AT THE HOSPITAL...LINDSAY IS WITH GREGORY IN GREGORY’S ROOM. LINDSAY SITS AT THE SIDE OF THE BED.
LINDSAY: I didn’t know what happened. I wasn’t too happy with you for a while.
GREGORY: Well you know I wouldn’t just not show up like that.
LINDSAY: I know. I doubted you. I’m sorry. I must say, though, I’m not sure if you should get behind the wheel of a car again.
GREGORY: Quite the jokester aren’t we?
LINDSAY: Yeah...that would be me.
GREGORY: I love it. It wasn’t my fault this time, though.
LINDSAY: So your dad’s gonna take you home?
GREGORY: Yep.
LINDSAY: I can’t believe it. Someone cut the brake line in your mom’s car though? Like who would wanna do that?
GREGORY: It’s weird. They think Taylor Benson might have something to do with it.
LINDSAY: But she’s in a mental institution right?
GREGORY: Yeah...real weird.

LINDSAY: Do you....want me to step out?
GREGORY: No you can stay. I’m having some pain in my back.
BRIANNA: Any numbness, tingling, stiffness?
GREGORY: None of the above. Just a little pain.
BRIANNA: Well a painkiller can take care of that. I’ll get Dr. Winthrop to prescribe some for you.
GREGORY: Thanks.
BRIANNA: Don’t mention it.

BRIANNA SMILES AS THOMASINA LEAVES, THEN BRIANNA TURNS HER SMILE TO A SINISTER FROWN.

MEANWHILE, CHRISTY IS LYING IN HER BED WITH HER BACK TO THE DOOR, AND ERIC WALKS IN.
ERIC: Mom?
CHRISTY TURNS OVER AND SEES ERIC, THEN SHE TURNS BACK OVER TO HER ORIGINAL POSITION.
CHRISTY: I thought you wanted nothing to do with me.
ERIC: I came as soon as they called me. Are you okay?
CHRISTY: I got in a car accident and lost my baby. I’m just peachy.
ERIC: Mom I don’t wanna see you sad like this, and I didn’t want you to get into accident.
CHRISTY: But you...wanted me to lose the baby.
ERIC: No of course not.
CHRISTY TURNS OVER, SITS UP AND FACES ERIC.
CHRISTY: So you want to...make amends now?
ERIC: Mom come on. I’m trying to apologize here. I said some mean things to you last night. I’m sorry.
CHRISTY: You didn’t even want a little sister or brother.
ERIC: I...I just want you to...love me. I didn’t want to be part of some master plan.
CHRISTY: I do love you! That’s why I want you to leave. There’s nothing for you in Bay City.
ERIC: What about you? You still wanna leave?
CHRISTY: Not...quite yet.
ERIC: Just last night you were pleading with me to go away with you.
CHRISTY: I’m not leaving until I find out who killed my baby.

JOHN AND SHARLENE ARE IN JOHN’S OFFICE. JOHN IS SITTING AT HIS DESK AND SHARLENE IS SITTING ACROSS FROM HIM.
SHARLENE: I thought we were rid of that woman.
JOHN: If you think about it, it really doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
SHARLENE: Enlighten me.
JOHN: Taylor’s been locked up in an institution right?
SHARLENE: Right?
JOHN: So you mean to tell me that she escaped, went to our house, cut the brake line, and went back?
SHARLENE: She could still be on the loose.
JOHN: It...it just doesn’t add up.
SHARLENE: I don’t put anything past her.
BRIANNA WALKS BY AND LISTENS FROM THE OUTSIDE...
SHARLENE: Taylor’s capable of anything as you know.
JOHN: Well the police are looking into it.
SHARLENE (grunts): Oooooh she’s caused so many problems. I wish that bitch was dead!

ERIC: Who do you think did it? How did it happen?
CHRISTY: I couldn’t see who was driving. Hit me head on.
ERIC: You’re lucky you survived.
CHRISTY: But my baby didn’t.
ERIC: We’ll...we’ll move on...somehow.
CHRISTY: Yeah Eric we’ll just...forget that I lost a child.
ERIC: That’s not what I’m saying…
CHRISTY: You said you wanted us out of your life.
ERIC: I...I didn’t mean that…
CHRISTY LIES BACK DOWN, AND TURNS HER BACK TO ERIC.
CHRISTY: You can go.
ERIC: Mom.
CHRISTY: Bye.
ERIC STANDS THERE WAITING FOR ANOTHER RESPONSE FROM CHRISTY, BUT REALIZES SHE HAS NOTHING MORE TO SAY, SO HE LEAVES. BRIANNA WALKS UP TO THE DOOR, WATCHES ERIC WALK AWAY, AND PEEKS IN THROUGH THE LONG RECTANGULAR GLASS IN AT CHRISTY, WHOSE BACK IS TURNED TO THE DOOR.

JOHN: Don’t say that.
SHARLENE: It’s how I feel, John! When Taylor was alive, she methodically tried to dismantle our marriage; tried to make me look like an unfit mother, I mean do I need to continue?
JOHN: Believe me I’m well aware of what Taylor has done to us.
SHARLENE: I wish she was dead, because as long as she’s alive, she’s a threat to our lives.
JOHN SHAKES HIS HEAD.
JOHN: No I...for some reason don’t think Taylor did this.
SHARLENE: She probably didn’t do it herself.
JOHN: Sharlene---
SHARLENE: She hired someone to do it. You know how clever she is.
JOHN: Come on why would Taylor come after us now..more than twenty years later?
SHARLENE: Who the hell knows what that crazy bitch is thinking? I’m not gonna be a sitting duck for her this time.
SHARLENE GRABS HER PURSE AND GETS UP FROM THE CHAIR.
JOHN: Where are you going?
SHARLENE: I’m going to find Taylor.
JOHN: Will you wait a minute? She may not be in the same institution she was in before.
SHARLENE: I don’t care what I have to do. I’m going to put a stop to it!
JOHN GETS UP AND STEPS IN FRONT OF SHARLENE BEFORE SHE CAN LEAVE THE OFFICE. HE GENTLY PLACES HIS RIGHT HAND ON HER LEFT SHOULDER AND ESCORTS HER TO THE SEAT SHE WAS SITTING IN.
JOHN: Come on sit down. Calm down, and think rationally.
SHARLENE: I can’t. Gregory could have been killed last night. This has Taylor written all over it.
DANTE PEEKS THROUGH THE OPEN DOOR.

DANTE: Can I come in?
JOHN: Sure.
SHARLENE: Got any leads on who tampered with my brakes?
DANTE SHUTS THE DOOR.
DANTE: I tracked the down the institution that Taylor was staying in.
SHARLENE: So you’re going to go question her right?
DANTE: No.
JOHN: Why not?
DANTE: Because she definitely did not tamper with your brakes.
SHARLENE: I don’t get it. She’s the only person who hates me that much to try and kill me.
JOHN: Wait. Dante what did you find?
DANTE: Taylor could not have possibly tampered with the brakes. She died a few weeks ago.
SHARLENE: Dead? Taylor’s...actually dead? I mean she faked her death once before. Are you sure that she’s dead?
DANTE: She had a lot of health problems. She passed away.
JOHN: I knew something was off.
SHARLENE: Well then if it wasn’t Taylor, then who did it? Who is after me?

IN THE LOCKER ROOM, BRIANNA OPENS HER LOCKER, REACHES UP TO THE TOP SHELF AND GRABS A SCALPEL. SHE PUTS HER LEFT FINGER GENTLY ON THE TIP OF THE SCALPEL, AND TWIRLS IT..
BRIANNA: Yes Dr. Mason, I will be more than happy to check on the patient.
