HE LOOKS AROUND AND NOTICES SOMETHING. HE WALKS UP TO THE COUNTER AND SEES AN EMPTY GLASS, AND AN EMPTY VODKA BOTTLE. WHICH ALARMS HIM. HE TAKES OUT HIS CELL PHONE AND CALLS HER, BUT THEN HE HEARS FELICIA’S PHONE RINGING. HE GOES BEHIND THE COUNTER AND REALIZES IT’S FELICIA’S CELL PHONE.
DEVIN: Oh no.
DEVIN RACES OUT OF THE RESTAURANT.

MEANWHILE, A SIGN READS: 17 NORTH. FELICIA IS DRIVING, SNIFFLING AND CRYING AND PASSES THE SIGN.

AT MILLTOWN…
PAULINA: I guess your daughter’s all better huh?
JACK: Paulina---
PAULINA: Why did you just leave? No word, no phone call, no nothing!
JACK: I had to...protect my family.
PAULINA: You viewed me as a threat to your daughters? I would never hurt your children.
JACK: No that’s...that’s not what I mean.
PAULINA: Well enlighten me! Tell me what’s going on with you! We made love! I fell in love with you again.
JACK: I did what I did out of love Paulina.
PAULINA: Now you’re feeding me bull!
JACK GOES AND GETS HIS LAPTOP AND THE FLASH DRIVE THAT GRANT USED TO BLACKMAIL HIM. HE SHOWS IT TO PAULINA.
PAULINA: What is this? This is…
JACK: The day we sold the baby to Scooter Carruthers.
PAULINA: How? What? Where did you get this?
JACK: Grant Harrison.
PAULINA: Grant? Where the hell did he get this?
JACK: I dunno, but he threatened me with this, and told me to leave Bay City...and you...for good.
PAULINA: You can’t be arrested for this. It happened over thirty years ago!
JACK: No but I could lose my entire livelihood, and my family.
PAULINA: Is this a money issue? That’s not an object for me. I could take care of you--
JACK: No Paulina. No.
PAULINA: So you’re gonna let Grant Harrison break us apart?
JACK: That’s not it…
PAULINA’S EYES WELL UP…
PAULINA: I can’t believe this! You let Grant win!
JACK: He’s after you, and he had to get me out of the way.

CARLY AND HER DAUGHTERS ENTER WITH SHOPPING BAGS, AND CARLY STARES DIRECTLY AT JACK AND PAULINA.

FELICIA TRIES TO SWERVE OUT OF THE WAY, BUT HITS CHRISTY ANYWAY, SHE SWERVES ALSO, BUT IS HEADED STRAIGHT FOR A TREE, AND ALL SHE CAN DO IS PUT HER ARMS IN FRONT OF HER FACE TO BRACE FOR IMPACT.

GREGORY IS BEHIND CHRISTY, AND SEES THE ACCIDENT FROM A SHORT DISTANCE. HE TRIES TO PRESS HIS CAR’S BRAKES, BUT THE CAR IS NOT SLOWING DOWN…

HE SWERVES AND THE BACK OF THE CAR HITS A TREE, STOPPING THE CAR.

MEANWHILE, AN UNCONSCIOUS CHRISTY’S BLOODIED HEAD RESTS ON HER CAR’S AIRBAG, WHICH DEPLOYED. MEANWHILE, FELICIA’S CAR IS AT THE GUARD RAIL NEAR THE CLIFF. SHE IS ALSO UNCONSCIOUS.
