AT THE MONTGOMERY’S…TYRONE, BARECHESTED, WAKES UP AND SQUINTS HIS EYES.  HE TURNS TO LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BED, WHICH IS EMPTY.  HE LOOKS UP AND SEES MARLEY SITTING IN A CHAIR NEXT TO ROMAN’S BASSINET.

TYRONE:  Marley?  Did you sit there all night?
MARLEY:  I’m watching the baby.
TYRONE:  You didn’t even come to bed.
MARLEY:  Doesn’t he look so peaceful when he’s sleeping?
TYRONE:  The person who needs sleep is you.  I can go into the office late if you need to rest.
MARLEY:  I’m fine, Tyrone.
TYRONE:  No you’re not.  You’re clearly tired.
MARLEY:  I will not rest until I know Roman is safe.
TYRONE:  He is safe.
MARLEY:  Is he?  Was he safe in the nursery at the hospital?
TYRONE:  I got a security system and an alarm all through the house.  Nobody’s gonna get in or out of here without us knowing it.
MARLEY:  Really?  Do you think a bunch of cameras is gonna stop Reginald from getting to our baby and kidnapping him?
TYRONE:  Your grandfather is not gonna do anything to us or the baby.  Marley you’re gonna be no good to Roman or anyone if you don’t get some sleep.  I can call Donna and Vicky to come and watch the baby.
MARLEY:  I don’t want anyone else here!  I will watch Roman; I will protect him.  I’m gonna make sure my grandfather doesn’t try to kidnap him again.
TYRONE:  What are you talking about?  Reginald is not going to kidnap our son.
MARLEY:  He can get to him at any time.  Look at what happened at the hospital.  We let our guard for one moment and he will strike.
TYRONE:  So you’re gonna sit up and watch Roman twenty four seven?  You’re not gonna be able to do that.
MARLEY:  I don’t think you’re taking this as seriously as you need to.
TYRONE:  Marley I...I can’t believe I’m hearing this from you.  You think I don’t wanna protect Roman?
MARLEY:  I don’t know what to think anymore!
TYRONE:  You’re not thinking at all!  You need to sleep Marley, and I have to go the office.  Let me call Donna and Vicky to come and watch the baby while you sleep...please.

TYRONE GETS A PHONE CALL ON HIS CELL and TURNS HIS BACK TO MARLEY.

TYRONE:  Hey Cass...I should be there in about an hour...No I...I got it...you can take the day off….okay.

TYRONE PRESSES END CALL, TURNS AROUND, AND SEES MARLEY SLEEPING.  HE GENTLY PLACES A NEARBY BLANKET ON HER TO KEEP HER WARM, THEN HE MAKES ANOTHER PHONE CALL.

PART 2
TYRONE OPENS THE LIVING ROOM DOOR AND IT’S DONNA.

TYRONE:  Come in.
DONNA (walking in):  Is everything okay?  It sounded important.
TYRONE:  It is.  Marley is acting strange.
DONNA:  Really?  How?
TYRONE:  She hasn’t been sleeping lately.  She thinks that if she sits and watches Roman herself that Reginald won’t try to have him kidnapped.
DONNA:  My God.  Wait a minute that’s...I was over here the other day and she wouldn’t let me watch Roman down here while she went upstairs to get a pamper.  He’s really got her scared.  Damn him!  Where is she now?
TYRONE:  She’s sleeping in the nursery with the baby.  Can you guys watch him and makes sure she gets some rest?  I have to get to the office and do some work.
DONNA:  Of course I will.  I texted Victoria and she’ll be here shortly.  You go on.  We’ll take care of Marley and the baby.
TYRONE:  Thank you.

VICKY WALKS IN AND APPROACHES TYRONE AND DONNA.

VICKY:  Hey mom I got your text.  What’s going on?  Is Marley okay?  Is the baby okay?
TYRONE:  I’ll let Donna tell you.  I gotta get outta here.  I’ll be back soon.
DONNA:  Thank you Tyrone for telling us.

TYRONE WALKS OUT THE DOOR AND VICKY TURNS TO DONNA.

VICKY:  I’m getting worried is everything okay?
DONNA:  Something isn’t right with Marley.
VICKY:  What what’s going on?
DONNA:  Tyrone says she’s not sleeping.  She thinks that Reginald is going to try and kidnap the baby again.
VICKY:  My God.
DONNA:  She refuses to leave Roman’s side.
VICKY:  Well of course she can’t go on like this.  She can’t watch him twenty four hours a day.
DONNA:  Right.  We need to help her get through this.

MARLEY COMES TO THE TOP OF THE STAIRS CRADLING THE BABY UNSEEN BY DONNA AND VICKY.

VICKY:  Of course we will, especially given her history of mental illness.  Where is she now?
MARLEY:  Right here.  So I guess Tyrone told you everything huh?
DONNA:  Marley honey.  How much did you hear?
MARLEY (coming downstairs):  Enough.
DONNA:  Honey he’s concerned about you and so are we.  Why don’t you let us watch Roman and you go get some rest?
VICKY:  Mom’s right.  You’re not be any good to the baby if you’re not rested.  We’re here to help you.
MARLEY:  Yeah sure you are.  You guys think I’m too crazy to be a mother to my own child.  I heard you Victoria.
VICKY:  Nobody thinks that.
DONNA:  Marley there’s no possible way you can sit up and watch him all day and all night.  Let us take care of you so you can take care of Roman.
VICKY:  We’re not gonna let anything happen to him.
DONNA:  We want to protect him just as much as you and Tyrone do.
MARLEY:  No you don’t.  You wanna take him away from me because of my history don’t you?
VICKY:  That’s not the case at all.
MARLEY:  The hell it isn’t!  Well I don’t need you to tell me how to love and protect my baby!

ROMAN STARTS CRYING AND MARLEY GENTLY ROCKS HIM.

MARLEY:  Shh shh shh shh shh it’s gonna be alright Roman.  Mommy’s here.  Mommy’s always going to protect you.  Look what you’ve done.  You woke him up.
VICKY:  Come on Marley.  Let us watch him for a while.  Just for a couple of hours while you get some sleep.
MARLEY:  Not a chance.  In fact, both of you can leave.  You can call Tyrone and tell him I’m fine because I don’t need you here.

AT THE WINTHROPS, CASS WAKES UP IN THEIR BEDROOM AND NOTICES FRANKIE IS GONE.  HE GETS UP AND PUTS A ROBE ON.

CASS:  Frankie!  I was hoping you were making me breakfast but I don’t smell anything cooking.

CASS WALKS OUT TO THE LIVING ROOM AND SEES NOBODY.

CASS:  Hmmm.  Where did you go Frankie?

----

AT TYRONE AND CASS’S PRACTICE, TYRONE IS SITTING AT HIS DESK ON HIS COMPUTER WHEN FRANKIE WALKS IN WITH AN ENVELOPE.

FRANKIE:  Hey Tyrone.
TYRONE:  Frankie hey.  Are you looking for Cass?
FRANKIE:  No Cass was sleeping when I left.
TYRONE:  Hey..what’s that thing on your finger?
FRANKIE:  Cass proposed to me last night.
TYRONE:  And you accepted right?
FRANKIE:  Of course I did.

FRANKIE RUMMAGES THROUGH HER PURSE, TAKES OUT A DOLLAR, AND SHOWS IT TO TYRONE.

FRANKIE:  Here take this.
TYRONE:  If I didn’t know any better I’d think that you’re trying to hire me as your lawyer.
FRANKIE:  I am.
TYRONE:  Why don’t you ask Cass?  Unless there’s...something you don’t want him to know about?
FRANKIE:  You’re too smart for your own good counselor.

FRANKIE GIVES TYRONE THE ENVELOPE.  HE TAKES OUT THE CONTENTS AND READS THEM.

TYRONE:  What?  A divorce decree?  Who’s Francesca O’Neill?

FRANKIE JUST LOOKS AT TYRONE.

TYRONE:  You?  What?  I don’t understand.
FRANKIE:  My daughter has been asking me where I’ve been all these years after I left Bay City.  I’ve been married...to Bradley O’Neill.  I had no memory of who I was.

TYRONE PUTS THE PAPERS IN HIS DESK DRAWER.

TYRONE:  Wow.  Well I’ll file these right away.  Have you told...no...you didn’t.  Frankie you can’t start things off like that.  Secrets have a way of coming out.
FRANKIE:  Cass can’t know about any of this.  I can’t do that to him.
TYRONE:  Well you know we have to find Bradley O’Neill.  If we don’t it could delay this whole process.  Do you think he’s gonna contest it?
FRANKIE:  No he won’t.

FRANKIE TAKES A POST IT NOTE,  WRITES BRADLEY’S ADDRESS ON IT, AND GIVES IT TO TYRONE.

FRANKIE:  You should find him here.
TYRONE:  I’ll move as quickly as possible.
FRANKIE:  Thank you so much.
TYRONE:  Frankie, you have to tell Cass the truth.
FRANKIE:  I will tell him everything about Bradley, but not until after the divorce.

BRADLEY WALKS UP TO AN OPEN DOOR AND SOMEONE SAYS “Come on in”.

BRADLEY:  Wow it’s been a long time.

  1. So dana was expecting brad. Now that is very interesting. I wonder what will come of this.

Frankie s secret is gonna come back to bite her. Vicky has already slept with him.

Marleys story was very strong. Shes worried about her grandad kid napping roman. I dont blame her. Tyrone is tryin to help her. Marley needs her rest.it was good to see them

  2. I adored those scenes with Marley they were very natural and damn good soap! I am also interested to see where this whole Frankie story goes. And, I wonder what the connection is between Dana and Bradley.

  3. What an excellent twist at the end. Dana knows Bradley. This is getting messy real fast yet again.

I love this build to Marley's paranoia. Slowly she's falling apart, and the family become more and more worried for her mental health. What a smart way to play on the terror Reginald's brought to Bay City.

Frankie is trying so hard to hide her marriage to Bradley, it's almost certainly about to come out, and not in the way she hopes it will. Watch out, Frankie!

I wonder how this whole budding chemistry between Vicky and Bradley will play out with all these women surrounding Bradley already. This looks to get VERY complicated VERY quickly. I'm impressed by how well Bradley's being integrated into Bay City.

    Another great show. Fabulously focused.
