GRANT WALKS UP TO THE BAR AND SITS DOWN.

GRANT:  Scotch neat please.

THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN AND CHRISTY WALKS UP AND SITS NEXT TO GRANT.

CHRISTY:  I’ve been looking all over for you.

GRANT:  And you came to Tops?

CHRISTY:  Your assistant told me you’d be here.

GRANT:  Back to the scene of the crime huh?

CHRISTY:  Why does everyone think I committed a crime?  Besides, the last time I was here I introduced myself and my son to everyone.

GRANT:  You crashed my son’s wedding reception.

CHRISTY:  If that’s how you wanna look at it.  Well I wanted to find you because I have some news.

GRANT:  I already know you’re pregnant.

CHRISTY:  And I’m leaving Bay City...tonight.

GRANT:  Well is that right?  I’ll definitely drink to that!  Hell other people might be drinking to that, too.

 THEY BOTH HAVE BEEN DRINKING.  THEY JUST INTRODUCED THEMSELVES TO EACH OTHER.

VICKY:  Good to meet you...Bradley O’ Neill.  Haven’t seen you around here.  You must be new to town.  Where are you from?

BRADLEY:  I’m from everywhere.

VICKY:  Really?  A nomad.  They never settle down.  

BRADLEY:  Not true.

VICKY:  You look like a man of a certain age.  Don’t you think it might be time?

BRADLEY:  That’s why I’m here.  I’m looking for my wife.

CASS:  You like it?

FRANKIE:  I...I love them.  My favorite type of earrings.

CASS:  I’m glad.

FRANKIE:  Thank you honey.

FRANKIE PUTS THEM ON.

FRANKIE:  I love them.  How do they look?

CASS:  They look great.  Hey can you put my sportcoat in the room?

FRANKIE:  Okay.

CASS GIVES HER THE SPORTCOAT AND SHE NOTICES SOMETHING DROP OUT OF IT.  SHE PICKS THE OBJECT UP, LOOKS AT IT, AND PUTS IT ON HER FINGER.

FRANKIE:  Cass?  Is this…?

CASS WALKS OVER TO FRANKIE, GENTLY TAKES HER LEFT HAND, AND BENDS DOWN ON HIS RIGHT KNEE

CASS:  Will you marry me...again?

FRANKIE:  Oh...yes...yes of course I will!

ARE IN THE LIVING ROOM ON THEIR LAPTOPS WORKING.  AMANDA IS SITTING ON THE COUCH AND MATT IS SITTING ON THE CHAIR DIAGONAL TO THE COUCH.  THE COFFEE CUPS ARE ON THE COFFEE TABLE.

MATT:  Whew that was hairy.

AMANDA:  What do you mean?  We’re not out of the woods yet.  We still have to finish convincing Mr. Suzuki that he will get a bigger return when this merger goes through.

MATT:  I know when he’s convinced.  He goes and takes a long break.  When he returns it’ll be short and concise.   He will stay.

AMANDA:  So we wait.

MATT:  We need him.

AMANDA (sighing):  We wouldn’t even be in this position.  We would be working at this hour if…

MATT:  If Felicia hadn’t taken Iris’s offer.

THEY LOOK UP AND SEE RACHEL

AT THE FOYER ENTRANCE.

RACHEL:  What did you say?

AMANDA:  Mom hi.

MATT:  Mom.  How long have you been standing there?

RACHEL:  Long enough.  Did you say that Felicia accepted Iris’s offer over yours?

AMANDA:  That’s not what we said…

RACHEL:  I know what I heard Amanda.  After all the work you put in to prepare an offer for her, she took KBAY’s offer?  When was someone going to tell me?

RACHEL TAKES OUT HER CELL PHONE AND MAKES A CALL.

RACHEL:  Felicia it’s Rachel Hutchins.  Can you come over here?  I need to see you.

RACHEL HANGS UP.

AMANDA:  Mom.  Matthew and I don’t have a problem with what Felicia decided.  It was business.

MATT:  Amanda’s right.  Iris offered a very lucrative deal.  There was no way we could’ve matched it.

RACHEL: Well it’s personal to me, and I’m going to talk to her about it.

AT LORNA’S SUITE…LORNA

LORNA:  Okay I gotta go through a quick run through.  

DEVIN (rolling his eyes):  I guess.

LORNA:  Devin I have to make sure that I have everything before I leave.  Okay papers?

FELICIA:  Check.

LORNA:  Shoes?

FELICIA:  Check.

LORNA:  Blouses.

DEVIN:  Mom you’re all packed and ready.

LORNA:  I...suppose I am I...wish I didn’t have to go.

FELICIA:  Are you sure you can’t stay a little while longer?

LORNA:  I’m sorry mom but...duty calls.

DEVIN:  We can always go visit?  Right?

LORNA:  You better.  

LORNA KISSES DEVIN ON HIS LEFT CHEEK, THEN SHE GETS A TEXT ALERT.

LORNA:  That’s...my driver.  

DEVIN:  Where are your bags?

FELICIA:  Near the bed.

DEVIN GRABS LORNA’S SUITCASES AND LORNA STOPS HIM AS HE HEADS TO THE DOOR. LORNA LOOKS BACK AND FORTH AT DEVIN AND FELICIA.

FELICIA (sighing):  I guess you gotta be getting to the airport.

LORNA (eyes welling up):  You both are my family. Promise me you will look after each other.

FELICIA:  Of course I’m going to do that.  He’s my grandson isn’t he?

DEVIN: Mom...stop it. We're gonna be fine.

LORNA:  I love you.

DEVIN: Love you, too.

FELICIA:  Oh honeyyyy.  I love you, too.  Gonna miss you.

LORNA:  Me, too.  See ya later.

THEY HUG, AND BID A TEARFUL FAREWELL. AFTER LORNA LEAVES IN FRONT OF DEVIN, WHO IS CARRYING HER BAGS, FELICIA WIPES TEARS FROM HER EYES, AND CHECKS HER VOICEMAIL.

RACHEL (v.o):  Felicia it’s Rachel Hutchins.  Can you come over here?  I need to see you.

CAMERA PAN ON FELICIA...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

VICKY:  Your wife?  Did she leave you or something?

BRADLEY:  We just have some...unfinished business.

VICKY:  Hmmm I wonder if I should keep digging...but I won’t.  I’m gonna enjoy this drink.

BRADLEY:  It’s almost like you and your husband.  She was in love with someone else.

VICKY:  Oh no.  I thought I was the only one this happened to.

BRADLEY:  I let her go.  So you said you were in love with someone else?

VICKY:  I loved Jake.  He’s the father of my children, and now we’re...divorced.

VICKY TAKES A SWIG OF HER DRINK…

BRADLEY:  Sorry about that.  You’re a beautiful woman.

VICKY:  Thank you.  You got a room here?

BRADLEY:  Yeah.

VICKY:  What a coinkydink.  So do I?

IN THE WINTHROP’S LIVING ROOM, THE LIGHTS ARE DIM.  CASS AND FRANKIE DANCE WHILE "EVERYTHING I DO" BY BRYAN ADAMS" PLAYS SOFTLY IN THE BACKGROUND.  

CASS HAS HIS ARMS AROUND FRANKIE AS SHE LEANS INTO HIS CHEST AND THEY DANCE SLOWLY.

FRANKIE:  I never expected it.

CASS:  A wedding ring?

FRANKIE:  Not tonight anyway.  You are always full of surprises.

CASS:  Well, I love you.  I’ve always loved you.  You were gone for a while.  I married Lila.  She and I made a good life for Charlie and Jasmine, but...it never compared to what we had.  Of all the women…

CASS NOW FACES FRANKIE.

CASS:  It was you.  You gave me Charlie, and a great marriage.  I want us to be married again.

FRANKIE:  All I’ve ever wanted was to be happy with you.  You changed me, too.  You chose me over Kathleen.  

CASS:  We got history don’t we?

FRANKIE:  We sure do.

THEY KISS, THEN CASS PICKS UP FRANKIE, AND CARRIES HER TO THE BEDROOM.  AS CASS WALKS BY CARRYING FRANKIE, SHE LOOKS AT THE FOLDER THAT CONTAINS THE DIVORCE PETITION.

MEANWHILE, AT VICKY’S HOTEL ROOM, SHE RESPONDS TO A KNOCK ON THE DOOR.

 IT’S BRADLEY O’NEILL.  HE IMMEDIATELY ENTERS, THEY START KISSING PASSIONATELY, AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE BED…

CHRISTY:  Are you really that happy to see me leave?

GRANT:  Let’s see, you’re blackmailing me, so yes, I hope you boldly go where nobody has gone before.

CHRISTY:  Wow Grant.  If I cared I might be hurt, but I don’t.  I have so much to look forward to.  My son, my baby, and me.  We’re finally gonna be a family.  I plan to set a good example for my child.

CHRISTY TAKES SOMETHING OUT OF HER POCKET AND PUTS IT ON THE BAR.

GRANT:  What is this?

CHRISTY:  I don’t want my child to think that his mother is a blackmailer.

GRANT:  What your baby doesn’t know won’t hurt it.

CHRISTY:  All that connects you to Evan Frame is on this drive.   It’s all yours.  It’s over.

GRANT LOOKS AT CHRISTY WITH AMAZEMENT AS SHE PATS HIM ON HIS LEFT SHOULDER.

CHRISTY:  Thank you for everything.  I’m going to go get my son, and we’re heading south on Route Seventeen, right out of this town.  Good-bye Grant.

AT THE CORY’S, FELICIA WALKS IN THE FOYER AND APPROACHES THE LIVING ROOM, WHERE RACHEL AWAITS ON THE COUCH.  SHE GETS UP AND FACES FELICIA.

FELICIA:  I got your voicemail.  Is everything okay?  

RACHEL:  No.  Not at all.

FELICIA:  Is there anything I can do?

RACHEL:  Yes you can.  You can tell me why you betrayed me.

FREEZE FRAME ON RACHEL...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.
