PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD:

·         In the early 90s, Christy Carson met Cass through college friend Frankie Frame, and became obsessed with him.  She poisoned her husband Douglas Carson to death, and framed Frankie for the murder.  Christy also tried to poison Cass and was later sent to prison.  Christy blackmailed Grant Harrison into calling in a favor to the Governor’s office and she was pardoned.  Christy, still obsessed with Cass, wanted to get pregnant with Cass’s baby.  After her release, Christy started receiving fertility treatments.  She then had Brianna kidnap Maggie and hold her as leverage to make Cass give her a sperm sample.  Christy got pregnant, but lost the baby after a three car accident caused by Felicia.

·         Grant wants Paulina to marry him, and he blackmailed Jack Snyder into leaving Bay City.  Jack and Paulina were getting involved.  Grant also knows that Jack is Remy’s father.

·         Michele McKinnon hacked into the Bay City Medical Center mainframe and switched Bridget’s test with another patient’s test that tested positive for chlamydia.  Bridget was “diagnosed” with chlamydia.  She has accused her boyfriend Cory Hutchins of cheating on her and giving her chlamydia.

PART 1

AT GRANT’S HOUSE, GRANT OPENS THE DOOR AND THERE’S CHRISTY.

GRANT SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND CHRISTY.

GRANT:  What’s this about?

CHRISTY:  Gee I’m happy to see you, too.

GRANT:  There are errands that I have to run so if you’ll excuse me.

CHRISTY:  Come on you don’t have time for an old friend?

GRANT:  We’re friends?

CHRISTY:  Grant I…I don’t have anyone else.  My son wants nothing to do with me.

GRANT:  I’m sorry, maybe you should consider counseling now I have…

CHRISTY:  Where are you in a hurry to get to?  Paulina perhaps?

JAKE IS STANDING IN FRONT OF A DOOR WHEN PAULINA OPENS IT.

PAULINA SHUTS THE DOOR AFTER JAKE WALKS IN.

PAULINA:  Have you talked to Bridget since we visited?

JAKE:  No.

PAULINA:  Maybe we should go back over there and check on her.  She needs us.

JAKE:  You’re right.  I mean of all the things that have happened to the girls, Bridget has this happen to her.

PAULINA:  I don’t understand.  It’s gotta be Cory.  He’s the one who had to have given this to her.  They had gotten so close.  How could he have done this to her?

JAKE:  I dunno.  I think the best thing we can do is support Bridget right now.

AT BAY CITY CENTER, ELIZABETH IS SITTING AT A TABLE AND MICHELE WALKS UP AND SITS ACROSS FROM HER.

MICHELE:  Wellllllll, I went to my grandmother’s house last night.

ELIZABETH:  Annnd?

MICHELE:  I was about to leave and I…I heard Bridget and Cory arguing.

ELIZABETH:  Ooooh I wonder what came of that.

MICHELE:  I was practically a fly on the wall and I heard everything.  I mean I couldn’t have planned it better.

ELIZABETH:  Are they gonna break up?

MICHELE:  After Cory gets tested for chlamydia, I’m two hundred percent that they will.

ELIZABETH:  So Cory knows that Bridget has a S.T.I.?

MICHELE:  Yep.  In fact they’re probably at the hospital now.

ELIZABETH:  They both went?

MICHELE (smiling):  Sure did?

AT THE HOSPITAL, BRIDGET IS SITTING ON A CUSHIONED BENCH IN THE HALL AND CORY WALKS UP TO HER.

CORY:  I had them put a rush on it.  We’ll know before we leave the hospital.

CAMERA PAN ON CORY…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

GRANT:  No.

CHRISTY:  So after all this time you haven’t made any progress with Miss Muffet?

GRANT:  That’s not what I said.

CHRISTY:  I gave you all the ammunition you needed to break up Jack and Paulina.

GRANT:  And that’s exactly what I did.

CHRISTY:  So then why aren’t you two on your way to the altar?

GRANT:  She…she hasn’t…accepted my proposal yet.

CHRISTY:  You actually popped the question?  And you still don’t have an answer?

GRANT:  I’ve given her some time.

CHRISTY:  Grant you’re not that stupid are you?  The longer you wait, the chances of her saying no increase.  I bet she’s getting closer to Jake every day.  I think you need strike fast, or you will be pushed right out of the picture.

GRANT:  She’ll accept.  She doesn’t want anything to happen to Jack.

CHRISTY:  I guess I can agree with that, especially since he’s her daughter’s father. 

GRANT:  And she has no idea.  I think she’ll come to her senses soon enough, and this time Jake won’t get in the way.

JAKE:  So…umm…have you talked to Grant?

PAULINA:  No not yet. 

JAKE:  Well I think you need to give him an answer.

PAULINA:  It’s very surprising that you are pushing to marry Grant.

JAKE:  You have to get that blackmail material.

PAULINA:  There’s gotta be another way Jake.

JAKE:  What do you suggest we do?  Break in and ransack his house?

PAULINA:  That doesn’t sound like a bad idea.

JAKE:  Now you know we can’t do that.

PAULINA:  So you really think that the only way I can get Grant off of Jack’s back is by marrying him?

JAKE HAS A FLASHBACK TO (EPISODE 282)

VICKY:  Anyone sitting here?

BRADLEY:  I’m looking at you hoping that you’d be.

VICKY:  I thought you’d never ask.

FROM A SHORT DISTANCE, JAKE OBSERVES THEM.

JAKE FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT…

JAKE:  Of course I don’t want that!  I don’t want you marrying that sociopath!  But if you want him to stop blackmailing Jack, then that’s…that’s the way we have to go.

PAULINA:  I don’t want that either.

JAKE:  The object of the game to get closer to Grant so you can get the material and destroy it.

PAULINA:  So I become Paulina Harrison, get rid of all of the blackmail and then what?

JAKE:  Well…when we get to that bridge…

PAULINA:  Look I don’t wanna talk about Grant.  We’re going to see your daughter.  We need to focus on her.

ELIZABETH:  Wow you’re right.  This is…really working out.

MICHELE:  Yep.

ELIZABETH:  I kinda feel bad for my brother though.

MICHELE:  I don’t want him to be hurt either.  I don’t want anyone to be hurt. 

ELIZABETH:  Not even Bridget?

MICHELE:  I want Bridget to feel…everything I felt on prom night.  She was working to ruin my life, and now…I wanna ruin hers.  This isn’t about me and Cory.

ELIZABETH:  So what if Cory finds out what you’ve done?  Do you think he’ll ever forgive you?  You say that this isn’t about him but…this could mess up your friendship.

MICHELE:  Come on Lizzie I don’t wanna think about things like that right now.  All I want…is for Bridget to suffer!

ELIZABETH:  And I want my brother to be away from her.

MICHELE:  So you shouldn’t feel bad for anyone.  Cory will be hurt for a short while, but he’ll realize he is better off without my sister, and she’ll get a taste of her own medicine.

BRIDGET:  You think that I slept with someone else.

CORY:  And you think that I slept with someone else.  I mean isn’t that why we’re here?

BRIDGET:  You don’t believe me.  I never cheated on you.  I would never cheat on you.

CORY:  Then how else did you get diagnosed with chlamydia?

BRIDGET:  My God I don’t know!

CORY:  There’s only one way I can think of. 

BRIDGET:  I don’t know how else to tell you.  I did not cheat on you.

CORY IS SHAKING HIS HEAD.

CORY:  I just…I don’t…

BRIDGET:  You don’t believe me.  So what if this test is positive?  It means you gave it to me.

CORY:  And what if this test is negative?  That would mean that you’re lying.

BRIDGET:  So what are you saying?  Whatever the test result is, we’re over?

CORY:  I…I guess you would be right.

BRIDGET:  We went through a lot to get closer, even after what I did.

CORY:  It was at the expense of your sister.

BRIDGET:  You helped me get through the guilt of losing her…or when we thought we lost her, and you’re willing to just throw it all away.

CORY:  If that test comes back negative, then you will the one who threw us away.

A HOSPITAL WORKER WALKS IN WITH AN ENVELOPE.

WORKER:  Cory Hutchins?

CORY:  Yes.

WORKER:  These are your test results.

THE WORKER GIVES CORY THE ENVELOPE AND LEAVES.  CORY LOOKS AT BRIDGET.  HE OPENS IT AND LOOKS AT THE RESULTS.

BRIDGET:  So…what does it say?

CORY:  Negative. 

BRIDGET’S EYES START TO WELL UP.

BRIDGET:  So I guess…that means it’s over.  Just like that?

--Maggie Winthrop was ordered by Thomasina to an inpatient rehab facility Wood Pines as a condition of her continuing employment.  Brianna spiked Maggie’s coffee with fentanyl. 

-Sharlene has had her car brakes tampered with, and John and Sharlene believe that the same person tried to run her over with a car in the Bay City Medical Center parking garage

AT ERIC’S APARTMENT, ERIC HAS TWO SCENTED CANDLES ON HIS TABLE.  HE’S WEARING A BROWN ROBE AS SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.  HE WALKS TO THE DOOR, OPENS IT, AND SEES K.C.

ERIC (smiling):  Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes?

KC WALKS IN AND PUTS HER PURSE DOWN ON A CHAIR, AND ERIC SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND HER.

KC:  What’s the matter?  Rough day?

ERIC:  Well…my mom just left about twenty minutes ago. 

KC:  Oooh how did that go?

ERIC:  Who knows what my mom is up to?  I don’t wanna talk about her anymore.  I wanna focus on you.

KC: I just had dinner with my parents and…I need to work it off.

KC WALKS UP TO ERIC AND PUTS HER ARMS AROUND ERIC’S SHOUDLERS.

ERIC:  What kind of regimen do you have in mind?

KC:  Something that’s gonna make me sweat.

THEY KISS.

FELICIA:  We opened the door and we found this, and we all know that Christy is behind it.

TONI:  What do you want me to do?

MITCH:  How can you ask something like that? 

FELICIA:  Bring Christy in and question her!

AT WOOD PINES, A NURSE WALKS BY AND FILES A MANILA FOLDER LABELED “MARGUERITE WINTHROP” INTO A FILE.  AFTER THE NURSE LEAVES, SOMEONE DRESSED IN A WHITE SCRUBS, AND WEARING WHITE LATEX GLOVES, COMES AND TAKES MARGUERITE WINTHROP’S CHART.

MEANWHILE, CASS, FRANKIE, JOHN AND SHARLENE WALK UP THE COUNTER AND TALK TO A NURSE.

THE NURSE PULLS UP MAGGIE’S RECORD.

JOHN:  You don’t understand this is important.

SHARLENE:  We need some information from her.

NURSE:  You’ll have to come back tomorrow.  She can’t have visitors right now.

CASS:  I’m Cass Winthrop.  Maggie’s my daughter and I’m very concerned.

NURSE:  Mr. Winthrop I can assure you that Maggie’s in very good hands.

AT WOOD PINES, MAGGIE IS ROCKING BACK AND FORTH IN HER BED SWEATING WITH LABORED BREATHING.  SHE IS IN A FETAL POSITION AND IS UNAWARE OF SOMEONE WALKING INTO HER ROOM WEARING WHITE SCRUBS, WHITE LATEX GLOVES, AND MAGGIE’S CHART.

MAGGIE:  Nurse…can you…can you help me?  Please.

THE PERSON WHO WALKS UP TO HER BED…IS BRIANNA, WHO TAKES OUT A NEEDLE.  SHE SQUATS WHICH NOW PUTS HER FACE TO FACE WITH MAGGIE.

MAGGIE:  You? 

BRIANNA:  That’s right.  How’s the detox going?

MAGGIE:  How did you…get in here?

BRIANNA:  I was...concerned about you.  I came…to give you something.

BRIANNA SHOWS MAGGIE THE NEEDLE.

BRIANNA:  I got what you want…right in here.  It’ll relieve alllll the pain you’re in now.  You know you want it.  I mean, I dropped a couple of pills in your iced coffee and look at you now.

MAGGIE BREATHES HEAVIER.

MAGGIE:  No.

BRIANNA:  Yes.  All you have to do is…gimme your arm.  You’ll be as good as new.

MAGGIE:  Matthew….

BRIANNA:  Oh…you wanna know how Matthew and I are doing.  He and I are getting closer every day.  At this rate we might get…married?  Don’t worry, I’ll invite you to the wedding.  You can be the…opioid addicted guest of honor.

MAGGIE:  You…bitch.

BRIANNA:  You shouldn’t talk that way to someone holding a needle full of fentanyl.

ERIC AND KC KISS PASSIONATELY AND ERIC GENTLY PULLS OFF.

ERIC:  You’re the new PR intern at Bay City Medical Center.

KC:  Right again.

THEY START KISSING PASSIONATELY AGAIN.  KC LOOSENS ERIC’S ROBE WHICH FALLS TO THE FLOOR.  ERIC REMOVES KC’S PULLOVER SHIRT LEAVING HER IN A BRA.  ERIC GENTLY LAYS KC ON THE BED AS THEY CONTINUE TO KISS.  HE REACHES FOR THE NIGHTSTAND WITHOUT LOOKING.  HE OPENS THE DRAWER AND INADVERTENTLY GRABS A CONDOM WITH HOLES IN IT.

AT THE POLICE STATION….

MITCH:  What do you mean you can’t help us?

FELICIA: Yeah you know Christy’s behind this. 

TONI:  Do you have proof that Christy left this on your doorstep?

FELICIA:  No but…

TONI:  Then there’s nothing I can do.

MITCH:  Didn’t you think it was suspect that she dropped all the charges?  Now she’s done this.

TONI:  You don’t have any proof that she left this at your door.

FELICIA:  Come on Toni don’t you find it just a little odd that Christy didn’t press charges? 

TONI:  It was odd, I agree, but I have to follow the law.  I can’t just go pick her up on an accusation.  I need evidence of a crime. 

FELICIA:  So we have to wait until she actually does something harmful to me before you will consider picking her up?

TONI:  That’s not what I’m saying.

MITCH:  Well that’s what it sounds like to me.  You want us to sit and wait for Christy to commit a crime against us before you will do something.

TONI:  Listen, it’s not like I don’t want to help you, but I have to go by the book.  Until she commits a crime there’s nothing I can do.

FELICIA:  I’ll just call Cass and see what he says.

BRIANNA:  It was…so easy.  You left your iced coffee in your locker.  You know you should really invest in a lock.  You always were kind of stupid.

MAGGIE REACHES FOR THE SILENT NURSE BUZZER.

MAGGIE:  Matt…doesn’t know…who you are.

BRIANNA:  Oh I almost forgot about that.  Matt and I are getting along swimmingly.  Well, more than swimmingly.  We made love again, and we’re gonna make love…again and again and again.

MAGGIE:  Gonna…I’m gonna…tell…

BRIANNA:  You’re gonna tell whom?  You’re never gonna get outta here, especially after I inject you with this.  Nobody’s gonna believe the word of a drug addict like you.

MAGGIE:  Not...I’m…not a drug…addict.

MAGGIE PRESSES THE RED BUTTON ON THE BUZZER.

BRIANNA:  Yes…you are.  You lose Maggie.  You never should have crossed me.

FRANKIE:  Is there a supervisor you can let us talk to?

NURSE:  I’ll get someone.

THE NURSE TURNS AROUND TO GET SOMEONE AND NOTICES AN ALERT FROM MAGGIE’S ROOM.

NURSE:  I can’t I gotta go.

SHARLENE:  What’s going on?

NURSE:  There’s an alert from Maggie’s room.

CASS, JOHN, FRANKIE, AND SHARLENE FOLLOW THE NURSE.

IN FRONT OF MAGGIE’S ROOM, THE NURSE IS MET BY ANOTHER NURSE AND TWO BIG ORDERLIES DRESSED IN WHITE.  NURSE #2 HAS A TRAY WITH DRUGS.  JOHN, SHARLENE, CASS AND FRANKIE ARE RIGHT THERE WITH THEM.

NURSE #1:  You ready?

THEY ALL GO IN AND MAGGIE IS SITTING UP, BUT SHE’S STILL SWEATING AND BREATHING HEAVILY.

MAGGIE:  She’s…she was…here.

CASS RUSHES OVER TO MAGGIE.

NURSE #2:  Sir you have to leave.

CASS:  Maggie who are you talking about?

MAGGIE:  She tried…tried…you have to stop her.

FRANKIE, JOHN, AND SHARLENE WATCH FROM OUTSIDE OF THE DOOR.

NURSE #1:  Okay everybody’s gotta leave.  You’re not allowed in here.

MAGGIE BECOMES AGITIATED.

MAGGIE:  You have to stop her!  You have to stop her!

THE ORDERLIES EACH HOLD MAGGIE’S ARMS AS SHE STRUGGLES AS NURSE #1 INJECTS HER WITH SOMETHING.

MAGGIE:  Stop her…Bri…stop…her.

MAGGIE SUDDENLY BECOMES TIRED AND GOES TO SLEEP.

NURSE #1:  You all need to go or I will have security escort you out.

SHARLENE: We’re going.

FRANKIE:  Did Maggie say anything?

CASS:  She kept uttering ‘she was here’ and that we should stop her.

SHARLENE:  Do you think she may have been talking about Brianna?

JOHN:  How could she have gotten in here?

FRANKIE:  I’m gonna make some calls.

SHARLENE:  Do you think Brianna hurt Maggie?

CASS:  I don’t know, but if Maggie’s talking about Brianna, then we better do what she says and stop her.  She might be more dangerous than we think.

--Donna kissed Devin in an effort to make Michael jealous.  Later, Devin bumped into Donna at Bay City Center, and she snapped at him.

--Brianna Jameson, who’s real identity is Ellen Benson, vowed to fulfill her mother Taylor Benson’s dying wish of “finishing Sharlene Hudson.”  Brianna has tampered with the brakes on Sharlene’s car and has also tried running her over in the Bay City Medical Center garage.  Brianna also kidnapped Maggie as part of Christy’s plot to get a sperm sample from Cass so she could get pregnant

---Maggie Winthrop, who is suspicious of Brianna, has expressed her displeasure of Matt dating Brianna.  To throw Maggie off her trail, Brianna has methodically set up Maggie with a series of verbal confrontations.  Thomasina has caught Maggie angrily confronting Brianna twice.  Brianna also spiked Maggie’s iced coffee with fentanyl.  Maggie had withdrawal symptoms while on duty, and Thomasina ran blood tests on her, which discovered the fentanyl in Maggie’s system.  Thomasina suspended Maggie and ordered her to an inpatient drug rehabilitation facility.

THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER FOR A FEW MORE SECONDS.

DONNA:  Well I…guess I’ll leave you to your new club.

DONNA TURNS AROUND TO LEAVE.

DEVIN:  Hey Donna.  Wait.

DEVIN WALKS UP TO HER, PULLS HER CLOSER TO HIM, AND KISSES HER.  DONNA PULLS AWAY.

DONNA:  What are you doing?

DEVIN:  I’m doing what you want…what we both want.  You want me to stop?

DONNA:  No…don’t stop.

THEY CONTINUE TO KISS AND AT THE DOOR, UNSEEN BY DEVIN, LINDSAY ENTERS, WITNESSES THE KISS, AND LEAVES.

AT THE FARM, SHARLENE IS CUDDLED UP TO JOHN WITH HER FEET ON THE COUCH ALMOST IN A FETAL POSITION, WHILE JOHN HAS HIS LEFT ARM AROUND HER LEFT SHOULDER.

SHARLENE:  I just can’t stop thinking about it.

JOHN:  Me neither.  We’ve gotta find answers.

SHARLENE:  I have no idea where to even start looking I mean...who would be after us?

SOMEONE RINGS THE DOORBELL.  JOHN GETS UP AND GOES AND OPENS THE DOOR.

JOHN:  We need some solid evidence.  Whoever it is had to have made a mistake somewhere.  Cass, Frankie.

CASS:  Hey John.

FRANKIE:  Can we come in?

JOHN:  Of course.

JOHN SHUTS THE DOOR BEHIND THEM AS FRANKIE GOES UP TO SHARLENE.

FRANKIE:  Are you okay?

SHARLENE:  Okay as I’m gonna be I guess.  I probably won’t ever be okay until we find out who’s trying to kill me.

FRANKIE:  Well I don’t know if we found the person, but we found out something.

JOHN:  You did?

CASS:  We went to the place that Frankie and I last saw Taylor to try and get some answers.

SHARLENE:  What…what did you find?

FRANKIE:  We posed as…Taylor’s children.  I told her that my name was Brianna.

CASS:  She said she didn’t have a son…and that she didn’t have a daughter named Brianna.

SHARLENE:  So…are you saying Taylor had a daughter?

JOHN:  What made you suspect Brianna?

FRANKIE:  Maggie came and asked me to look into her background and I refused.  I thought it was just some jealousy on her part but maybe she was onto something.  I mean I…I can’t be sure if it’s her or not.

SHARLENE:  So let’s say if...Brianna’s the one behind this.  Why?  Why would she be trying to kill me?

JOHN:  We’re gonna need more evidence.

CASS:  The next place we’re going is the hospital.  See if we can talk to Maggie.

JOHN:  We’re coming with you.

AT THE HOSPITAL, THOMASINA IS IN HER OFFICE WHEN SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE DOOR.

THOMASINA:  Come in.

BRIANNA WALKS IN.

BRIANNA:  Hi Dr. Mason.

THOMASINA:  Hi Brianna what can I do for you?

BRIANNA:  I was just…I heard that Dr. Winthrop was suspended.

THOMASINA:  I really can’t…comment on that.

BRIANNA:  I understand I…was just concerned about her.  She had been acting real strangely lately.

THOMASINA:  I told her about that.  I’m sure she appreciates it. 

BRIANNA:  I’m not so sure.  I mean…I wasn’t exactly Dr. Winthrop’s favorite person.

THOMASINA:  She’s been dealing with a lot and I gave her some time off.  I’m sure she’ll be as good as new when she gets back.

BRIANNA:   Maybe…a vacation would do her some good.

MEANWHILE, MAGGIE IS IN A ROOM, LYING DOWN ON A BED IN A FETAL POSITION, ROCKING BACK AND FORTH TO ALLEVIATE THE PAIN OF DETOXING.

AT THE CENTER, LINDSAY IS SITTING AT A TABLE AS SHE FLASHES BACK TO SEEING DEVIN AND DONNA KISSING. 

LINDSAY:   What is he thinking?

DEVIN AND DONNA ARE KISSING AND THEY SUDDENLY STOP AND PULL AWAY FROM EACH OTHER.

DONNA:  What...what just happened?

DEVIN:  We kissed.

DONNA:  Well that just can’t happen again.

DEVIN:  I asked if you wanted me to stop and you said no.

DONNA:  You’re right I didn’t want you to stop.

DEVIN:  So what does this all mean?

DONNA:  It means that you’re attracted to me.

DEVIN:  And I think the feeling’s mutual.  That’s why you snapped at me at the Center when I bumped into you.

DEVIN WALKS SLOWLY TOWARD DONNA.

DEVIN:  The truth is I haven’t been able to get you out of my mind...ever since that…

DONNA:  You mean that time I kissed you when Michael walked in.  I was trying to make him jealous.

DEVIN:  You’re in denial Donna.  There’s an attraction here.

DEVIN LEANS IN TO KISS DONNA…

DONNA:  But it doesn’t mean that we should explore it.  I mean look at us…the age difference.

DEVIN:  Age didn’t stop you when you dated Matt Cory.

DONNA:  How did you know about that?

DEVIN:  That doesn’t matter.  I’m young and…you’re…

DONNA:  Don’t say it.

DEVIN:  Okay okay I won’t but…you have to be honest with yourself...we’re attracted to each other.

DEVIN LOWERS HIS VOICE AND LEANS INTO DONNA’S LEFT EAR.

DEVIN:  You didn’t come all the way down here to apologize.  You came to see me.

HE PECKS HER ON HER NECK.  DONNA CLOSES HER EYES SO SHE CAN TAKE IN ALL OF DEVIN’S WORDS

DEVIN:  To smell me…to kiss me again.

DEVIN MOVES OVER TO DONNA’S LIPS.  THEY KISS AGAIN, AND DONNA PULLS AWAY.

DONNA:  My God I…I can’t do this.

DONNA LEAVES QUICKLY.

AT THE HOSPITAL, THOMASINA IS IN HER OFFICE, WHEN JOHN KNOCKS ON THE DOOR AND PEEKS IN.

JOHN:  Hey you got a minute?

THOMASINA:  Sure.  What’s going on?

SHARLENE, CASS AND FRANKIE FOLLOW JOHN IN.

CASS:  Hey Dr. Mason.

THOMASINA:  What do you all need?

FRANKIE:  We wondered if Maggie started her shift yet.

SHARLENE:  We need to talk to her.

THOMASINA:  I’m sorry but…Maggie’s on leave.

CASS:  Leave?  What happened?  She would have told us.

THOMASINA:  She…really didn’t have time to tell you.

FRANKIE:  Why?

THOMASINA:  She probably kept this from you. 

CASS:  Kept what from us? 

THOMASINA:  She’s a Wood Pines. 

SHARLENE:  Wood Pines? 

CASS:  You gotta be kidding right?   That’s an inpatient drug rehab facility.  What would Maggie be doing there?

FRANKIE:  Yeah Maggie’s a lot of things but she’s definitely not a drug addict.

THOMASINA:  Well she must have had you fooled.  She was going through withdrawal symptoms and I couldn’t put our patients at risk, so as a condition of her employment I told her to check in to Wood Pines.

BRIANNA WALKS UP TO THE DOOR AND LISTENS IN.

THOMASINA:  Prior to that Maggie has been having trouble here at work.  She was getting into it with one of our nurses.

FRANKIE LOOKS AT CASS AND THEN BACK AT THOMASINA.

JOHN:  Would the nurse happen to be Brianna?

THOMASINA:  Listen I can’t discuss work matters right now.  If you want answers I would suggest you go talk to Maggie.
