IN THIS EPISODE:  Dr. Maurice Bingham, Dana Kramer, Allen Love, Toni Burrell, Paulina Cory, Grant Harrison, Gregory Hudson, Elizabeth Hutchins, Lindsay Winthrop, Devin Hutchins

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
·         Dana Kramer and Dr. Maurice Bingham had dinner at Tops and have agreed to meet again
·         Upon Allen Love’s return from visiting his mother Nicole Love in Switzerland, he and Toni Burrell have agreed to give their relationship another try.  They were once married and conceived a daughter, KC Burrell.  It was previously believed that KC was Toni’s sister, but Etta Mae and Toni lied and kept KC from Allen.
·         Grant has been on a mission to get Paulina to marry him.  When he saw that Paulina and Jack Snyder were reconnecting (they knew each other from the past), Grant learned that Jack participated in selling Remy, and blackmailed him into breaking up with Paulina and leaving Bay City.  Paulina learned of the blackmail and wanted Jack back, but he decided to work things out with Carly Snyder, his wife.  Grant also has proof that Jack is Remy’s father.  He has not revealed this to Paulina.
·         Devin and Gregory had a heated argument about, among other things, Lindsay.  Devin caught Gregory buying opioids from a drug dealer in Devin’s nightclub.  Devin threatened to tell Lindsay in hopes that Lindsay would break up with Gregory.  Gregory retorted with blackmail, that he would call the State of Illinois and have Devin’s nightclub shut down as Gregory figured out that Devin is (reluctantly) dealing drugs through his nightclub.  Gregory ordered Devin to stay away from Lindsay as he knows Devin has feelings for Lindsay.

PART 1

Dana Kramer

AT DANA KRAMER’S OFFICE, DANA IS SITTING AT HER DESK, AND MAURICE IS SITTING ACROSS FROM HER WITH EMPTY CHINESE FOOD BOXES ON THE TABLE.  MAURICE HAS A BOX IN HIS HAND AS DOES DANA.
Maurice Bingham

MAURICE:  I figured you were hungry.
DANA:  This lo mein is delicious.  Thank you so much for ordering this.

DANA USES HER CHOPSTICKS AND EATS SOME OF HER LO MEIN.

MAURICE:  I’m impressed.
DANA:  With what?
MAURICE:  I haven’t met anyone who knows how to use chopsticks.
DANA:  Now that’s surprising.
MAURICE:  I’m a doctor but I never had interest in going to China.
DANA:  Are you serious?
MAURICE:  As a terminal illness.
DANA:  I’ve been to Beijing; the Great Wall; the Yangtze River.  You don’t know what you’re missing.
MAURICE:  Are you planning on going again?
DANA:  Not anytime soon.  Why?  You wanna visit?
MAURICE:  The little that you said about it sounded interesting.  I mean I’ve seen pictures and documentaries, but they probably don’t do it any justice.
DANA:  They really don’t.

MAURICE PUTS HIS BOX DOWN ON THE DESK.

MAURICE:  Can I tell you something?
DANA:  Go ahead.
MAURICE:  You know this is only the second time I’ve…hung out with you, but I hope you’re enjoying this as much as I am.

DANA PLACES HER BOX ON THE DESK.  THEY SMILE AT EACH OTHER.  DANA GETS UP, WALKS TO THE DOOR, AND LOCKS IT.

MAURICE:  What are you doing?
DANA:  I’m gonna let my actions tell you how much I’m enjoying this.

THEY KISS PASSIONATELY.

MAURICE:  Are you sure…about this?
DANA:  We’re not fifteen years old.
MAURICE:  Not even close.

THEY CONTINUE TO KISS.

-----------------------------------

Toni Burrell

Allen Love

AT TONI’S, TONI WALKS IN, TURNS THE LIGHT ON, AND SEES TWO LIT CANDLES ON THE TABLE.  ALLEN WALKS INTO THE LIVING ROOM WITH A CHEF’S APRON ON OVER HIS SHIRT AND JEANS.

TONI:  What have we here?
ALLEN:  I’m your chef for the evening.
TONI:  Wow.  This is great, but I just got in.  It was such a long day.  I wish I would’ve known that you were…
ALLEN:  Toni.  Shut up and let me take your coat.  Just relax…and let me serve you.

TONI SMILES.

---------------------------------------------

AT PAULINA’S, SOMEONE RINGS THE DOORBELL AND SHE ANSWERS THE DOOR.

Grant Harrison

Paulina Cory

PAULINA:  What are you doing here?

IT’S GRANT.

GRANT:  May I come in?
PAULINA:  Absolutely not!
GRANT:  I come in peace and it’s cold.

PAULINA WAVES HER HAND FOR GRANT TO COME IN.  HE DOES SO AND PAULINA SHUTS THE DOOR.

PAULINA:  You’ve got five minutes.
GRANT:  I don’t think it will take that long.
PAULINA:  Thank God.
GRANT:  I’ll get to the point.  I know I’ve been pursuing you and…
PAULINA:  You’re blackmailing Jack and you effectively ended our relationship!
GRANT:  I know.  Not exactly my proudest moment.
PAULINA:  Ha!
GRANT:  A part of me is always going to love you Paulina.
PAULINA:  It happened a long time ago.
GRANT:  I know you loved me, too.  I just thought that maybe…you would still have some of those feelings.
PAULINA:  What world do you live in?   You almost burned down my house and almost killed my son!  Did you think I would just forget about that?
GRANT:  Of course not.  I tried to make amends after your husband was killed.
PAULINA:  He was killed because he was protecting you!   Don’t you think you’ve done enough?  My life has been turned upside down because of you!  It’s getting back on track and you want to force me to marry you!
GRANT:  Not anymore!  I’m done.

------------------------------

AT CLUB FREEDOM, MUSIC BLARES AS GUESTS ARE ON THE DANCE FLOOR.  GREGORY COMES BACK TO THE VIP SECTION, BUT SEES ELIZABETH.

Elizabeth Hutchins

Gregory Hudson

GREGORY:  Elizabeth.
ELIZABETH:  Hey.
GREGORY:  Where’s Lindsay?
ELIZABETH:  She went to get you guys a drink.  I’m just keeping her seat warm.
GREGORY:  Your brother gave us free VIP seats.
ELIZABETH:  He gave YOU VIP?  Why would he do that?  You guys aren’t exactly best buds.
GREGORY:  He didn’t do it for me.  He did it for Lindsay.
ELIZABETH:  And you just came along for the ride.
GREGORY:  This place is pretty nice.
ELIZABETH:  Yep it is.
GREGORY:  And how would you know we’re not friends.
ELIZABETH:  Because I heard you guys arguing in the bathroom.  Was that about Lindsay?

MEANWHILE, LINDSAY IS AT THE BAR AS A PATRON STARTS COMPLAINING TO THE BARTENDER.

Lindsay Winthrop

PATRON:  Hey this is drink was weak!  Gimme my money back.
BARTENDER:  You drank it so no.
PATRON:  I wanna speak to the manager.
LINDSAY:  Wait wait.  I’ll go get him.

LINDSAY GOES DOWNSTAIRS TO THE OFFICE, AND FINDS DEVIN.  DEVIN TURNS AROUND AND SEES LINDSAY.

Devin Hutchins

CAMERA PAN ON LINDSAY.  SLOW FADE OUT.  FADE IN TO THEME SONG.

 ---------------------------------------

PART 2

MAURICE IS HOLDING DANA AS THEY LIE ON THE COUCH.  DANA IS RESTING HER HEAD ON MAURICE’S CHEST.

MAURICE:  Well this is a pleasant surprise.
DANA:  You didn’t expect this did you?
MAURICE:  Not at all.
DANA:  To be honest I…

MAURICE LOOKS DOWN ON HER AND SMILES.

MAURICE:  You what?
DANA:  I wanted this.  I just needed an opportunity.
MAURICE:  Oh so you wanted to rip my clothes off?
DANA:  You’re funny…and no I didn’t want to rip your clothes off.
MAURICE:  So you just wanted to take them off slowly.
DANA:  Okay okay you got me.
MAURICE:  Judging from what just happened, I’d say you enjoyed yourself.

DANA LIFTS HERSELF UP SLIGHTLY TO FACE MAURICE AND SMILES.

DANA:  Oh so you’re saying you’ve got skills?
MAURICE:  That’s not what I said.
DANA:  You’re implying it.
MAURICE:  Based on your experience, what are your thoughts?
DANA:  Come on doctor, we both know that you can’t make an accurate diagnosis based off one or two visits.
MAURICE:  Are you telling me that you need more evidence counselor?

DANA SMILES.

DANA:  I will need more to present to my court.
MAURICE:  So you’re the judge and jury?
DANA:  You’re learning fast aren’t you?

THEY SMILE, KISS AND PROCEED TO MAKE LOVE AGAIN.

--------------------------------------

ALLEN AND TONI SIT ACROSS FROM EACH OTHER AT THE DINNER TABLE BY CANDLELIGHT.

ALLEN:  Are you done with your plate Ms. Burrell?
TONI:  Yes I am.  Where did you learn to cook?
ALLEN:  I didn’t, but Tops makes great food though.

THEY BOTH LAUGH.

TONI:  Since when did you become such a comedian?
ALLEN:  I’ve learned some things since we split up last time.
TONI:  And in all that time, you still didn’t learn how to cook.
ALLEN:  Come on.  I can boil water.
TONI:  That’s good because I distinctly remember you letting the pot burn when we were together before.
ALLEN:  And you tried to throw water on it to put the fire out.
TONI:  Um no.  YOU were the one who ran, got the bowl out of the cabinet, and started to fill it up with water before I told you to stop.  I got the SALT and poured it on the fire before it got out of hand.
ALLEN:  You were always smart.
TONI:  Flattery won’t get your far here sir.

ALLEN GETS UP, SMILES, AND WALKS TOWARD TONI.  WHEN HE GETS UP TO HER, HE SUPPORTS HIMSELF ON THE TABLE AND BENDS DOWN TO FACE HER.

ALLEN:  So what do I have to do to get somewhere with you?
TONI:  Dinner was a start.
ALLEN:  So you want dessert?

TONI SMILES.

TONI:  Absolutely.  I want something nice…strong…and chocolate.
ALLEN:  Look no further baby.

THEY KISS.

 -----------------------------------------

LINDSAY:  Um you’ve got…a…situation upstairs at the bar.
DEVIN:  Customer doesn’t want to pay for a weak drink?
LINDSAY:  Yeah how did you know?
DEVIN:  My bartender texted me.  I told him not to charge for the drink and give him another one.
LINDSAY:  You’re on it huh?
DEVIN:  Yeah.  I try to be.

DEVIN TURNS AROUND AND SHUFFLES PAPERS ON HIS DESK.

LINDSAY:  Are you okay?
DEVIN:  Yeah I’m fine why do you ask?
LINDSAY:  Nothing…uh…I’m gonna go back upstairs.
DEVIN:  No.  Don’t go yet.
LINDSAY:  So everything’s not okay.
DEVIN:  Shut the door.
LINDSAY:  Wow.  Must be serious.
DEVIN:  It is.
LINDSAY:  What is it?  The club?

DEVIN TURNS AROUND AND WALKS UP TO LINDSAY.

DEVIN:  I can’t hold it back anymore.
LINDSAY:  What are you talking about?
DEVIN:  I have feelings for you Lindsay.  I have for a long time.  Okay.  There I said it.
LINDSAY:  Oh.  I…I don’t know what to say.
DEVIN:  You don’t have to say anything.

DEVIN PLANTS A KISS ON LINDSAY. LINDSAY RETURNS THE KISS AND PULLS BACK.

LINDSAY:  I…I gotta get upstairs.  Gregory’s…waiting for me.

LINDSAY RUNS OUT OF THE OFFICE.  DEVIN LOOKS OUT AT LINDSAY LEAVING, AND SLAMS THE DOOR IN ANGER.

-------------------------

PAULINA:  You’re never done.
GRANT:  I AM done!  I promise you.
PAULINA:  Empty as it might be.
GRANT:  I’m seeing the error of my ways.
PAULINA:  Yeah twenty thousand years later.
GRANT:  Look there’s…there’s always gonna be a part of me that wonders what life would have been like had we stayed together.
PAULINA:  Maybe you wouldn’t have tried to burn my house down.
GRANT:  That was a terrible mistake.
PAULINA:  It was an unintended consequence.  It almost cost me my marriage and my son.  Even if I wanted to move on in some way with you, I could never forget that.  I’ll NEVER forget it.  I want a selfless man.  That’s how you were when we were together, but you changed after you married Vicky.  You were obsessed with getting custody of Kirkland, and covering your own ass.  That’s the kind of man you are, and I don’t want to be with a man like that.

GRANT NODS HIS HEAD.

GRANT:  People…do change over time.
PAULINA:  Except for you.  It’s getting late.  I’d like you to leave.
GRANT:  Paulina I hope…I hope we can move on somehow from everything I did.
PAULINA:  Good night.

GRANT WALKS TO THE DOOR AND GETS A PHONE CALL BEFORE HE LEAVES.

GRANT:  Kelsey?  Oh…alright I’ll be right there.
PAULINA:  What happened?
GRANT:  That was my cousin.  It’s Spencer.  I’ve gotta get to him before it’s too late.

PART 1

AT THE MCKINNON’S, VICKY IS SITTING ON THE COUCH DOWNSTAIRS ON VIDEO CHAT WITH BRADLEY O’ NEILL.
Bradley O'Neill

Vicky Hudson

VICKY:  Yes Donna’s throwing it.
--
BRADLEY:  That’s great isn’t it?  With everything that you’ve been through with your family, I think you deserve a celebration.
-
VICKY:  You can come, too.
-
BRADLEY:  As your?
-
VICKY:  Special friend.  Look I know the way things started between us, but I couldn’t have gotten through any of this without your friendship.
-
BRADLEY:  I’m glad I could be there for you Vicky.
-
VICKY:  Thank you.
-
BRADLEY:  You’ve definitely helped me, too.
-
MICHELE COMES DOWNSTAIRS.
Michele McKinnon

VICKY:  I’ll call you tomorrow and we can go to the party.

VICKY ENDS THE CALL AND TURNS TO MICHELE.

VICKY:  Hi honey.
MICHELE:  Grandma Donna wants to throw a party for Bridget.
VICKY:  You got her text.
MICHELE:  The worst thing to probably ever happen was to show her how to use text.
VICKY:  Not only a text…a group text.
MICHELE:  Wow how modern of her.  So who was that on the phone?
VICKY:  Brad O’ Neill.
MICHELE:  Oh the guy that was at the hospital.  You guys are hitting it off huh.
VICKY:  We’re good friends.
MICHELE:  Hmm seems like it’s more than that.  Guess you’ve…finally moved on from dad.

 ---------------------------------

JAKE WALKS UP TO A DOOR AND RINGS THE BELL HOLDING AN ENVELOPE.  PAULINA OPENS THE DOOR.
Paulina Cory

Jake McKinnon

PAULINA:  What are you doing here?
JAKE:  I need to talk to you.
PAULINA:  At this hour?
JAKE:  It’s cold out here.  Can I come in?

PAULINA WALKS INTO THE LIVING ROOM.  JAKE WALKS IN AND SHUTS THE DOOR.

JAKE:  Thank you.
PAULINA:  So what do you want to talk about?   More conspiracy theories?
JAKE:  It’s not a theory.

JAKE TAKES OUT A COUPLE OF ITEMS FROM THE ENVELOPE AND GIVES THEM TO PAULINA.

PAULINA:   What is this?
JAKE:  Look at them.
PAULINA:  This says...the date of Bridget’s OB visit.
JAKE:  Now look at the other paper.
PAULINA:  The date that the server was broken into?
JAKE:  It was after Bridget’s visit.  Dr. Mason told me that nobody else’s health information was compromised.
PAULINA:  This doesn’t prove anything Jake.  I can’t believe that you’re willing to seek proof that Michele was somehow behind this!
JAKE:  I’m not trying to say that!
PAULINA:  Yes you are!   I don’t understand why you’re doing this.  These are your daughters.  Your flesh and blood.  You need to think the best of them.  Not this.

PAULINA PUSHES THE PAPERS ONTO JAKE’S CHEST.

--------------------------------------

AT CLUB FREEDOM, HOUSE MUSIC BLARES AS THE CROWD DANCES.   ANTONIO IS MAKING HIS WAY THROUGH IT. AND BUMPS INTO RAFAEL.

Antonio Santierro

Rafael Santierro

ANTONIO:  Dad?
RAFAEL:  Come with me.  NOW.

----------

MEANWHILE, ELIZABETH WALKS THROUGH THE CROWD AND SEES LINDSAY AT THE VIP TABLE.  SHE WALKS UP TO HER.
Lindsay Winthrop

Elizabeth Hutchins

ELIZABETH:  Hi Lindsay.
LINDSAY:  Elizabeth hey.
ELIZABETH:   Where’s uh…where’s Gregory?
LINDSAY:  He went to the restroom a while ago.
ELIZABETH:  Hm.

--------

IN THE MEN’S RESTROOM, DEVIN LOCKS THE DOOR AND CONFRONTS GREGORY.

GREGORY:  What the hell do you think you’re doing?
DEVIN:  You’re not gonna use that crap in my club.
GREGORY:  Are you serious?
DEVIN:  This is one big practical joke.  Of course I’m serious.   If you wanna get high, do it elsewhere.  Don’t do it here.
GREGORY:  So let me get this straight.  You’re not okay with me taking a pill, but you’re perfectly fine with T selling them…as you put it…in your club.
DEVIN:  I should have my guys throw your ass out.
GREGORY:  What’s stopping you?  Lindsay?  That’s what this is all about isn’t it?
DEVIN:  You’re all wrong for her.
GREGORY:  And you’re right?  So you think Lindsay’s better off with a drug dealer like you?
DEVIN:  I’m not dealing any drugs.
GREGORY:  But you’re letting it happen though, so it’s the same thing.  If you were so against drugs in your place of business, you would have T thrown out, but you didn’t.  You’re deep into this aren’t you?

CAMERA PAN ON DEVIN.  SLOW FADE OUT.  FADE IN TO THEME SONG.

 ----------------------

PART 2

VICKY:  Oh I’m not gonna say that quite yet.
MICHELE:  So you’re still in love with dad?
VICKY:  No that’s not what I’m saying.
MICHELE:  Then what is it?
VICKY:  You’re sweet trying to play matchmaker but, I like things the way they are between Bradley and me.
MICHELE:  So you don’t love dad anymore.
VICKY:  I’m always gonna love Jake.  He’s your and Bridget’s father, but I’m not in love with him anymore.

------------------------

JAKE:  That’s not what this is about Paulina.
PAULINA:  Then what is it about?  Sounds to me that you’re looking for any reason to blame Michele for what happened to Bridget.
JAKE:  I’m just trying to get to the truth.
PAULINA:  Yeah like YOU see it.
JAKE:  Don’t you want to know how this happened?
PAULINA:  Michele didn’t cause Bridget to have an anaphylactic episode.
JAKE:  It was the antibiotic that caused it, and she wouldn’t have had the allergic reaction if the test results weren’t switched!
PAULINA:  You don’t even know if they were switched Jake!  These papers don’t prove anything!   Look if this is your way of trying to get me blame Michele, it didn’t work.
JAKE:  I guess it was pointless for me to come over here.
PAULINA:  Yeah I guess it was.
JAKE:  Are you going to Bridget’s homecoming party?
PAULINA:  Of course I am why would I miss it?

------------------------------

OUTSIDE OF THE CLUB, RAFAEL PULLS ANTONIO TO THE SIDE.

ANTONIO:  What the hell do you think you’re doing?
RAFAEL:  I’m getting you out of trouble.  I really don’t think you wanna spend time in prison.
ANTONIO:  I’m not going to jail.
RAFAEL:  You keep doing this and that’s exactly where you’re gonna end up!  Get out of this before it’s too late!
ANTONIO:  This isn’t a regular job.  I can’t just give my two weeks notice and quit.
RAFAEL:  You have no idea what road you’re going down.  Get out while you still can make something of yourself.
ANTONIO:  Don’t you think it’s a little late to play the father figure?  All the time I grew up, you were behind bars!
RAFAEL:  And I don’t want that for you!
ANTONIO:  You have no idea what I want.  You don’t know my favorite color.  You don’t know what foods I enjoy.  You don’t know anything about me!
RAFAEL:  Son we can talk about all of this later.  Can we go someplace and hash this out?
ANTONIO:  No we can’t.  I have work to do.

ANTONIO WALKS AWAY FROM RAFAEL.

 ------------------

LINDSAY:  I hope he gets back soon.  His drink is getting watered down.

ELIZABETH TAKES GREGORY’S DRINK AND DRINKS IT.

LINDSAY:  Hey.
ELIZABETH:  Go get him another one.  Tell them my brother is the owner.
LINDSAY:  Where is your brother anyway?
ELIZABETH:  He’s probably around here somewhere.
LINDSAY:  I talked to him a while ago, but I haven’t seen him since.
ELIZABETH:  I’ll go look around.

ELIZABETH LEAVES.

 -------------------

IN THE MEN’S RESTROOM, DEVIN CONFRONTS GREGORY…

DEVIN:  I don’t know what you’re talking about.
GREGORY:  Do you need me to spell it out for you?
DEVIN:  I dunno why don’t you try?
GREGORY:  You’re a drug dealer!
DEVIN:  And you’re a drug addict!  You know what would Lindsay think if she found out?
GREGORY:  She’s not gonna find out.
DEVIN:  She said she couldn’t find her earrings that go with her outfit.  If I were a betting man, I’d say you stole them to buy some dope.
GREGORY:  You’re losin’ it man.
DEVIN:  You’re a fiend.  Fiends will do whatever it takes to get high.
GREGORY:  Oh I get it.  So you’re gonna tell Lindsay about your suspicions so she can break up with me and run to you?  Is that how it’s supposed to work?   Because it’s not.  In fact Lindsay’s gonna be more disgusted with you when she finds out you’re using your club as a front to deal drugs and God knows what else you’re doing.

ELIZABETH COMES UP TO THE DOOR AND LISTENS.

DEVIN:  You don’t deserve Lindsay!  Why don’t you do her a favor and break up with her?  You’ll spare her the pain of finding out that you’re an addict; that you’ve been lying to her.
GREGORY:  You’re in love with my girlfriend aren’t you?
DEVIN:  Maybe I am.
GREGORY:  You better back the hell up!
DEVIN:  Or what?

ELIZABETH LEAVES AS GREGORY TAKES OUT HIS CELL PHONE.

GREGORY:  I could do a search on my phone for the State of Illinois.  Should be easy to find.  If they get a whiff of what you’re doing in here, they will shut down this place so fast, not to mention you’ll be brought up on drug trafficking charges.
DEVIN:  So what’s stopping you?  Why don’t you call them?  Or you already know they’re not gonna believe the word of a drug addict.
GREGORY:  Do you really think I’m concerned about that?  They’ll investigate and find all the facts for themselves.
DEVIN:  So why don’t you do it?  Call em.

GREGORY PUTS HIS CELL PHONE BACK IN HIS POCKET.

GREGORY:  No I’m not gonna do that, because YOU are going to help me.  Do as I ask, and I won’t say anything to anyone…on the condition that you stay away from Lindsay.

FREEZE FRAME ON GREGORY.  SLOW FADE OUT.  END OF EPISODE 226

ELIZABETH:  Come in.

CORY WALKS IN.

CORY:  Oh no what kind of outfit is that?
ELIZABETH:  It’s what you wear to a club.
CORY:  Don’t let mom see you.  She might make you come back up here and put on a sweatsuit.
ELIZABETH:  I’m surprised you’re not dressed.  You’re not going to Devin’s club tonight?
CORY:  The opening’s tonight?
ELIZABETH:  Yeah duh.
CORY:  If you see him tell him I’m sorry I couldn’t make it.
ELIZABETH:  Yeah I guess I will.  What’s so important that you couldn’t come to support our brother?
CORY:  Clubs really aren’t my thing.  You know Donna invited me to Bridget’s welcome home party.
ELIZABETH:  Are you serious?  I thought Donna didn’t want you anywhere near Bridget and Michele.  Well I don’t want you anywhere near Bridget.  Actually I’m kind of glad she broke up with you.
CORY:  She said Bridget insisted that I come.
ELIZABETH:  Oh please tell me that you’re not thinking about getting back together with her.  I mean I know she just got out of the hospital, and you probably feel sorry for her but...
CORY:  How can you say something like that?
ELIZABETH:  Cory, you’ve forgotten what she’s done.  Michele didn’t just wake up one day and decide to get back at her sister.  Bridget started all of this.  I don’t want you to forget that.

ELIZABETH APPLIES HER LIP GLOSS AND SMACKS HER LIPS.

ELIZABETH:  How do I look?
CORY:  Like you’re trying to get a boyfriend tonight.

GREGORY:  Take these.  I’m sure they’re worth something.
GREGORY gives her the earrings and BRIANNA looks at them.
BRIANNA:  Hmmm these are…
GREGORY:  Ruby diamond studs.  I’m sure you can get something good for them.
BRIANNA:  Yeah…I sure can.
BRIANNA gives him the pills.

GREGORY FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT.

GREGORY:  Maybe you misplaced them.  I’m sure they’ll turn up.

DEVIN:  What’s up?
ANTONIO:  Are you ready for tonight?

DEVIN SIGHS.

DEVIN:  Ready as I’m ever going to be.  How’s your mom?
ANTONIO:  Still no change.

Rafael Santierro
AT THE HOSPITAL, RAFAEL WALKS INTO MAGGIE’S ROOM AS MAGGIE LIES IN HER BED WITH HER EYES CLOSED.  RAFAEL PULLS UP A CHAIR AND SITS IN IT ON THE SIDE OF MAGGIE’S BED.

RAFAEL:  Do you remember the first time we…held Antonio?  He was one day old, screaming his little head off.  It was the happiest day of my life.  Yours, too I’m sure.  That’s the last time we were in a hospital together.  Then I messed up and you went on to become a doctor.  I got a job today though, so everything’s coming together, but there’s one thing missing.  I need you to wake up.  I want to make it up to you.  I broke up our family when I went to prison.  I feel terrible about that.  I messed up our family…and our marriage.  As much as you got on my nerves, I never stopped loving you.  You and Antonio are the best things that ever happened to me.  Wake up Maggie…please.

RAFAEL GETS UP AND WALKS TOWARD THE DOOR AND SUDDENLY…

MAGGIE:  Wow.  That’s the nicest thing you’ve ever said to me.

RAFAEL TURNS AROUND AND SMILES.

RAFAEL:  How long have you been awake?

CAMERA PAN ON MAGGIE.  SLOW FADE OUT.  FADE IN TO THEME SONG.

-------------------------

RAFAEL:  Wow this is a miracle.
MAGGIE:  I couldn’t agree more.
RAFAEL:  What is that supposed to mean?
MAGGIE:  All those sweet nothings you just whispered in my ear.  It is quite miraculous.
RAFAEL:  I meant every word.
MAGGIE:  Did you?
RAFAEL:  Of course I did.  Why would you…?
MAGGIE:  Doubt you?  I have so many reasons.
RAFAEL:  Come on Maggie I’m not that same guy I was when we were married.
MAGGIE:  So you meant everything you just said to me?
RAFAEL:  Yeah I did.  I never stopped loving you.
MAGGIE:  Where’s Antonio?
RAFAEL:  He got a job working at the Club Freedom.
MAGGIE:  That used to be the Harbor Club right?
RAFAEL:  Donna Love sold the land to Devin Hutchins.  Anyway stop trying to change the subject.
MAGGIE:  Oh you’re talking about the little declaration of love you gave me.  You didn’t even think I heard you.
RAFAEL:  Since you heard me, what are your thoughts?
MAGGIE:  Hmm funny you should ask.   I do have a way you can…make things up to me.
RAFAEL:  What is it?
MAGGIE:  You can’t tell anyone that I’m awake.
RAFAEL:  That’s not hard, because I agree.
MAGGIE:  You can’t even tell Antonio.  Nobody.
RAFAEL:  Why not?  It’s not like you remember what happened right?

MAGGIE LOOKS AWAY FROM RAFAEL.

MAGGIE:  No.
RAFAEL:  You used to lie so well.  You’ve lost your touch.
MAGGIE:  Alright.  I remember that bitch kidnapping me on my way to the Corys.  She locked me in the damned freezer, and she poisoned my iced coffee with fentanyl.
RAFAEL:  So what are you gonna do?
MAGGIE:  I’m gonna make sure that Brianna doesn’t hurt anyone else…ever.

GREGORY:  Yeah it’s…it’s great.
LINDSAY:  Are you okay?  You’ve been fidgeting since we sat down.
GREGORY:  I think this shirt is a little itchy.
LINDSAY:  You should get some hypo allergenic detergent.  Like Tide.

ELIZABETH WALKS IN AND DEVIN GREETS HER.

DEVIN:  Hey.  Where’s Cory?
ELIZABETH:  He said he couldn’t make it.  He got invited to Bridget’s homecoming.
DEVIN:  His girlfriend came home from the hospital?
ELIZABETH:  She broke up with him.
DEVIN:  I need to keep up with you guys.
ELIZABETH:  We understand big brother.  You’ve got other things going on.
DEVIN:  Your mom actually let you out of the house wearing that?
ELIZABETH:  Shut up.
DEVIN:  Well don’t just stand here.  Go enjoy yourself.  And drink responsibly.  I don’t want to have to explain to Rachel why you went home drunk.
ELIZABETH:  Yeah yeah.

GREGORY NOTICES ANTONIO WALKING THROUGH THE CROWD TOWARD THE MEN’S ROOM.

GREGORY:  Hey I’m gonna…go to the restroom.
LINDSAY:  Is that why you’re moving around?

GREGORY:  Listen I don’t need a whole bag.  Just give me a little bit.
ANTONIO:  I can’t just give this stuff away man.
GREGORY:  I don’t need a lot man.  Just enough to get me over for tonight.

GREGORY GRABS ANTONIO.

GREGORY:  Please.  I’m desperate.  Come on.

DEVIN WALKS UP TO LINDSAY IN THE VIP SECTION.

DEVIN:  You’re enjoying yourself?
LINDSAY:  This is really cool.  You did a great job with this.
DEVIN:  Your outfit looks great.
LINDSAY:  Thank you.  You, too.  I had earrings that matched this dress.
DEVIN:  What happened to them?
LINDSAY:  You know I have no idea.  It’s like they just disappeared.  I looked all over the apartment for them.
DEVIN:  Maybe…Gregory misplaced them.
LINDSAY:  I asked him.  He said he hadn’t seen them. Well business looks like it’s booming on your opening night.
DEVIN:  Where’s Gregory?
LINDSAY:  He went to the restroom.  He’s been gone a little while.
DEVIN:  Nature calls huh?

LINDSAY RAISES HER EYEBROWS.

LINDSAY:  I guess.  I’m gonna go get a drink.
DEVIN:  Tell them I said it’s on the house.

LINDSAY WALKS AWAY AS DEVIN SMILES.

GREGORY GRABS ANTONIO’S COLLAR AND PUSHES HIM AGAINST THE WALL.

GREGORY:  Come on man!  Please.  I need some.
ANTONIO:  Alright alright.

GREGORY LETS HIM GO.  ANTONIO TAKES OUT A PILL FROM A BAG.  GREGORY QUICKLY TAKES THE PILL AS DEVIN WALKS IN.

DEVIN:  Get outta here T.

ANTONIO LEAVES AND GREGORY TRIES TO FOLLOW, BUT DEVIN LOCKS THE DOOR AFTER ANTONIO LEAVES.

DEVIN:  You’re not going anywhere.
GREGORY:  Let me outta here!
