AT DANA’S OFFICE, DANA IS AT HER COMPUTER WORKING AND
BRYANT WALKS IN.
Bryant Kramer |
BRYANT: Hey mom.
DANA: Hey
baby. What brings you to my office?
BRYANT: Well dang
I can’t come see my mom?
DANA: Now you know
that’s not what I meant. What are you
gonna do on your first day in Bay City?
BRYANT: Well
that’s why I got my laptop. I’m about to
apply for some jobs.
DANA: Bay City’s
growing exponentially. I’m sure you’ll
find something.
BRYANT: I know I
will.

AT BAY CITY CENTER, BRADLEY O’NEILL IS SITTING AT A TABLE
WHEN VICKY WALKS UP TO HIM.
Bradley O' Neill |
Vicky Hudson |
VICKY: Anyone
sitting here?
BRADLEY: I’m
looking at you hoping that you’d be.
VICKY: I thought
you’d never ask.
FROM A SHORT DISTANCE, JAKE OBSERVES THEM.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ELIZABETH WALKS INTO THE CORY MANSION THROUGH THE FRONT
DOOR, AND RACHEL MEETS HER IN THE FOYER.
Elizabeth Hutchins |
RACHEL: Hello
there.
ELIZABETH: Mom. Where are you headed?
RACHEL: I’m going
to the office. How was your night at the
McKinnons?
ELIZABETH: Pretty
good. Hey have you seen Cory?
RACHEL: Well um…he
had something to do.
ELIZABETH: I bet
he did.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MICHELE RINGS THE DOORBELL TO DONNA’S SUITE AND DONNA
OPENS THE DOOR.
Donna Love |
DONNA: Hi
sweetheart.
MICHELE: Hey
grandma Donna.
DONNA: Come on in
honey. I was just headed out. You know where everything is.
MICHELE: Except
for Bridget.
DONNA: She should
be back soon. She went out for a
minute. Why? I wonder if I should stay and referee another
match between you two.
MICHELE: No…no
it’s not like that at all.
DONNA: Come on
Michele you and I both know that you and your sister can’t stay in the same
room for two seconds without wanting to kill each other.
MICHELE: You know
I’ve…been seeing Dr. Bingham. I’ve
learned so much about myself.
DONNA: Well that’s
good. I just wish your sister would go
see him.
MICHELE: You know
how bullheaded and stubborn Bridget can be.
DONNA: I’m gonna
get outta here... against my better judgment…but there’s something I have to
do.
MICHELE:
Everything’s gonna be fine grandma Donna. Don’t worry, I won’t fight with Bridget.
MICHELE KISSES DONNA ON HER LEFT CHEEK.
DONNA: I’m
serious! I don’t want any more fighting
in this family.
MICHELE: I’m gonna
do my part okay but…I really gotta go to the bathroom.
DONNA: Okay
alright I’ll see you later.
MICHELE: Love you.
DONNA: I love you
too honey. Behave.
MICHELE: I
will.
DONNA LEAVES AND MICHELE LEAVES THE LIVING ROOM.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DONNA WALKS AWAY, AND BRIDGET EMERGES OUTSIDE OF THE FRONT DOOR, AND SHE WALKS UP TO IT. SHE FUMBLES HER KEYS AND DROPS
THEM. AS SHE BENDS DOWN TO PICK THE KEYS
UP, SHE NOTICES CORY BEHIND HER.
CORY HUTCHINS |
BRIDGET: Cory.
CORY: Can we go
inside? We have to talk.
BRIDGET: We sure
do.
CAMERA PAN ON BRIDGET…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.
PART 2
DEVIN HUTCHINS |
DEVIN IS IN HIS NEW CLUB LOOKING UP AT A SIGN THAT READS
THAT IS NAILED TO THE BACK WALL ABOVE AND BEHIND THE BAR: CLUB FREEDOM.
HE SMILES AS ONE OF THE CONTRACTORS COMES IN. DEVIN LOOKS AROUND.
DEVIN: This is
great. You guys did a great job.
CONTRACTOR: We got
a couple more things to do.
DEVIN: I’ve got
the liquor license and…we should be ready to go after the inspection. That’s fantastic. Thank you.
DEVIN TURNS AROUND AND ADMIRES HIS 'CLUB FREEDOM' SIGN
AFTER THE CONTRACTOR WALKS OUT. HE TURNS
BACK AROUND AND SEES SOMEONE.
DEVIN: Donna.
DONNA: Club
Freedom huh?
DEVIN (smiling):
Yep.
DONNA:
You’ve…you’ve done a great job.
DEVIN: Thank the
contractors.
DONNA: Right. I mean I could’ve…rebuilt the Harbor Club
but…it was time to give it up.
DEVIN: What are
you doing here?
DONNA: I…I owe you
an apology.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
VICKY IS SITTING ACROSS FROM BRADLEY O’ NEILL AT A BAY
CITY CENTER TABLE WHILE JAKE SEES THEM FROM A SHORT DISTANCE. JAKE LEAVES.
VICKY: So what’s
goin on with you?
BRADLEY: Not
much. Just…taking in Bay City.
VICKY: is that
right? Bay City isn’t New York or
anything.
BRADLEY: I
know. That’s why I like it. You know that’s where my nephew lives
now.
VICKY: Your nephew?
BRADLEY: My
brother’s son Colin. He loves the big
city. He’s always texting me about how
much fun he’s having.
VICKY: Well that’s
good right? That means he’s happy.
BRADLEY: I don’t
think his mother approves. I’m sure
you…you’ve heard of who his mother is.
Reva Shayne?
VICKY:
Really? The Reva Shayne? You mean
the lady that was splashing in the pool declaring herself the Slut of
Springfield?
BRADLEY: Yep
that’s the one.
VICKY: I mean
everyone knows she loved Josh Lewis.
Your brother must have really put the moves on her.
BRADLEY: My
brother told me that she wants Colin to live in Springfield, but he doesn’t
want to.
VICKY: We always
worry about our kids.
BRADLEY: Yeah I…I
know the feeling.
VICKY: What do you
mean? You have kids?
BRADLEY: I’m
just…I’m just thinking about Bryant.
VICKY:
Bryant? Is that your son?
BRADLEY: No I…we
raised him.
VICKY: You mean
you…and your wife.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ELIZABETH: Oh come
on mom Cory doesn’t tell me all of his business.
RACHEL: Hm somehow
I don’t believe you, but I won’t push the issue.
ELIZABETH:
Thanks. Where are you headed?
RACHEL: I’m headed
to the office. You know Amanda won’t be
back for a while.
ELIZABETH:
Why? What happened?
RACHEL: Alli’s
been in an accident and she went to be with her.
ELIZABETH: Oh no,
is she gonna be okay?
RACHEL: She hasn’t
called me since she left, so I’m going to pick up the slack.
ELIZABETH: Don’t
work too hard mom.
RACHEL: Oh I won’t
be.
ELIZABETH: How
long do you think Amanda’s gonna be gone?
RACHEL: She’s on
indefinite leave, so last night I put out a job listing on
Baycityworks.com.
ELIZABETH: Have
you gotten any hits?
RACHEL: Yes, which
is why I’m going to the office. Matthew
and I are gonna sort through them.
Hopefully we’ll find the best candidate.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DANA: Well take
your time and don’t accept anything less than what you’re worth. These companies will try to lowball you since
you’re right out of college.
BRYANT SITS DOWN AT AN EMPTY DESK, AND OPENS HIS LAPTOP.
DANA: You should
do a…salary comparison on wages.com.
You’ll get an idea of what a company should pay you. Are you hungry? Maybe we should go to the Center and get a
bite to eat.
BRYANT IS STILL LOOKING AT THE SCREEN ON HIS LAPTOP.
DANA: Bryant?
BRYANT: I’m sorry
mom. I’m just…looking at this job. Seems interesting. This company BAYCorP.
DANA:
BAYCorP? Why do you wanna work
there?
BRYANT: This
position they have. Assistant to the
C.O.O. No experience necessary. Degree in Business administration. Seems perfect.
DANA: I really
don’t think that’s a good idea.
BRYANT: What are
you talkin’ about mom? This seems like a
perfect opportunity.
DANA: BAYCorP is
the last place you should consider working.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BRADLEY: Yeah. He’s not our biological son. We adopted him.
VICKY: So you’re
worried about him?
BRADLEY: No no not
at all in fact he just graduated from college.
VICKY: Well that’s
great isn’t it?
BRADLEY: Of course
it is. I couldn’t be more proud of him.
VICKY: I know what
you mean. I worry about…all of mine. Steven, Kirkland, Michele...
BRADLEY: And what
about Bridget?
VICKY: Well I
don’t worry about her so much because…I know she will land on her feet
somehow.
VICKY SIGHS.
VICKY: She’s
just…like her mother.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT DONNA’S SUITE, MICHELE COMES UP TO THE LIVING ROOM
ENTRANCE BUT HEARS CORY AND BRIDGET, AND DECIDES TO HIDE AND LISTENS TO THEIR
CONVERSATION.
BRIDGET: So what
do you need to talk to me about?
CORY: Your
grandmother came to my house last night.
BRIDGET: She
did? What did she say?
CORY: She started
arguing with my mother.
BRIDGET: Must have
been about Steven.
CORY: No it wasn’t
about your brother. Is there something
you need to tell me?
BRIDGET: I know
why Donna went to your house. She wanted
to talk about you about giving me chlamydia.
CORY: I don’t have
chlamydia.
BRIDGET: How do
you know?
CORY: I’m on my
way to the hospital. My question is how
did you get it?
BRIDGET: I don’t
know.
CORY: What do you
mean you don’t know? There’s only one
way you can get a S.T.I.
BRIDGET: Are you
accusing me of sleeping with someone else?
CORY: Did you?
BRIDGET: How can
you even ask me a question like that? Of
course I didn’t!
CORY: That doesn’t
make any sense. How could you not have
slept with someone and gotten chlamydia?
BRIDGET: How do we
know that it wasn’t you who cheated on me?
CORY: We used
protection.
BRIDGET: Obviously
it may not have been enough.
CORY: So…I’m going
to the hospital to get tested.
BRIDGET: And if
they find that you have chlamydia there’s…it might as well be over. I could never trust you after that.
CORY: And what if
I don’t? If I don’t have chlamydia, that
means you were the one who cheated on
me.
BRIDGET: I didn’t
cheat on you.
CORY: And how am I
supposed to know that?
BRIDGET: Because
you love me and you trust me.
CORY: Like you’re
loving and trusting me now?
BRIDGET: I didn’t
sleep with anyone else. I have no idea
how I got this.
CORY: You…I can’t
believe…
BRIDGET: No
you…you don’t believe me. You don’t
believe that I’ve been faithful to you.
CORY: I’m going to
the hospital.
BRIDGET: I’m…I’m
gonna come with you.
CORY NODS HIS HEAD AND HE AND BRIDGET LEAVE. MEANWHILE MICHELE EMERGES FROM HER HIDING
SPOT….SMILING.
MICHELE: It’s
working out better than I ever thought.

Michele getting exactly what she wants... For now. We all know that never lasts for long in a soap.
ReplyDeleteI liked Donna going to see Devin. Let's see what happens there. I find that whole situation interesting, and I know you'll rock it.
Vicky and Bradley connecting over their children. I kinda liked you making that connection to Cynthia Watros' old stomping grounds lol.
Dana knows Bryant should not be working for baycorp. But we know the kids don't listen to their parents' advice. He's not only going to apply, but we know he's getting that job.
Can't wait to see what's next. Another strong episode.
