Characters in this episode:  Dr. Maggie Winthrop, Rafael Santierro, Matt Cory, Brianna Jameson, Donna Love, Devin Hutchins, Lindsay Winthrop, Felicia Gallant Blake, Christy Carson, Antonio "T" Santierro

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
--Brianna spiked Maggie's iced coffee with fentanyl.  Dr. Thomasina Mason ordered Maggie to inpatient rehab after she tested positive for fentanyl as a condition to keep her employment.  Brianna kidnapped Maggie on the night of Carl Hutchins' party.  Maggie does not remember anything about the kidnapping.  Maggie has been against Brianna's involvement with Matt.
--Donna kissed Devin to make Michael jealous.  Michael has left Bay City, but Devin and Donna seem to still be attracted to each other, but Devin's feelings for Lindsay are growing, and vice versa, but she's committed to Gregory.
--Christy spiked Felicia's club soda with a substance that tempted her to drink.  Christy got pregnant with Cass's baby after she forced Cass to give her a sperm sample (Brianna was holding Maggie as leverage).  Felicia fell off the wagon, drove drunk, and caused an accident that caused Christy to miscarry.  Christy has been plotting revenge on Felicia ever since after she did not press charges against Felicia.

PART 1

INSIDE AN APARTMENT, MAGGIE IS LYING ON A COUCH AND STARTS TO WAKE UP.
Dr. Maggie Wintthrop

MAGGIE:  Ooooh where am I?

MAGGIE COMES TO AND THEN...

MAGGIE:  Oh my God.  You!

SHE SEES A MAN STANDING OVER HER, AND HE PLACES A TEA CUP ON THE COFFEE TABLE.
Rafael Santierro

MAN:  A thank you would have been nice.
MAGGIE:  Rafael!  What?  How?
RAFAEL:  Why don’t you drink this tea, calm down, and I’ll tell you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CORYS, MATT GOES AND ANSWERS THE DOOR, AND BRIANNA WALKS IN WITH A YELLOW RAINCOAT AND AN UMBRELLA.  SHE CLOSES THE UMBRELLA AND PLACES IT NEAR THE DOOR.
Brianna Jameson

Matt Cory

MATT:  Hey.  What took you so long?
BRIANNA:  You know how it is at work.  I was walking out the door, and one of my patients wanted to see me.

MATT TAKES OFF BRIANNA’S RAINCOAT, PLACES IT ON A NEARBY CHAIR, AND HUGS HER TIGHTLY.

BRIANNA:  Oooh.  Someone’s excited.
MATT:  You know it.

THEY GO UPSTAIRS.
-------
AT THE HOSPITAL, DONNA IS WALKING DOWN A HALLWAY AND SHE CATCHES DEVIN IN HIS ROOM OUT OF THE CORNER OF HER LEFT EYE, AS HE RECOVERS FROM HIS BEATING AT THE CLUB.  DONNA WALKS IN.
Devin Hutchins

Donna Love

DONNA:  Devin oh my God is half of Bay City in the hospital?  What happened to you?
DEVIN:  It’s…it’s not that serious.
DONNA:  You have bruises on your face.  Did you get in a fight?
DEVIN:  I got attacked at the club.
DONNA:  No.  Are you okay?
DEVIN:  Yeah I’m gonna be fine.
DONNA:  Who would do something like this?  A competitor?
DEVIN:  No.  I’m gonna open the club on time.
DONNA:  Devin you’re in no condition to be operating a club right now.  Maybe you should push back the opening.
DEVIN:  Donna please.  Nothing’s changed.  Club Freedom is gonna open as scheduled.
DONNA:  I don’t like seeing you like this.
DEVIN:  Thanks for your concern but I’m gonna be fine.  They’re gonna release me in a few hours anyway.

LINDSAY WALKS UP TO THE ROOM, SEES DONNA INSIDE WITH DEVIN THROUGH THE RECTANGLE GLASS, AND LISTENS.
Lindsay Winthrop

DONNA:  Tell you what, why don’t you come to my suite and recuperate there.  I’ll hire the best nurses to take care of you.
DEVIN:  That’s a pretty generous offer.  Why would you do that for me?
DONNA:  I…just don’t want anything to happen to you that’s all.

DONNA LEANS IN AND KISSES DEVIN ON HIS FOREHEAD.  MEANWHILE LINDSAY SIGHS AND WALKS AWAY.

DEVIN:  Thanks but I’m gonna have to decline the offer.
DONNA:  Well if…you need anything I’ll be down the hall.  I’m going to see my granddaughter.
DEVIN:  She’s here?
DONNA:  Yes Bridget collapsed and she’s being held here.
DEVIN:  Wow I hope she’s okay.
DONNA:  I hope so, too.  My family continues to crumble.  Speaking of family, has Felicia been by to see you?
DEVIN:  Yeah grandma came earlier.  She wasn’t very happy when she left.  To tell you the truth I’m kinda worried about her.
------

AT CHRISTY’S SUITE, FELICIA IS SITTING AT A TABLE THAT HAS PILLS AND VODKA ON IT.  CHRISTY IS POINTING A GUN AT FELICIA.
Felicia Gallant Blake

Christy Carson

FELICIA:  I didn’t pick up any medication.  What the hell did you do?
CHRISTY:  You’re right Felicia.  I picked them up.
FELICIA:  You couldn’t have identified as me.
CHRISTY:  But I did.  I looked just like you, at least on the day I picked up your prescription.
FELICIA:  Who wrote it for you?
CHRISTY:  That’s not important.

CHRISTY POINTS THE GUN AT FELICIA.

FELICIA:  What do you plan on doing?
CHRISTY:  It’s not about what I plan on doing, it’s what you’re going to do.

FELICIA LOOKS AT THE PILLS AND BOOZE, AND LOOKS BACK AT CHRISTY.

CHRISTY:  Drink up Felicia.
FELICIA:  You really expect me to take flurazepam and drink this liquor.
CHRISTY:  Don’t you want a drink?  I mean you’ve been craving it since you had dinner with Mitch.
FELICIA:  You don’t know anything about that.
CHRISTY:  Oh but I do.

CHRISTY WALKS CLOSER TO FELICIA AND LEANS IN UNTIL SHE’S NEAR FELICIA’S RIGHT EAR.

CHRISTY:  I helped it along.

CAMERA PAN ON CHRISTY AND FELICIA…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

PART 2

AT THE HOSPITAL, “T” WALKS INTO DEVIN’S ROOM AND THEY CONVERSE.
Antonio "T" Santierro

T:  Did you get the text?
DEVIN:  Yeah I got it.  I’m gonna go ahead.
T:  He didn’t leave you much choice did he?
DEVIN:  He sent goons to attack me.  I don’t want him going after anyone I love.
T:  Same here.  That’s why I just went along with him.  He threatened to hurt my mom.
DEVIN:  Your mom?
T:  Yeah….Dr. Maggie Winthrop.

-------

MAGGIE:  Aren’t you supposed to be in jail?
RAFAEL:  I was released.
MAGGIE:  How come nobody called and told me?
RAFAEL:  Because we’re not married anymore.   They called my parents.
MAGGIE:  And they still didn’t call me.
RAFAEL:  You know they kinda…don’t like you that much.
MAGGIE:  Because we divorced.
RAFAEL:  They’re Catholic.  They don’t believe in that kind of stuff.
MAGGIE:  They need to understand that this isn’t 1940 either.
RAFAEL:   They thought we could work things out.
MAGGIE:  Well I wasn’t gonna wait around after you went away.
RAFAEL:  And they also didn’t like that you dumped Antonio on them.
MAGGIE:  Dumped?  You act as if I treated our son like a trash bag.  I went to Medical School so I can provide a better life for him.
RAFAEL:  You’re Dr. Winthrop now.  I heard.  Congratulations.
MAGGIE:  This isn’t a new thing Rafael.  I’ve been a doctor for a few years now.
RAFAEL:  Right.
MAGGIE:  So…how did you find me?
RAFAEL:  You were in danger at Wood Pines.  I had to get you outta there.  You’re a lot of things but you’re no drug addict.
MAGGIE:  And I’m not.  I had to go to Wood Pines because of that bitch.
RAFAEL:  Brianna?
MAGGIE:  Yes, Brianna Jameson is the most evil, vile woman I’ve had the misfortune of meeting and working with.  She poisoned my iced coffee with fentanyl and I got suspended from the hospital.  How did you know I was there anyway?
RAFAEL:  That’s not important.  I got you to safety didn’t I?.
MAGGIE:  How long have you been in Bay City?  When did you get here?   Why are you here?
RAFAEL:  One question at a time okay.

HE SIGHS.

RAFAEL:  I’ll answer the most important one.  The ‘why’.  This concerns you, too though.
MAGGIE:  Me?  You came back for me?
RAFAEL:  Not necessarily.  I came here for our son.
MAGGIE:  Antonio?  He’s in Bay City?  How come nobody told me?
RAFAEL:  He begged my parents not to tell you.
MAGGIE:  Oh my God is he in some kind of trouble?
RAFAEL:  I’ll know more when I find him.
MAGGIE:  I’m going with you.
RAFAEL:  You can’t go anywhere Maggie.  If they find you, they’re gonna ship you right back to Wood Pines and Brianna will try to finish you off.  You’re safer staying here.
MAGGIE:  If Antonio is in trouble I’m not gonna sit here and do nothing.
RAFAEL:  If you interfere, it’s gonna put you in danger, too.  Let me handle it.
MAGGIE:  The only person I wanna handle is Brianna.
---------

AT THE CORYS, MATT AND BRIANNA ARE IN THE BED…

MATT: Hmmm that felt so good.
BRIANNA:  It always does.
MATT:  John and Sharlene came over here earlier.
BRIANNA:  They did?
MATT:  They were saying the most ridiculous things about you.  Of course I didn’t believe them.
BRIANNA:  What did they say?
MATT:  They actually think that you are the one who attacked Sharlene.
BRIANNA:  You’re absolutely right that is ridiculous.  They must play on the same team as Maggie.
MATT:  Tell me about it.
BRIANNA:   I mean they’re both after me.  I really don’t know what their problem is.
MATT:  I…I shouldn’t have brought it up.
BRIANNA:  I mean all I’ve done was go to work and try to be a good nurse and a good person.
MATT:  Well I defended you because you are a good person.
BRIANNA:  Thank you so much.  At least I know I have someone on my side I can count on.  I’ve never really had that before.
MATT:  You’re by far the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
BRIANNA:  That’s what I am?  A thing?
MATT:  Okay I’ll rephrase it.  You’re the best noun to ever to happen to me.
BRIANNA:  A noun is a person, place or thing.
MATT:  Well then you’re a person, but it doesn’t sound right to say ‘you’re the best person that ever happened to me’.
BRIANNA:  Hmm I’ll let you get away with that one.

BRIANNA LEANS IN AND THEY KISS PASSIONATELY.

-----------------

FELICIA:  That doesn’t make any sense.
CHRISTY:  It makes perfect sense.  I mean think about it.  Ever since that little dinner you had with your husband at Tops you’ve been…wanting a drink?
FELICIA:  How do you know that?
CHRISTY:  Because that’s what the drug was designed to do.  I slipped it in your club soda.
FELICIA:  You did that?  You’re a monster.
CHRISTY:  It was great to watch you fall from your pedestal.
FELICIA:  Karma came to get you didn’t it?  If you…if you hadn’t drugged me, I wouldn’t have gone driving drunk that night, and you probably wouldn’t have lost your baby.

CHRISTY PRESSES THE GUN INTO THE RIGHT SIDE OF FELICIA’S HEAD.

CHRISTY:  Shut up!
FELICIA:  You have nobody to blame but yourself Christy!  Owww!

CHRISTY PRESSES THE GUN DEEPER INTO THE RIGHT SIDE OF FELICIA’S HEAD.

CHRISTY:  You acted irresponsibly and you killed my baby!
FELICIA:  And you dropped the charges.

CHRISTY PUTS DOWN A PEN AND A PIECE OF PAPER ON THE TABLE.

CHRISTY:  I mean…Rachel disowned you as a friend, Lorna left town, and where’s your husband?  Maybe he’s with Sharlene right now, and to top it all off, your extreme guilt about killing my baby.  You just can’t take it anymore, so you’ve…decided to end it all.
FELICIA:  I’m not going along with this.
CHRISTY:  You see Felicia that’s the wrong answer.  You are gonna write your suicide note, you are gonna take the flurazepam and you are gonna drink the vodka!
FELICIA:  And if I don’t.
CHRISTY:  The safety of others depends on it.  I could find Jenna and kill her; I could do the same to Lorna and your grandson.  So it’s either gonna be them…or you.
FELICIA:  Leave my family out of this!  Your gripe is with me.
CHRISTY:  And I’d like it to stay that way.

CHRISTY PRESSES THE GUN AGAINST FELICIA’S HEAD AGAIN.

CHRISTY:  Take the pills Felicia.  It’s the only way you’re gonna protect your family.
FELICIA:  How do I know you’re not gonna hurt them anyway?
CHRISTY:  You don’t.
FELICIA:  You don’t have to do this Christy.  You can just leave Bay City and no-one would be the wiser.  I…I won’t tell anybody what happened.
CHRISTY:  You killed my baby!  You stopped me from raising a child.  Pressing charges for DUI would have been way too easy, now take the damned pills!

FELICIA HESITATES, THEN CHRISTY OPENS THE BOTTLE AND POURS THE PILLS ON THE TABLE.

CHRISTY:  Take em!

CHRISTY COCKS THE TRIGGER.

FELICIA:  Alright.  Alright.

FELICIA TAKES TWO PILLS AND PUTS THEM IN HER MOUTH.

CHRISTY:  Take four and swallow them.

FELICIA DOES SO AND THEN…

CHRISTY:  Open your mouth and lift your tongue.

SHE LOOKS INSIDE FELICIA’S MOUTH.

CHRISTY:  Good, now you’re gonna need something to wash them down with.
FELICIA:  Christy please I’m begging you.  You don’t have to do this.
CHRISTY:  My baby didn’t get a chance to beg for its life when you took it.  Stop stalling and open the vodka.
FELICIA:  May I…have a glass?
CHRISTY:  No!  You’re gonna do what most of you drunks do and drink it straight from the bottle!

FELICIA SLOWLY OPENS THE BOTTLE AS CHRISTY CLOSELY SUPERVISES WHILE POINTING THE GUN AT FELICIA.  FELICIA LOOKS UP AT CHRISTY.

CHRISTY:  What are you waiting for?  Drink!

FELICIA TAKES A GOOD SWIG OF VODKA.  SHE STOPS AND WINCES.

FELICIA:  That burns.
CHRISTY:  You’re not finished yet!

FELICIA DRINKS SOME MORE VODKA AND PUTS THE BOTTLE DOWN.

FELICIA:  Please you…you don’t wanna do this.
CHRISTY:  I didn’t do anything.  You might wanna…get over to the couch so you can die comfortably.
FELICIA:  How…noble…of you.
CHRISTY:  Oh it’s starting to work.  Well, Felicia I’ve gotta get going.  When you get to hell, give Douglas and James kisses for me would ya?

CHRISTY LEAVES AS FELICIA LOOKS AT HER PURSE ON THE COUCH, AND HER CELL PHONE JUTTING OUT OF IT.

FELICIA:  Help.  Somebody help.

FELICIA TRIES TO GET UP BUT SHE FALLS TO THE FLOOR, WEAKENED BY THE COMBINATION OF THE DRUGS AND VODKA.  SHE CRAWLS TO THE COUCH WITH WHAT LITTLE STRENGTH SHE HAS LEFT, AND GETS HER HANDS ON THE PHONE. HOWEVER, SHE RUNS OUT OF STRENGTH, DROPS THE PHONE, FALLS ON THE FLOOR, AND BECOMES UNCONSCIOUS.

FREEZE FRAME ON FELICIA...SLOW FADE OUT...END OF 300

  1. Ooooo some fast acting drugs in there! I liked their confrontation, but I do wish Christy had stuck around to taunt Felicia some more as she slipped under, but great scenes nonetheless. Felicia is in major danger! The dialogue was great.

Maggie is safe! I already like her rapport with her ex-, and you made the connection with her son and ex-husband easy to follow. I'm instantly invested in them both. Great work. I'm curious to know how Rafael knows about what's been happening with Maggie, but I'm sure that'll be explained soon.

Lindsay once again walking in at the wrong moment, she knows something is going on with Devin and Donna, though it's more minor than she believes. Love the tension there and the typical soap missed connection at play. Great stuff.

Amazing episode yet again. This is exciting stuff!
