PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD:

·         Charlie came into the hospital to talk to Dr. Mason about why she was not hired for the PR internship.  She began having stomach pains.  Lindsay found her and took her cousin Charlie to an exam room

·         Kirkland is wrestling with telling the truth to his wife Charlie about his affair with Eric Stenbeck.

·         Bridget McKinnon was recently diagnosed with chlamydia, but she really does not have the disease.  Her twin sister, Michele, switched Bridget’s tests with someone else’s.  Cory Hutchins broke up with Bridget after he tested negative for chlamydia.

PART 1
Charlie Winthrop Harrison

Lindsay Winthrop

DR. DAVIDSON:  Well it’s definitely something can cause nausea.
CHARLIE:  Okay.  I guess you can give me an antacid and I can go home.
DR. DAVIDSON:  It’s not gonna be quite that simple Mrs. Harrison.
CHARLIE:  Why?  Is it something more serious?
DR. DAVIDSON:  No.  Not even close.  As a matter of fact congratulations are in order.
LINDSAY:  Oh my God.
CHARLIE:  Are you…are you about to tell me that I’m…
DR. DAVIDSON:  Yep…you’re pregnant.  Congrats again.
LINDSAY:  You hear that Charlie.  You’re pregnant.  You and Kirkland are gonna be parents.  That’s wonderful!  You don’t…seem all that enthused.
CHARLIE:  Oh I am believe me.  Today has been so loaded.  That was the last thing I was expecting.
LINDSAY:  Well you gotta go home and tell Kirkland.

AT THE CENTER, VICKY IS SITTING AT A TABLE WITH HER SONS KIRKLAND AND STEVEN
Vicky Hudson

Kirkland Harrison

Dr. Steven Frame

KIRKLAND:  Mom all you were doing was trying to protect your marriage.
STEVEN:  It takes two to break up a relationship.  It wasn’t all your fault.
VICKY:  I should have trusted Jake more.  I should have…had faith in our love for each other.
STEVEN:  It’s water under the bridge now.  You and Jake had a great life together.
VICKY:  You know I…look at both of you…how close you two have always been.  I just wish your sisters would be the same way.

AT THE CORYS, RACHEL IS IN THE LIVING ROOM ON HER LAPTOP WHEN CORY WALKS IN.
Rachel Hutchins

Cory Hutchins

RACHEL:  Hi sweetheart.  Are you headed out?
CORY:  Yeah gonna go for a run on the grounds.
RACHEL:  Okay be safe.

CORY TURNS AROUND TO WALK AWAY.

RACHEL:  Honey are you gonna be able to join us for dinner tonight?
CORY:  Yeah I guess I…I will.
RACHEL:  That’s great.  I think it’ll make you feel better to be around family.
CORY:  Okay. I’ll be back.

CORY WALKS THROUGH THE FOYER AND OPENS THE FRONT DOOR.
Michele McKinnon

CORY:  Michele.
MICHELE:  Hi uh.  Looks like you’re headed out.
CORY:  Yeah I’m gonna go for a run.  Lizzie’s not here.
MICHELE:  I didn’t come to see Elizabeth.  I came to see you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BACK AT THE CENTER, VICKY CONTINUES HER CONVERSATION WITH STEVEN AND KIRKLAND…

VICKY:  All they do is fight.  I don’t know how much worse it’s gonna get.
KIRKLAND:  I wonder the same thing.  When we were at the hospital when Aunt Marley had her baby I had to break them up.
STEVEN:  So I take it Bridget isn’t seeing Dr. Bingham.
VICKY:  As far as I know she isn’t.  Michele is and she says it’s really helped her.
STEVEN:  That’s good.  I’m glad to hear that.  Dr. Bingham is an excellent psychiatrist.
VICKY:  You can lead the horse to the water.
KIRKLAND:  Mom you…you are kinda hard on Bridget though.
VICKY:  I am not.
STEVEN:  He’s got a point.
VICKY:  No I just think that she should take responsibility for her actions.  I can’t believe that everybody wants to coddle her even after all that she’s done.

AT DONNA’S SUITE, BRIDGET IS IN THE LIVING ROOM SITTING ON THE COUCH WHEN DONNA WALKS IN.
Donna Love
Bridget McKinnon

DONNA:  How long are you going to sit around and be sad about Cory?
BRIDGET:  How can you even ask me that?  I mean weren’t you said when you broke up with grandpa?
DONNA:  Excuse me young lady.  We are not talking about my love life.  I’m trying to help you get out of these doldrums.
BRIDGET:  Cory just…dumped me like I was yesterday’s garbage.
DONNA:  He thinks that you cheated on him.
BRIDGET:  I didn’t!

DONNA SITS NEXT TO BRIDGET ON THE COUCH.

DONNA:  I think…I think it’s good that this happened.
BRIDGET:  Oh my God really?
DONNA:  You may not feel that way right now but…if Cory really loved you, he would not have just ended things that abruptly.  He would have believed you like we do.
BRIDGET:  Mom doesn’t.
DONNA:  I don’t know what Victoria’s problem is.
BRIDGET:  She just thinks the worst of me all the time.
DONNA:  Well sweetheart, you have to try to move on okay.  You’re still young.  There are plenty of other seals in the sea.
BRIDGET:  Fish, grandma.  It’s fish.
DONNA:  Whatever.  Maybe you should go for a walk in the park or something.  All of us could use some fresh air at one time or another right?
BRIDGET:  I guess so.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEVEN:  You’ve kind of…favored Michele over Bridget.
VICKY:  I can’t believe you two are sitting here telling me this!   Are you suggesting that I love Michele more than I love Bridget?

CAMERA PAN ON VICKY…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

KIRKLAND:  No of course not mom.
STEVEN:  It comes across that way.
VICKY:  So now you’re saying I was a bad mother to my daughters.
STEVEN:  You’re taking this way out of proportion.
VICKY:  I must have been, I mean, look who you’re dating.
STEVEN:  Joy has nothing to do with this.
VICKY:  Of course she does.  They say men date women that are most like their mother.  I mean I was…a schemer back in the day, and Joy’s the same way.
KIRKLAND:  Mom---
STEVEN:  No let her talk.  She’s finally realizing why she’s so against my relationship with Joy, but she’s failing to correlate this to the way she feels about Bridget.
VICKY:  Joy Kramer is going to hurt you.  You could do a lot better than her.

VICKY GETS UP AND PUSHES HER CHAIR TO THE TABLE.

VICKY:  I’ve heard it all before.  Bridget is just like me and yada yada yada.  Whatever consequences Bridget suffers, she brings on herself.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BACK AT THE CORY ESTATE, CORY AND MICHELE ARE OUTSIDE AT THE FRONT DOOR.

MICHELE:  I…heard about what happened to Bridget.  My mom told me.
CORY:  Yeah.  She cheated on me.
MICHELE:  I’m so sorry.  I know you two have gotten so much closer, especially since you thought I was dead.
CORY:  She felt tremendous guilt over what happened at the prom.
MICHELE:  Look I…I didn’t come here to talk about Bridget.  I came to see how you were doing.  I know it must be difficult to deal with.
CORY:  I mean I never thought in a million years that your sister would cheat on me.
MICHELE:  Well, after what happened at the prom, you know she’s capable of just about anything.
CORY:  I should have known about that.  You know your grandmother came by.
MICHELE:  Really?  What did she say?
CORY:  She said some mean things to me.
MICHELE:  Are you serious?
CORY:  She actually thought I was the one who gave Bridget chlamydia.
MICHELE:  Did you get tested?
CORY:  Yeah I was negative.
MICHELE:  Oh.
CORY:  Yeah Donna and my mom got into an argument.
MICHELE:  Wow I…I had no idea.
CORY:  She blamed me for you and your sister fighting.
MICHELE:  Well you and I both know that’s not the case.
CORY:  You know I wish it could go back to the way it was when we were kids.  You and Bridget were practically inseparable.
MICHELE:  We…were at one point.  But those days are over.
CORY:  Yeah I…guess.  Maybe Donna was right.  Maybe I’m the reason that you two are fighting.  I never meant for any of that.

MICHELE PUTS HER RIGHT HAND ON CORY’S LEFT ARM.

MICHELE:  No don’t you say that.  You are not responsible for Bridget and what she did, and you’re definitely not responsible for her getting chlamydia.  She brought this all on herself.

CORY NODS HIS HEAD.  CORY POINTS HIS THUMB OVER HIS RIGHT SHOULDER.

CORY:  I’m gonna…go for my run.
MICHELE:  Okay.  Listen…I’m here for you okay.  If you need someone to talk to.
CORY:  You got it.

THEY HUG AND CORY GOES TO MICHELE’S LEFT AS MICHELE FACES THE FRONT DOOR OF THE CORYS.  SHE SMILES, THEN SUDDENLY, BRIDGET EMERGES FROM BEHIND.

BRIDGET:  You just couldn’t wait to get your hands on him could you?

MICHELE TURNS AROUND AND FACES BRIDGET.

  1. Stds are on the rise and its good to see u write on a topical story, but its so vicious what Michelle is going to bridget. But when the truth comes out on michelles misdeeds she will have a lot to answer for and itll b interesting to see if bridget can forgive her mother.

Lindsay is pregnant and that certainely will throw a monkey wrench into that story.

Vicky was vicky per usual and donna had a funny line

  2. I liked this episode. There's a lot coming and that tension is so close to boiling over. What a great cliffhanger.

Vicky is being her self centered self yet again, making everyone else's situations about her. I guess it's a hard habit to break over years of doing it, and every so often that part of her comes to the surface.

I really liked how Steven and Kirkland tried to focus Vicky while trying to resolve their own feelings, though Steven started to boil over once Vicky came for Joy.

Cory and Michele have a tender moment. I liked how you reminded us that there could still be a spark between them, but of course, Michele being exposed for switching Bridget's tests will destroy any chance of that. Bridget is onto Michele and I can't wait for that confrontation.

Charlie's pregnancy is, of course, going to throw a wrench into Kirkland's situation even more than already is. I'm curious to know what he decides to do once Charlie shares her news with him!

    Excellent work, Cary!
