AT CASS AND TYRONE’S OFFICE...TYRONE IS AT HIS DESK NEAR THE DOOR, AND ACROSS THE OFFICE CASS IS AT HIS DESK. TYRONE IS ON HIS OFFICE PHONE.
Stephen Schnetzer as Cass Winthrop |
Henry Simmons as Tyrone Montgomery |
TYRONE: Hey how’s it going over there?...I didn’t think so. I’m gonna have to talk to her. Where are you and Vicky now? Okay I’ll come there and we’ll discuss a strategy. Thanks Donna.
TYRONE HANGS UP, OPENS UP A PURPLE MANILA FOLDER ON HIS DESK, AND LOOKS AT THE DIVORCE DECREE THAT FRANKIE GAVE HIM. HE PUTS IT DOWN, AND GRABS HIS SPORTCOAT.
CASS: Everything okay?
TYRONE (sighs): I hope so. I gotta go check on Marley. She hasn’t been the same since Joy tried to kidnap our baby from the hospital.
CASS: Wow man I’m sorry to hear that. You go. Go be with Marley. I got things here.
TYRONE: Thanks.
TYRONE LEAVES THE OFFICE AND FRANKIE MEETS HIM AT THE DOOR.
FRANKIE: Hey Tyrone.
TYRONE: Hey Frankie. I was just leaving.
FRANKIE: Okay.
CASS: Hey there.
FRANKIE: Hi honey.
CASS: Good to see ya. My fiancee.
FRANKIE: I love the sound of that.
CASS: Hey you wanna go grab some lunch or something?
FRANKIE: No I...I’m not hungry. I need to talk to you about your daughter.
CASS: Is everything okay with Charlie?
FRANKIE: Charlie’s fine. She’s at her interview with Dr. Mason today. She actually should be finished by now.
CASS: So if it’s not Charlie it’s…
FRANKIE: Maggie.

AT THE HOSPITAL, MITCH WALKS BY GREGORY’S ROOM, LOOKS INSIDE THE RECTANGULAR GLASS ON THE DOOR, AND LEAVES WHILE MAGGIE IS IN THE ROOM HOLDING HER TABLET WITH LINDSAY. GREGORY IS SITTING IN A WHEELCHAIR WITH LINDSAY AT THE BACK READY TO PUSH.
Lindsay Hartley as Dr. Maggie Winthrop |
Kate Mansi as Lindsay Winthrop |
Robert Scott Wilson as Gregory Hudson |
MAGGIE: Well all you have to do is sign this on the tablet and you’ll be ready to be discharged.
GREGORY: Thank you Dr. Winthrop.
LINDSAY: Yeah thank you. I’ll make sure he is well taken care of.
MAGGIE: I’m sure you will.
MAGGIE SHOWS HIM THE TABLET SCREEN. GREGORY SIGNS IT WITH HIS FINGER, AND HITS ENTER.
MAGGIE: Well you can go. It’s on the record.
LINDSAY: It’s amazing how the hospital is using this technology now.
MAGGIE: It definitely saves a lot of time on paperwork. And by the way, your prescription for that painkiller will be ready by the time you hit the hospital entrance, so you can just go pick it up. I made sure it was a high dosage so it won’t be habit forming. Just take it easy and you will be fine.
GREGORY: Thanks again. Appreciate it.
MAGGIE: You two have a great day.
GREGORY: Wait a minute Dr. Winthrop. What about the other accident victim? Is she okay?
----
IN CHRISTY’S ROOM, CHRISTY IS LYING DOWN ON HER NEW BED WHEN GRANT WALKS IN WITH FLOWERS.
Robin Mattson as Christy Carson |
Mark Pinter as Grant Harrison |
CHRISTY: Grant? What are you doing here?
GRANT: I heard about what happened.
CHRISTY: I’m surprised to see you.
GRANT: Where do I put these?
CHRISTY: Right over there on the table.
GRANT PULLS UP A CHAIR AND SITS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF CHRISTY’S BED WHILE CHRISTY SITS UP. MEANWHILE, MITCH WALKS UP TO THE DOOR ON THE OUTSIDE AND LISTENS...
William Espy as Mitch Blake |
GRANT: For what it’s worth I’m sorry about the accident.
CHRISTY: Well if you heard about the accident you probably suspected that I lost the baby.
GRANT: Wow. I may have wanted you out of town but I never wanted you to get into an accident, and I never would have wanted you to lose your baby.
CHRISTY (with a half smile): Thank you. I...I don’t know what to say.
GRANT: That’s a first. You’re always retorting with a sarcastic barb.
CHRISTY: You know, Grant, I...I really wanted this baby. I really wanted to be a mother. I wanted to get it right this time. I didn’t have a chance to raise Eric. I know Cass didn’t want it. A girl. I would have loved to have a girl. I would have brushed her hair; saw her off to school; talk to her about men...or what I knew about men. I wanted my child to have better than me; to be better than me. You know?
GRANT: I want the same for Kirkland.
GRANT PENSIVELY PUTS HIS LEFT HAND ON CHRISTY’S RIGHT HAND TO CONSOLE HER.
CHRISTY: As sad as I feel about losing my baby, I’m angry at the person responsible for the accident. Hey can you...can you get any details as to how this accident happened?
GRANT: You didn’t see anything?
CHRISTY: No it was dark. The last thing I remember is a car heading straight for me. Whoever hit me killed my baby.
MITCH LEAVES..

AT THE POLICE STATION, TONI IS IN HER OFFICE AND DANTE CARLINO WALKS IN.
Rhonda Ross Kendrick as Toni Burrell |
John DeLuca as Dante Carlino |
TONI: So what’s the update?
DANTE: The crew searched the entire ravine area. There were no bodies.
TONI: Thank God nobody was hurt.
DANTE: But we did recover something.
TONI: And what would that be?
DANTE: The VIN number. The car is registered to Felicia Gallant.
----
AT THE BLAKES, FELICIA IS LYING ON THE LIVING ROOM COUCH AND SHE STARTS TO WAKE UP. SHE LOOKS AND SEES A RED DRINK ON THE TABLE. DEVIN IS SITTING ON AN ADJACENT CHAIR.
Linda Dano as Felicia Gallant Blake |
Billy Flynn as Devin Lucas Hutchins |
FELICIA: What? What is this?
DEVIN: A bloody Mary.
FELICIA: I don’t need a bloody Mary.
DEVIN: Yeah you do grandma.
FELICIA: I gotta make a phone call...
DEVIN: Not yet.
FELICIA: What do you mean? I had a drink at Tops last night. The last thing I remember was waking up at Cedars Hospital.
FELICIA FLASHES BACK TO THE NIGHT OF THE ACCIDENT. SHE IS IN A HOSPITAL ROOM AT CEDARS HOSPITAL AND MITCH IS SITTING NEXT TO HER BED WHILE DEVIN STANDS NEAR THE DOOR. FELICIA WAKES UP.
FELICIA: What happened? How did I get here?
MITCH LOOKS BACK AT DEVIN.
CAMERA PAN ON FELICIA...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

PART 2
CASS AND TYRONE’S OFFICE…
CASS: Maggie. Oh God what’s going on?
FRANKIE: She...approached me and asked me to investigate someone.
CASS: Why would she do that?
FRANKIE: I think she’s jealous.
CASS: Jealous? Of what?
FRANKIE: It’s of whom? She doesn’t want Matt dating that new nurse at the hospital.
CASS: You mean the one that saved Tyrone and Marley’s baby from being kidnapped?
FRANKIE: Yes.
CASS: And she wants you to look into her background.
FRANKIE: I mean I could but...I would have to have a legitimate reason. It can’t be because she’s trying to get dirt on the competition.
CASS: Right. I guess not, but what if Maggie’s on to something? Maybe this nurse really isn’t on the up and up.
FRANKIE: And maybe Maggie’s wrong. I declined to do an investigation on her.
----
AT THE HOSPITAL, MAGGIE WALKS WITH HER TABLET TO THE NURSE’S STATION. SHE LOOKS ON THE SCREEN THAT SHOWS A REMINDER FOR HER TO LOCK HER TABLET. SUDDENLY THERE’S AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE P.A. SYSTEM.
ANNOUNCER (V.O.): Code blue in Room 426. Code blue in Room 426.
MAGGIE: Oh no.
MAGGIE PLACES HER TABLET ON THE NURSE’S STATION COUNTER AND RUNS AWAY. BRIANNA
COMES ALONG, LOOKS TO HER RIGHT AND HER LEFT, AND PICKS UP MAGGIE’S TABLET. BRIANNA TAPS ON THE DROP DOWN MENU AND TAPS ON THE “GREGORY HUDSON” TAB AND SWIPES TO HIS PAINKILLER MEDICATION. SHE LOWERS THE DOSAGE FROM 80 MG TO 10 MG, THEN PUTS IT DOWN.
Wendy Moniz as Brianna/Ellen |
BRIANNA: Jackpot.
-------------------------
MEANWHILE, GRANT IS WITH CHRISTY IN CHRISTY’S ROOM.
GRANT: I’m sure you’ll find out who did it.
CHRISTY: And they’re gonna pay. Until then, I’ll just grieve for my baby.
GRANT: Listen if you...if you need to stay at the suite a little while Ionger I...I’ll take care of everything.
CHRISTY: Thank you so much for that.
GRANT: You’re welcome. I guess I’ll be leaving…
CHRISTY: Hey...any leads on finding your son?
GRANT: No new leads, and the ones we kinda had are cold as ice.
CHRISTY: Carl Hutchins gotcha one last time didn’t he?
GRANT: I suppose he did. He must be in the depths of hell laughing at me; wondering whether I really have a son out there, or if he just lead me on some wild goose chase.
CHRISTY: I’m sorry about that. Guess in a way we both lost a child.
GRANT: I guess so. See ya.
----
MEANWHILE, LINDSAY IS SLOWLY PUSHING GREGORY IN HIS WHEELCHAIR DOWN THE HALL.
GREGORY: Come on Linds I can walk. It’s not like I have a broken leg or anything.
LINDSAY: Dr. Winthrop said take it easy so I’m gonna make sure you do.
GREGORY: I’m not a baby.
LINDSAY: But I like taking care of you.
GREGORY: I know but…
LINDSAY STOPS THE WHEELCHAIR AND BENDS FORWARD TO GREGORY’S LEFT CHEEK.
LINDSAY: Well then let me do Mister strong man. Okay?
GREGORY (smliing): Hmmm.
LINDSAY KISSES HIM ON THAT LEFT CHEEK AND CONTINUES TO PUSH HIM. MEANWHILE, GRANT IS SLOWLY WALKING DOWN THE HALLWAY LOOKING ON HIS PHONE, AND HE SEES A TEXT.
GRANT: From Kelsey?
THE TEXT READS: You need to come see your father ASAP.
AS HE WALKS LOOKING DOWN AT HIS PHONE, LINDSAY ACCIDENTALLY PUSHES THE WHEELCHAIR INTO GRANT.
GRANT: Hey watch where you’re going! Gregory? What are you doing here? Were you in that accident last night?
LINDSAY: Sorry.
GREGORY: Don’t be Linds. He deserves a hell of a lot more than a bumping into.
GRANT: What?
LINDSAY: Gregory what are you talking about?
GREGORY: If you see this guy walking down the street, turn around and walk the other way.
LINDSAY: I don’t understand.
GRANT: Gregory I’ve never done anything to you.
GREGORY: And I’m not gonna let you. Not me; not my parents, or Lindsay.
LINDSAY: Gregory--
GREGORY: He’s a killer, and an arsonist. Let’s get away before he shoots us in the back, or burns our house down.
LINDSAY PUSHES THE WHEELCHAIR AROUND GRANT.
----
AT THE POLICE STATION, TONI CONTINUES TO COMMISERATE WITH DANTE IN HER OFFICE…
TONI: Felicia Gallant? I can’t believe she would…
DANTE: Doesn’t seem like it.
TONI: No reports of the car being stolen?
DANTE: No.
TONI (shaking her head): This....this isn’t like her. What was she doing out there? How did her car get down there if nobody was…?
DANTE: The guard rail was bent.
TONI: So it had to have been pushed.
DANTE: She wasn’t admitted to Bay City Medical Center though.
TONI: Check and see if she was admitted to any of the other area hospitals.
DANTE: I’m on it.
----
AT THE BLAKES, DEVIN LEANS IN WITH CONCERN AND FOCUSES ON FELICIA’S FACE.
DEVIN: Grandma do you remember anything that happened after you took a drink?
FELICIA CONTINUES TO FLASHBACK TO BEING IN CEDARS HOSPITAL AFTER THE ACCIDENT.
FELICIA IS LYING IN THE HOSPITAL BED WITH MITCH AT HER SIDE, AND DEVIN AT THE DOOR.
FELICIA: Can someone answer me? How did I get here? What happened?
DEVIN: Should I get Dr. Bauer?
MITCH: Yeah go ahead.
DEVIN LEAVES THE ROOM LEAVING MITCH AND FELICIA ALONE.
FELICIA: What is it?
MITCH: You...got drunk.
FELICIA: The last thing I remember is being at Tops after...after I saw you and Sharlene hugging in the Center. You could have told me that you were coming back to town early.
MITCH: I wanted to surprise you. I planned a romantic dinner for us, but Devin came and gave me your cell phone. You dropped it at Tops.
FELICIA: What...what else happened? How did I end up in the hospital?
MITCH: You went for a drive on Route 17...and you got into an accident.
FELICIA: No...no I would never have done. I would never drink and drive.
MITCH: But you did, and you crashed your car.
FELICIA (becoming distraught): No...I...I didn’t hurt anyone right?
MITCH HESITATES THEN…
MITCH: Yeah. Two other people were hurt.
FELICIA: Who?
MITCH: Gregory Hudson and Christy Carson.
FELICIA (shaking her head): No...I didn’t do that...no.
FELICIA FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT.
FELICIA: I have to call the police.
DEVIN: No. We got rid of the evidence remember. They’ll never find out it was you. The car exploded in the ravine.
FELICIA: What about Christy? What about Gregory?
DEVIN: Mitch went to the hospital to see about them.
FELICIA: I’m gonna turn myself in.
DEVIN: No grandma you can’t do that. A DUI would damage your career.
FELICIA: I hurt innocent people. I have to tell the police.
MITCH COMES IN.
FELICIA: Mitch, Devin told me you went to the hospital. Is Christy okay? Is Gregory okay?
MITCH: They’re fine.
FELICIA: Were they….hurt badly?
MITCH: No they weren’t hurt, but…
FELICIA: But what? Christy...oh no…
MITCH: She lost her baby.
FELICIA PUTS HER HANDS ON HER FACE IN SHAME AND DROPS HER HANDS.
FELICIA: Oh God. I don’t care what you two say. I’m turning myself in to the police...today.
FREEZE FRAME ON FELICIA...SLOW FADE OUT...END OF EPISODE 254
My favorite storyline right now is the Felicia one. You chose from history and revamped it correctly. Soaps on TV can't seem to do that today. Also, I love how the aftermath of the car accidents is the center of the show right now. But, the car accidents have seem to become the background for other stories and I love when soaps do stuff like that! Another great episode !!
ReplyDeleteThanks. Casey
DeleteA very emotional episode. Very character-driven and the right touches of action in there.
ReplyDeleteI liked Mitch making the rounds, checking in on the people Felicia hit. You really touched on a lot of the stories and I love how the hospital is creating these natural interactions for everyone.
Grant softening to Christy again, but I suspect he wants something from her still. Grant's never that benevolent on his own. He still hasn't found his son. Can't wait for him to put that together.
Frankie, get on Brianna! I really like that Maggie's scheming past is making this hard for her to get at Brianna. People's mistrust in her complicates the story. A very smart choice. Brianna's not only going to mess with Maggie, but Gregory also. This won't end well.
Felicia's scenes are heartbreaking, as well. Her emotion and internal conflict are so real, you did a great job with that. I wonder how far Mitch and Devin will go to protect Felicia from turning herself in. Great ending! Great episode!
Great scene with Grant and Christy. In his own way he cares and it was nice seeing that softer side to him. They have a good yet strange relationship. Christy is out for revenge and Id hate to see what she will do to FEFE but she also has to realize she brought this on her self.
ReplyDeleteBrianna plans is genius. SHes gonna continue her plot against the hudson's and get maggie out the way in one key stroke. Poor greg on the receiving end of BRiannas plan. She's really been at him.
Im surprised it[s Cass and not frankie that is suspicious of Bri.
