GRANT:  You’ll get through this Christy.  You’re way too strong.
CHRISTY:  I don’t feel that way that’s for sure.
GRANT:  This is...really taking a toll on you.
CHRISTY:  James and Douglas denied me a chance of being a mother when I had Eric, and now fate didn’t allow me to be a mother this time.  I wanted to raise my own child.
GRANT:  I get it.  I really do.  I kinda...want that chance to be a dad, too...again.
CHRISTY:  I really hope you find your other son.

KIRKLAND:  They’ve been fighting since before I was born.  Anything else?
VICKY:  And you know what’s going with Bridget and Michele.
KIRKLAND:  Yeah I had to stop them from fighting at the hospital.  Can’t leave those two in a room together for five minutes it seems like.
VICKY:  Your brother’s dating that kidnapper and now your Aunt Marley.  I just haven’t felt right since we left her place yesterday.
KIRKLAND:  Is she alright?
VICKY:  She’s been overprotective of Roman.  She thinks that Reginald is gonna try to have him kidnapped.
KIRKLAND:  Have you guys tried to help her?

PART 2

PAULINA:  Your timing is lousy.
JAKE:  Uh oh I know that look.  The same look you gave me in 1994.
PAULINA:  I’ve probably given you this look many times.
JAKE:  I was talking about our wedding day.
PAULINA:  Oh the day we didn’t get married.  The day I found out you and Spencer Harrison were trying to take over my father’s company.
JAKE:  I got your message.  I’m assuming it didn’t go well with Jack.
PAULINA:  So did you come all the way over here to tell me ‘I told you so’?
JAKE:  Of course not...well...I did tell that he could break your heart.
PAULINA:  Gee thanks.  You’re such a friend.
JAKE:  So where are you headed in a rage?
PAULINA:  To Grant’s.
JAKE:  Grant?  Why?
PAULINA:  It’s a long story.

JAKE PLOPS ON THE COUCH, PUTS HIS FEET UP ON THE COFFEE TABLE, AND LOOKS UP AT PAULINA SMILING.

JAKE:  I got time.

PAULINA TURNS TO JAKE, SIGHS, AND FOLDS HER ARMS.

---

GRANT:  I’ve never seen you like this.
CHRISTY:  Is there stupid gas in the air?  You all are breathing it.
GRANT:  There she is.
CHRISTY:  I’ve never miscarried Grant, so excuse me if I’m a little somber.
GRANT:  I’m sorry.  Listen you can stay here as long as you need.  I’ll take care of the costs.
CHRISTY:  Thank you I...really appreciate this.
GRANT:  I’m gonna head home.  I got a text from my cousin.
CHRISTY:  Everything okay?
GRANT:  She said it’s about my dad.  I’m very concerned.
CHRISTY:  For what it’s worth I hope he’s okay.
GRANT:  Yeah...me, too.  He’s all I have left besides Kirkland.

----

KIRKLAND:  Aunt Marley has been through so much.
VICKY:  Life hasn’t dealt her a good hand.  She really deserves some happiness.  We all want that for her.
KIRKLAND:  Yeah.
VICKY:  Well at least things are going well for you and Charlie.  Something is actually going right in this family.

KIRKLAND GETS A TEXT FROM ERIC THAT STATES:  Twenty minutes.

KIRKLAND LOOKS UP AND SEES ERIC AT THE COFFEE SHOP DOORWAY LOOKING AT HIM AND VICKY.  ERIC WALKS AWAY, AND KIRKLAND LOOKS BACK AT VICKY.

KIRKLAND:  I...I gotta go.
VICKY:  Come on Kirkland we just got here.
KIRKLAND:  I just remembered, Charlie and I are doing something later and I gotta get ready.
VICKY:  Okay well...I’ll see ya.  I...gotta go talk to your brother.

VICKY AND KIRKLAND GET UP AND KIRKLAND KISSES HER ON HER LEFT CHEEK.

KIRKLAND:  Love you mom.
VICKY:  Love you, too.

TYRONE:  We’re lookin for this woman.
CLERK:  Oh that’s that woman they lookin’ for with the baby.
TYRONE:  My app tracked her here.  What room is she in?

  1. I knew it. Marley is too cunning even when in a crazed state of mind to be found so easily. Wow. Cecile helped her? That seems like walking right into Reginald's trap. I'm fascinated to see what happens next. You did a great job building that tension and suspense in those scenes. Great work.

Eric looms, and Kirkland is in deep. This is a great slow building story. I am certain that it's all gonna blow up in kirkland's face eventually, but for now Eric has kirkland right where he wants him. Vicky is clueless.

The lovely and snarky repartee between Paulina and Jake is great to see again. That relationship is classic and I'm glad you're featuring it again.

Speaking of snarky relationships, Grant and Christy are shining through, even as Christy mourns her baby's death. Those two are a treat.

Strong episode and a fantastic ending. Great work.

  2. What another great show! I knew this episode was going to be good, and it was!

The first thing I loved about this episode, and that I've loved for quite some time, is the continuing build with the Christy/Grant relationship. They've gone from schemeing, to almost friends. I am so interested in how Christy's future stories will be shaped with the loss of her baby. I also wonder what Grant's next moves are going to be with Christy.

I enjoyed the scenes between Paulina and Jake. You have Jake down pat! That move with him sitting on the couch is so classic Jake. I have a feeling some comedy will be in store in the next episode between Paulina and Jake!

This whole Kirkland/Eric thing is soooo good! I can't wait for the truth to be revealed. With each passinng moment, Kirkland digs that hole for himself deeper and deeper!

Now, I can touch on my current fave story! Marley's madness! I love how you are not skipping a single beat with this story. You are letting it all play out so natuarally. I am so glad that you are letting us see all the emotions at play. You have me rooting for Marley!! And, I was surprised by that whole Cecile thing. That is going to be soooo good! However, I am a tad nervous for Marley. I think that Alex was right, that this is a trap. Marley has to be careful. You are building up some damn good suspence!

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK! Can't wait for #258!

  3. Again how i thought it was going to play out it went another direction.Good job. I thought for sure theyd catch marley and take her to a mental hospital. BUt she got away. Wow I can't belive it. Is this how she's leaving? THats fukked up for Tyrone. An unfinished story for sure.

Christy is taking this baby loss way harder than I realized. I am happy Grant is there for her. I see a story for those two then the search for her missing son. ANother story. No No Grant's missing son.
I hope Spencer is ok and will we see him?

Jake was there for Paulina as they shared a few memories of yesterdays.

    Good twist in Marley's story!!
