PART 1

AT DONNA’S SUITE, DONNA IS ON A VIDEO CALL WITH HER EARBUDS ON AS SHE PACES SLOWLY BACK AND FORTH IN THE LIVING ROOM.
Anna Stuart as Donna Love

DONNA:  Oh look at him.  He’s getting so big.  He looks so peaceful sleeping…everything is getting better here…no unfortunately Bridget hasn’t forgiven Victoria yet, but in time I’m sure she’ll come around, and for now it looks like the girls have stopped fighting…

DONNA WALKS TOWARD THE DOOR.

DONNA (still on the phone):  Bridget is fine and she’s getting out of the hospital today.   I wanna throw a family dinner…I wish you and Tyrone could bring the baby.

DONNA TURNS HER BACK TO THE DOOR AS VICKY WALKS IN.

Cynthia Watros as Vicky Hudson

DONNA:  Speaking of babies, I have more good news…Kirkland told me that he and Charlie are expecting.
VICKY:  What?

DONNA TURNS AROUND AND FACES VICKY.

DONNA:  Oh...yeah give Roman a kiss for me.  I love you.

DONNA ENDS THE CALL AND TAKES THE EARBUDS OUT OF HER EARS.

DONNA:  Victoria.
VICKY:  Kirkland’s gonna be a father and he didn’t even tell me?

DONNA SIGHS.

DONNA:  You weren’t supposed to hear that.
VICKY:  Why not?  I’m gonna be a grandmother and I’m the last to know.
DONNA:  You are NOT the last to know.
VICKY:  I bet he told Grant.  I’m gonna go talk to Kirkland.

VICKY TURNS AROUND TO LEAVE.

DONNA:  Victoria, before you go, I have to tell you something.

VICKY TURNS AROUND AND FACES DONNA.

VICKY:  What is it?  Is it Marley?  Is she okay?
DONNA:  Marley’s fine.  It’s not about Marley.  It’s about when you see Kirkland.  If he tells you that he and Charlie are gonna be parents, you have to act surprised.
VICKY:  Why?   I know that they’re having a baby.  There’s no need for me to pretend as if I didn’t.
DONNA:  Because you weren’t supposed to know.   I was sworn to secrecy.
VICKY:  So the other day he…told you that he and Charlie were having a baby.  He actually…came to tell me.

VICKY SMILES.

VICKY:  I wonder if he told Grant first.

VICKY GETS A TEXT FROM KIRKLAND THAT READS:  Can U meet me at the Ctr in 30 mins?    VICKY TEXTS HIM BACK “Yes”.

DONNA:  Who was that?
VICKY:  That’s Kirkland.  He wants to meet me at the Center.  Guess he’s gonna tell me.

AT THEIR SUITE, KIRKLAND IS BUTTONING UP HIS SHIRT AS CHARLIE WALKS IN FROM THEIR BEDROOM.
Josh Kelly as Kirkland Harrison

Brittany Underwood as Charlie Winthrop Harrison

CHARLIE:  How do I look?
KIRKLAND:  Like you’re about to go tell your dad about what happened at the hospital.
CHARLIE:  After sleeping on it I…I feel a little bit better about it.
KIRKLAND:  Really?
CHARLIE:  Yeah, despite what happened, and that it happens to so many people, Dr. Mason was wrong.
KIRKLAND:  And you don’t care about the fallout possibilities if your dad decides to sue?
CHARLIE:  That’s not it at all.  Believe me I would hate to be the person who causes an uprising in Bay City but I HAVE to say something.   I can’t hold this back anymore.
KIRKLAND:  It’s eating you up.
CHARLIE:  It’s starting to, and all the stress isn’t good for our baby.
KIRKLAND:  I just want you to feel good about it.

CHARLIE SMILES PENSIVELY.

CHARLIE:  I do.  So what are you doing today?
KIRKLAND:  I’m gonna tell my parents that we’re having a baby.
CHARLIE:  You haven’t told them yet?
KIRKLAND:  I could have told my mom but my dad was out of town, and I wanted to tell them both at the same time.  They argued when I told them about the wedding.
CHARLIE:  You told Grant about the wedding first.
KIRKLAND:  Yeah.  I’m not making that mistake again.
CHARLIE:  So your dad’s back in town?
KIRKLAND:  Yeah he texted while you were in the shower, and I texted my mom so I’m meeting them later.
CHARLIE:  Well it’s time for us to head out.
KIRKLAND:  You wanna join me at the hospital later?  Bridget’s going home today.
CHARLIE:  I’ll let you know.  Depends on how things go with my dad.

AT THE HOSPITAL, BRIDGET IS IN HER ROOM PACKING WHEN LINDSAY WALKS IN.
Kate Mansi as Lindsay Winthrop

Lexi Ainsworth as Bridget McKinnon

LINDSAY:  Knock knock.
BRIDGET:  Hey.  Come in.
LINDSAY:  I know you’re glad to be getting out of here today.
BRIDGET:  Yes.  It’ll be great to sleep in my own bed again.
LINDSAY:  I can imagine.  Need some help packing?
BRIDGET:  Yeah if you don’t mind.

LINDSAY GOES TO THE CLOSET AND GETS SOME CLOTHES OUT AND PUTS THEM IN THE SUITCASE THAT IS ON THE CHAIR.  BRIDGET FOLDS HER CLOTHES AND PLACES THEM IN HER OTHER SUITCASE IN THE OTHER CHAIR.

LINDSAY:  So how are you feeling?
BRIDGET:  To be honest with you, as healthy as I’ve ever been.
LINDSAY:  You recovered very nicely I must say.  Your body when through anaphylactic shock.
BRIDGET:  From an antibiotic that I didn’t even need to take.

OUTSIDE THE ROOM, MICHELE WALKS UP TO THE DOOR AND HEARS THEM TALKING, AND SHE HAS A FLASHBACK.
Denyse Tontz as Michele McKinnon

(EPISODE 292)

BRIDGET:  You’ve done enough of that, and it’s not gonna last.  People are gonna see what an evil bitch you are.
MICHELE:  So how did you get a S.T.I. without sleeping with anyone else?  If Cory is the only person you’ve ever slept with…
BRIDGET:  He is!
MICHELE:  Then how could you have possibly gotten chlamydia stupid?  Did you ever consider the possibility that…you might not have it all?
BRIDGET:  My doctor ran the tests three times.  It wasn’t a mistake.
MICHELE:  That’s because…I made it happen.
BRIDGET:  What?

MICHELE WALKS CLOSER TO BRIDGET AND STOPS RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER.

MICHELE:  The security breach at the hospital?   Hello?
BRIDGET:  That was…that was you?  You…tampered with my test.
MICHELE:  And your test was negative.

MICHELE FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT AND DECIDES TO LISTEN.

LINDSAY:  Did they ever find out what happened?
BRIDGET:  They’re saying it was just a mix up of the tests.
LINDSAY:  They need to put more security measures in place so things like that don’t happen.
BRIDGET:  I’m sure the hospital took all the precautions and protocols that they could take.   Dr. Matthews said that I never even had chlamydia.

MICHELE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND COMES IN.

MICHELE:  Hey sisters.
LINDSAY:  Michele hi.
BRIDGET:  Hey Michele.
MICHELE:  You’re going home today.  That’s great news.

PART 2

AT THE CENTER, VICKY IS SITTING AT A TABLE WHEN GRANT WALKS UP TO HER.
Mark Pinter as Grant Harrison

GRANT:  Victoria.
VICKY:  What are you doing here?
GRANT:  Kirkland texted me while I was on my way back from Washington.  Is everything okay?
VICKY:  He texted me, too.  I guess we’re gonna have to wait until he gets here for us to find out.

GRANT SITS ACROSS FROM VICKY.

GRANT:  I wonder what this could be about.

VICKY SMILES.

VICKY:  I’m sure it will be something very surprising.
GRANT:  You know something don’t you?
VICKY:  I am just as in the dark as you are.

KIRKLAND WALKS UP TO THEM.

GRANT:  Son is everything okay?

KIRKLAND SITS IN THE SEAT BETWEEN VICKY AND GRANT.

KIRKLAND:  Everything’s fine dad.
VICKY:  Hi honey.

KIRKLAND LEANS OVER AND KISSES VICKY ON THE CHEEK.

VICKY:  It must be serious.  You called us both here.
GRANT:  Look if you’re in some kind of trouble, I can help you.
KIRKLAND:  Dad, it’s nothing bad.
GRANT:  Then what is it?

VICKY SMILES AND SLOWLY TURNS HER HEAD TO HER RIGHT, BUT GRANT AND KIRKLAND NOTICE.

KIRKLAND:  Why are you smiling mom?

VICKY FACES THEM AGAIN.

VICKY:  Um…Bridget’s getting out of the hospital today.  That’s great news isn’t it?
KIRKLAND:  You know don’t you?
GRANT:  Know what?
VICKY:  Alright.  I might as well come clean.  Grant, we’re gonna be grandparents.
GRANT:  Grandparents?  You and Charlie are having a baby!  Congratulations!
KIRKLAND:  Grandma Donna told you didn’t she?  I told her not to tell anyone until I talked to you both---
GRANT:  Wait a minute.  You told Donna before you told me?
VICKY:  Well we’re even.  He didn’t tell me about the wedding.  He told YOU first.
GRANT:  We’re far from even.  He told Donna first.
VICKY:  He actually came to tell me first.  I’m his mother.  I’m his favorite parent.
GRANT:  Mostly because you kept him from me.
KIRKLAND:  GUYS!  This is why I wanted to tell you at the same time.  I knew you would bicker.
VICKY:  We’re…I’m sorry.  This isn’t about us.  This is about you and Charlie, and our granddaughter.
GRANT:  You mean grandson.  I can teach him all about politics.
VICKY:  The least interesting subject in the world.  I want to teach my granddaughter all my beauty secrets.

KIRKLAND COVERS HIS FACE WITH HIS HANDS AND SHAKES HIS HEAD AS GRANT AND VICKY TALK OVER EACH OTHER.

----------------------------------------------------

CHARLIE WALKS UP TO THE DOOR, AND OPENS IT.  SHE SEES CASS SITTING AT HIS DESK.
Stephen Schnetzer as Cass Winthrop

CASS:  Hey kid.  This is a nice surprise.
CHARLIE:  Hey dad.  How are you?
CASS:  I’m great now.  I’ve been swamped with work.  I could use a break.  So you decided to come see your old man.  Is everything okay with the baby?
CHARLIE:  The baby’s fine.

CHARLIE SITS ACROSS FROM CASS WITH THE DESK IN BETWEEN.

CASS:  Uh oh something’s on your mind.  Look I don’t wanna get involved in your marriage.
CHARLIE:  There’s nothing in my marriage.
CASS: Well then what is it?  Something clearly is on your mind.
CHARLIE:  What…made you think that?
CASS:  I’ve only known all of your life.  I can see when something’s bothering you.  Come on talk to your dad.
CHARLIE:  I went…back and forth about this.  I’m still not even sure if I should say anything to you.
CASS:  You’re starting to scare me.
CHARLIE:  Wait…forget it.

CHARLIE GETS UP AND CASS GETS UP AND GETS TO THE DOOR BEFORE CHARLIE CAN.

CASS:  No no kiddo.  I’m not letting you leave until you tell me what’s going on with you.

CHARLIE BACKS AWAY.

CHARLIE:  You know sure know how to get me to talk don’t you?
CASS:  I’m your father.  Look I can’t help you if you don’t talk to me.
CHARLIE:  It…happened at the hospital.  Right before I found out I was pregnant.

----------------------------------------------------------

LINDSAY:  I’m gonna go check my schedule.  I’ll be right back.  You two promise to behave right?
BRIDGET:  We’ll be fine.

LINDSAY LEAVES BRIDGET AND MICHELE ALONE.

MICHELE:  Um…mom and grandma Donna said they were coming.  I understand if you don’t want me around.
BRIDGET:  No, I’m actually glad you came.  Make yourself useful and finish packing my other bag.
MICHELE:  Looks like Lindsay took care of it.  It’s good to see you up and moving.
BRIDGET:  Yeah I’m feeling better than I’ve ever felt.
MICHELE:  That’s…that’s good.  Hey listen…maybe if you’re up to it we can…watch a movie and…
BRIDGET:  Eat pints of ice cream.
MICHELE:  Bet you forgot what my favorite was.
BRIDGET:  Vanilla bean.  Oh my God I could never figure out what it was that you liked about that ice cream.  It was so plain.  I’d have to have like…chocolate syrup or something to go with that.
MICHELE:  Well I liked Rocky Road.
BRIDGET:  I know.  Mom and dad would have to get us our own pints.
MICHELE:  Among other things.
BRIDGET:  Because we wouldn’t share.

THEY LAUGH.

MICHELE:  The good old days.
BRIDGET:  Who says those days have to be old?
MICHELE:  I know I haven’t been the best sister to you.

BRIDGET WALKS UP TO MICHELE AND PUTS HER HANDS ON MICHELE’S SHOULDERS.

BRIDGET:  Stop.  We’re not gonna do this today okay.  We were both pretty rotten to each other, but we can start over.

MICHELE’S EYES WELL UP.

MICHELE:  I’d like that.
BRIDGET:  No matter what, we’ll always be sisters.

BRIDGET SMILES AND HUGS MICHELE, WHO HUGS HER BACK.  BRIDGET HAS A FLASHBACK.
