MICHELE, WHO IS OUTSIDE THE WAITING AREA WITH ELIZABETH.
Jake McKinnon

Elizabeth Hutchins

Michele McKinnon

MICHELE:  Dad.
JAKE:  Hey Michele.  Elizabeth.
ELIZABETH:  Hi.  I..um…I’m gonna head home.  I promised my mom I’d spend some time with her.
MICHELE:  Text me.

ELIZABETH WALKS AWAY AS PAULINA JOINS JAKE.

Paulina Cory

PAULINA:  Michele hi.
MICHELE:  Hi Paulina.
JAKE:  Did you hear the news?
MICHELE:  No I didn’t I just got here.
JAKE:  Dr. Matthews told us that they’re gonna bring Bridget out of her coma.
MICHELE:  That’s…that’s wonderful news.
JAKE:  It is.
MICHELE:  Did he say anything about what caused her to collapse?
PAULINA:  They said it was the antibiotic.
JAKE:  But she never had chlamydia.
MICHELE:  Wow really.  Was it a mix up or something?
JAKE:  I dunno.
MICHELE:  So when did they say they’re gonna…bring Bridget back?
JAKE:  Sometime later.
MICHELE:  That’s great.  I should go tell Cory.  I’m sure he’ll be thrilled.  Where’s mom and grandma?  I’m gonna go to the Corys.  This is great news.

MICHELE LEAVES AND JAKE LOOKS ON.

PAULINA:  She seems happy that Bridget’s gonna be okay.
JAKE:  They’ve been feuding but I don’t think she ever wanted Bridget to get hurt.
PAULINA:  Of course she wouldn’t.
JAKE:  So why do I feel something’s off about this?
PAULINA:  What are you thinking?
JAKE:  Bridget’s going around thinking that she has S.T.I. but she never really had it.
PAULINA:  Probably just a mix up with the tests.
JAKE:  It’s just not sitting right with me Paulina.  I’m gonna find out what’s going on.

BACK IN THE WAITING AREA, VICKY IS THERE WHEN DONNA WALKS IN.
Vicky Hudson

Donna Love

DONNA:  I should have gotten a cloth to wipe the egg off of your face Victoria.
VICKY:  Here it comes.
DONNA:   Bridget tried to tell us that she did not sleep with anyone, and you’re the only one who didn’t believe her.
VICKY:  You’re acting as though I didn’t have reason not to!
DONNA:  She’s your daughter, and that should have been enough of an incentive.  Instead you tried to make it like it was her fault.
VICKY:  I feel badly enough.  I don’t need to explain this to you.
DONNA:  Maybe not, but you will to Bridget.  What will you do to make this right with her?
VICKY:  You sure know how to spoil good news Donna.
DONNA:  Make it up to Bridget and we can start putting this family back together.
VICKY walks to the door.
DONNA:  Where are you going?
VICKY:  I’ll go see the only person who seems to be supporting me these days.
DONNA:  Are you talking about that Bradley guy?
VICKY:  Well that Bradley guy has been a very good friend to me.

IN A HOTEL ROOM, BRADLEY O’ NEILL is sitting at the desk as he has a flashback.
Bradley O' Neill

EPISODE 303
BRADLEY HUGS VICKY JUST AS FRANKIE is approaching the waiting area with her back turned to them.  BRADLEY notices FRANKIE from afar.

BRADLEY FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT WHEN SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.  HE GOES AND OPENS THE DOOR.  IT’S LILA.
Lila Roberts

BRADLEY:  You made it.
LILA:  Well aren’t you gonna invite me in?

LILA WALKS IN AND BRADLEY SHUTS THE DOOR.

LILA:  You look like you just saw a ghost.
BRADLEY:  Not quite, but close enough.
LILA:  Oooooh you’re talkin’ about your precious Frankie.  I wonder what the expression on her face was.
BRADLEY:  We didn’t come face to face.
LILA:  So she still doesn’t know that you’re in Bay City.
BRADLEY:  No.
LILA:  And Cass still doesn’t know that you’re still married to her.  I bet you Frankie still ain’t told him the truth yet.

OUTSIDE A ROOM, CASS, FRANKIE, JOHN and SHARLENE await to go in.

THEY OPEN THE DOOR AND SEE NOBODY.

FRANKIE:  Was Rafael lying?
CASS:  Where is she?

Brianna Jameson

Maggie Winthrop

BRIANNA IS DRIVING A CAR.

BRIANNA:  Yes Maggie you’re right.  I was the one who kidnapped you the night of Carl Hutchins party.  And now I’m doing it again.  What’s the matter?  Nothing to say?  Good.

MAGGIE IS UNCONSCIOUS, BOUND, GAGGED, AND LYING DOWN THE BACKSEAT.

CAMERA PAN ON MAGGIE…SLOW FADE OUT TO THEME SONG.

------------------------------------

PART 2

LILA AND BRADLEY ARE IN A HOTEL ROOM.

BRADLEY:  We don’t know that.
LILA:  If she told Cass that she was married I bet he wouldn’t be with her right now.  Have you filed for divorce?
BRADLEY:  No, and I don’t want to.
LILA:  I’m sorry about that.  Thank you for sticking to our plan.  Just hang in there a little while longer---

BRADLEY GETS A TEXT AND HE READS IT.

LILA:  Oh a text.
BRADLEY:  It’s my friend Vicky.
LILA:  Would it happen to be Vicky McKinnon?
BRADLEY:  Vicky Hudson.
LILA:  Oh my.  So she and Jake got a divorce?  Wow.
BRADLEY:  Their daughter’s in a coma.
LILA: One of her twins?  I remember Vicky tellin’ us she was pregnant at my wedding to Cass.  Is she going to be alright?
BRADLEY:   She’s gonna be fine.  She just had a severe allergic reaction to antibiotics.
LILA:  And she’s in a coma now?
BRADLEY:  It was doctor induced.  They’re gonna bring her out of it today.
LILA:  It seems like…Vicky’s a good distraction for you.
BRADLEY:  A distraction from what?   Or should I ask who?
LILA:  Yeah yeah I’m talkin’ about Frankie.  Their wedding is comin’ up---
BRADLEY:  I saw her at the hospital.
LILA:  You didn’t…
BRADLEY:  No I didn’t approach her.
LILA:  Did she see you?
BRADLEY:  No, but I don’t know if I can stay away from her.  I still love her.
LILA:  And I love Cass.  I wanna run to him right now and tell him that Frankie is lying to him, but we got to let this play itself out.  Well I’m gon get outta here.  I’ll be in touch.  Look, we both gon’ get what we want okay.
BRADLEY:  Right.

AT THE CORYS, ELIZABETH WALKS IN AND CORY COMES DOWNSTAIRS.

Cory Hutchins

CORY:  Hey where ya been?
ELIZABETH:  I was at the hospital.  Where’s mom?
CORY:  She had to get something at the office, but shes’ coming back soon.  Any news about Bridget?
ELIZABETH:  Yes they’re gonna bring her out of her coma.
CORY:  That’s good.
ELIZABETH:  Yeah it’s great news.

THEY BOTH WALK INTO THE LIVING ROOM.

CORY:  I’m a little surprised that you’re happy about it.
ELIZABETH:  Really?  What kind of person do you think I am?  I can’t stand Bridget but I don’t want her to be in a coma.
CORY:  I’d like to be there but I gotta get past her watchdog grandmother.
ELIZABETH:  There’s…something else I have to tell you.
CORY:  What is it?
ELIZABETH:  They found out that she never had chlamydia.
CORY:  What?
ELIZABETH:  They didn’t find a trace of it in her blood.
CORY:  Wow.  That means she was telling me the truth.  She said she didn’t know how she got it, but she never even had it in the first place.  I didn’t believe her.

SOMEONE RINGS THE DOORBELL AND ELIZABETH ANSWERS THE DOOR.

ELIZABETH:  Michele.
MICHELE:  I hope I’m not interrupting.
ELIZABETH:  No no come in.

ELIZABETH SHUTS THE DOOR AND SHE AND MICHELE WALK INTO THE LIVING ROOM.

MICHELE:  Cory.
ELIZABETH:  Hey I was just telling him about Bridget.
CORY:  Yeah she never had chlamydia.
MICHELE:  Nope she didn’t.
CORY:  How does that even happen?
MICHELE:  Guess it was a mix up.
ELIZABETH:  I’m gonna go upstairs.
ELIZABETH LEAVES CORY AND MICHELE ALONE.
CORY:  I didn’t believe her.
MICHELE:  You had no reason to believe that she was telling the truth.
CORY:  She told me she didn’t sleep with anyone else.
MICHELE:  Cory I don’t want you to beat yourself up over this.
CORY:  I have to make it up to her.  I hope she takes me back.

RAFAEL WALKS IN AND SEES CASS, FRANKIE, JOHN AND SHARLENE.

Rafael Santierro

RAFAEL:  Where’s Maggie?
FRANKIE:  That’s what we’re trying to find out.
CASS:  You said she was here.
RAFAEL:  She WAS here.  I told her to stay put.  She probably got up and…
CASS:  What do you mean?

RAFAEL SIGHS.

RAFAEL:  I hope Wood Pines didn’t get her.
SHARLENE:  What if she went looking for Brianna?
JOHN:  She shouldn’t confront her at all.
FRANKIE:  We have to find her.

AT THE HOSPITAL, BRIANNA IS DRESSED IN SCRUBS WITH A MASK ON HER MOUTH.  SHE’S PUSHING A LAUNDRY BASKET COVERED WITH A BLANKET INTO A FREEZER.   BRIANNA LIFTS THE BLANKET AND SLAPS MAGGIE, WHO IS BOUND AND GAGGED.  BRIANNA REMOVES THE GAG, and POINTS A GUN AT HER.

MAGGIE:  HELLLLLLLLLP!   HELLLLLLLP!
BRIANNA (mockingly):  Helllllllp!  Helllllp!  Somebody help us!  We’re in the freezer all the way in the hospital basement.  Nobody can hear you.
MAGGIE:  Let me out of here.
BRIANNA:  Or what?  Just what do you think you’re going to do?  Throw an icicle at me?  You’re about to turn into a real big one soon.
MAGGIE:  They’re after you.  It’s only a matter of time before you’re caught.
BRIANNA:  Well it’s too bad you’re not gonna be able to help them.

BRIANNA GOES TO THE THERMOSTAT AND TURNS IT TO MINUS 40 DEGREES, AND FACES MAGGIE WITH A GUN.

MAGGIE:  You evil bitch.
BRIANNA: Name calling isn’t going to save you.  Goodbye Maggie.   It was not nice knowing you.
MAGGIE:  Let me outta here!

BRIANNA LEAVES AND SHUTS THE STEEL DOOR, LEAVING MAGGIE IN THE FREEZER.

MAGGIE:  Let me outtttt!

FREEZE FRAME ON MAGGIE…SLOW FADE OUT.  END OF 304
