THE LIGHTS COME ON AND JOHN UNCOVERS SHARLENE’S EYES.
SHARLENE: Wow. This...this...
JOHN: Yes my love it’s the presidential suite. Part of why I stopped at the Center.
SHE WALKS TOWARD THE DINING TABLE, AND OBSERVES THE TRIMMINGS.
SHARLENE: Candlelight. I wonder what’s for dinner.
JOHN: I’ve already ordered room service.
SHARLENE PUTS HER ARMS ON JOHN’S SHOULDERS.
SHARLENE: What will we do in the meantime?
JOHN: Hmm I can think of something?
SHARLENE: Continue where we left off at your office?
JOHN: Great minds…

COURTHOUSE
Cass and Frankie listen to Judge Baker.
Judge Baker: Mrs. Christina Carson please stand. I’ve heard the testimony of Mr. Cass Winthrop and Miss Mary Frances Frame. I’ve read the doctor’s reports. You’ve been a model citizen among the inmates, but I am concerned. I am concerned about your past obsession with Mr. Cass Winthrop. Since I don’t see evidence of that being gone, I think you need more therapy, and you still could be a danger to Mr. Winthrop. I cannot grant you parole at this time.
Christy: Your honor please. I’m not that person anymore! I’ve paid my penance!
Judge Baker: We will revisit this is in six months. Court is adjourned. Please remand Mrs. Carson back to state custody.
Judge Baker hits the block with her gavel, and the guards escort Christy out of the back of the courtroom, as Cass and Frankie look at her.
Christy: No! No!
THEN SHE HAS ANOTHER FLASHBACK (EPISODE 155)
Christy: I also know about your connection to Mary-Frances’s twin brother, and I know where the dossier is.
Grant: It was you. Who did you order to break into my house?
Christy: Now I’ve got your attention. I’m not gonna ask you for much...just one small favor...get me the hell out of here.

Christy: Eric, I’m so glad to see you! Did you do it?
Eric: Yep. I got everything out of there. It wasn’t easy though.
Christy: Oh my sweet boy. You sure know how to make your mama proud.
AND THEN AT KIRKLAND AND CHARLIE’S WEDDING RECEPTION…(EPISODE 184)
Christy then makes eye contact with Grant as the elevator doors open. Kirkland notices the exchange between Christy and Grant as the elevator doors shut on Christy and Eric.
Eric: Mom. We shouldn’t have done that.
Christy: There was a purpose to that. Bay City now knows that we’re here.
AND HER LAST FLASHBACK (EPISODE 244)
ERIC: Are you finished? I thought you were leaving.
CHRISTY: I’m begging you. Please come with me. Please leave me so you can be safe.
ERIC: You don’t care mom. All you care about is that baby, so you...and your baby...can get the hell outta my life!
CHRISTY: Eric…
ERIC: Bye mom…
CHRISTY: You’re gonna wish you listened to me.
AND SHE FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT...AND SIGHS.
CHRISTY: Time to say good-bye to this God awful town.

MITCH: No. I’m hoping she’s not home. I wanna prepare the house for us.
DEVIN: She might be at Tops.
MITCH: If you find her can you stall her?

AT TOPS...THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN, AND FELICIA LOOKS OUT AT THE RESTAURANT, WHICH IS DIMLY LIT, AS THE PLACE IS CLOSED. SHE TURNS THE LIGHTS ON AND LOOKS OUT AT THE EMPTY RESTAURANT, THEN LOOKS OVER AT THE COUNTER. SHE WALKS SLOWLY OVER TO BEHIND THE COUNTER, BENDS DOWN, AND GRABS A GLASS...AND A BOTTLE OF VODKA. AFTER SHE PLACES THE GLASS AND VODKA ON THE COUNTER, SHE LOOKS CLOSELY AT THE ITEMS AND STARTS PANTING.

PAULINA: Call Jake.
JAKE (V.O).: This is Jake. Leave a message.
PAULINA (After the beep): Jake it’s me. I just wanted to let you know I’m headed to Oakdale. I need to find out what’s goin’ on with Jack.

JOHN and SHARLENE are lying in bed. SHARLENE rests on JOHN’S BARE CHEST…
SHARLENE: Does it get any better than this?
JOHN: It might.
SHARLENE: You got the Presidential Suite for us after that show. I don’t wanna leave.
JOHN: Neither do I. I could just lie here with you for the rest of my life.
SHARLENE: That could get quite expensive.
JOHN: Money’s no object.
SHARLENE: Until the bill comes.
JOHN: Let’s not think about costs. I just wanna think about you.
SHARLENE: Everything is...as it should be. You, me. Gregory’s doing well. Josie’s doing okay. Except for Russ trying to reach out to her.
JOHN: I talked with him, too after you read him the riot act.
SHARLENE: I’m leaving it up to Josie.
JOHN: And I agree wholeheartedly with you on that.

AT TOPS, FELICIA LOOKS INTENTLY AT THE VODKA BOTTLE AND GLASS ON THE BAR COUNTER. SHE HAS A FLASHBACK…

FELICIA (sigh): I guess you gotta be getting to the airport.
LORNA (eyes welling up): Mom? Please look out for my son.
FELICIA: Of course I’m going to do that. He’s my grandson isn’t he?
LORNA: I love you.

THEY GET UP AND HUG. WHILE THEY ARE HUGGING, FELICIA SEES THEM FROM A SHORT DISTANCE.
FELICIA FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT. SHE STARTS SWEATING AS HER URGE TO DRINK GETS STRONGER. SHE OPENS THE VODKA BOTTLE, POURS SOME INTO HER GLASS, AND SUCCUMBS TO HER URGES BY DRINKING IT. SHE TAKES A DEEP BREATH AS IF TO BE SOOTHED BY THE DRINK. SHE PICKS UP THE VODKA BOTTLE, SMELLS THE RIM TO SAVOR THE SCENT, AND DRINKS FROM THE BOTTLE. SHE’S BUZZED, STAGGERS A BIT TOWARD THE ELEVATOR, AND UNKNOWINGLY DROPS HER CELL PHONE ON THE FLOOR.

This was a very classic soap episode. Lots of romance and suspense. A lot of flashbacks and contemplation.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that John and Sharlene are having this romantic time together. It's well needed and you know there's drama just around the bend. Can't wait to see what happens from here.
Felicia is cracking. The pressure has been too much and she was given the catalyst to drop over the edge into drinking. Let's hope she doesn't do anything rash.
Time for Christy to leave town. I can't imagine she's gonna leave without making a huge splash on the way out. Guess we're gonna have to wait and see. The night is still young in Bay City.
Gregory and Lindsay about to go out for the evening. I think it's important Lindsay get out and give herself a distraction from her recent plight. Hopefully things turn out well.
Good build. I can sense something huge is thisclose to happening and I can't WAIT.
The scenes with John and Sharlene are very nice. Between an older couple who's been through a lot but still be contemporary and relevant. Very romantic.

Christy's final good bye was nice too. It was good seeing her journey recapped. I will miss her so much. Mayb she'll return one day. She does have more story to play out.
ANd mt girl fefe finally took to the bottle. I love your description with her smelling the rim. Spot on and different, I know this is not gonna end well. I am praying for her.
