PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
• Gregory has become hooked on opioids after a car accident on Route 17 aggravated a previous back injury
• Dana Kramer returned to Bay City to help her sister Joy beat an attempting kidnapping charge
• Mac Cory wrote a revised will leaving a great deal of his estate to his eldest child.  It was long thought to be Iris, but it was Michael Hudson’s identical twin brother, Martin Hudson, who died in a 1998 car accident that also killed Shane Roberts.  Martin assumed Michael’s life in Bay City with the help of Reginald Love.   Bryant Kramer is the son of Martin Hudson and Dana Kramer.  Since Martin is dead, that makes Bryant the heir of Mac Cory’s fortune.  Bryant wants to claim his rightful fortune
• Vivien Gorrow, Jr, the daughter of Iris’s former housekeeper Vivien Gorrow, showed up on Iris’s doorstep looking for a job

AT THE CENTER, ELIZABETH is sitting at a table when DANTE walks up.

Elizabeth Hutchins

Dante Carlino

ELIZABETH:  Heyyyy.
DANTE:  Hey you.

THEY HUG AND DANTE sits down across ELIZABETH.

ELIZABETH:  Thanks for meeting me.
DANTE:  How you been?
ELIZABETH:  What isn’t going on?  You know Bridget’s in the hospital.
DANTE:  I heard.  How’s she doing?
ELIZABETH:  She’s gonna be fine.  The doctors brought her out of her coma.
DANTE:  That’s good right?
ELIZABETH:  I guess it is.
DANTE:  How did Michele take it?
ELIZABETH:  What made you ask about her?
DANTE:  Oh come on, everybody knows they’re always two seconds from killing each other.
ELIZABETH:  Yeah I suppose you’re right.  I don’t know.  I haven’t really talked to her about it.
DANTE:  Riiiiiight.
ELIZABETH:  Dante don’t be like that.
DANTE:  Like what?
ELIZABETH:  Michele and Bridget are gonna patch things up.
DANTE:  I hope so.
ELIZABETH:  I know so, and stop trying to avoid things.
DANTE:  What are you talking about?
ELIZABETH:  I’m talking about you.  Have you talked to anyone about that yet?
DANTE:  Not now Lizzie.  I don’t wanna bring that up.
ELIZABETH:  Come on Dante.  I know that look.  Let’s take a walk.

AT THE HOSPITAL, DR MAURICE BINGHAM walks up to the NURSES’ STATION as DANA KRAMER gets off of the elevator on her cell phone.

Dr. Maurice Bingham

Dana Kramer

DANA:  Hey it’s me.  Good luck on your interview today.  Call me and tell me how it goes.  Bye.

DANA presses end call, and proceeds toward the Nurses station as MAURICE talks to one of the nurses at the counter.

MAURICE:  Hey do you know if Dr. Mason’s around?
NURSE:  I’m sorry Dr. Bingham I haven’t seen her.
MAURICE:  Okay thanks.

DANA walks up the counter.

DANA:  Well I guess you saved me a question.  I was hoping she was here.

MAURICE turns and faces DANA.

MAURICE:  Oh?
DANA:  Yeah I was…just…uh…hoping she was hungry.  I sure am.
MAURICE:  Any particular place in mind?
DANA:  There isn’t much in Bay City is it?
MAURICE:  Well there’s the Lucky Lady; Tops;  The Center Deli.
DANA:  The way I’m feeling right now, a roast beef sandwich is just not gonna cut it.  I was hoping for a nice hearty meal.
MAURICE:  Well I…I was headed out.  Tops serves, as you put it, nice hearty meals.
DANA:  You’re not gonna eat alone?
MAURICE:  I don’t really know anybody in town.  I’m pretty new to the city.
DANA:  So you’re gonna eat by yourself?

MAURICE smiles.

MAURICE:  If I didn’t know any better I…I think you’re offering to keep me company.
DANA:  I guess you’re gonna have to…stand in for Thomasina.
MAURICE:  Before we break bread, I’m Maurice Bingham.
DANA:  Dana Kramer.

THEY SMILE AT EACH OTHER.

----------------------------

AT BAYCORP, RACHEL and MATT sit at a table in a meeting room.
Rachel Cory Hutchins

Matt Cory

RACHEL:  I wonder what happened to Maggie.
MATT:  We’ll go after this interview.  Hope she’s okay.
RACHEL:  Me, too
The office phone buzzes and Rachel answers it.
RACHEL:  He’s here?  Send him in.

BRYANT KRAMER, dresses in a gray suit and black tie, walks in.
Bryant Kramer

MATT:  Hello Mr. Kramer.
BRYANT:  Hello.
MATT:  I’m Matthew Cory.  This is my mother Rachel.
RACHEL:  Nice to meet you.  Please have a seat.
BRYANT:  I’ve heard so much about you.
RACHEL:  I’m sure you have.
MATT:  Thanks for coming.  Why don’t we get started?

------------------------

AT IRIS’S SUITE, VIVIEN walks out from one of the bedrooms while IRIS sits in the living room.

Vivien Gorrow
Iris Spaulding

VIVIEN:  Oh my God what time is it?
IRIS:  It’s early afternoon.
VIVIEN:  What’s for breakfast?
IRIS:  First of all, I don’t cook breakfast.  Second of all, I only said that you could spend one night.  You have to leave…today.  So I suggest you take a nice hot shower, and get out of my suite.
VIVIEN:  I’m sorry Iris but…I can’t do that.

CAMERA PAN ON VIVIEN…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

-------------------------------------------

PART 2

IRIS:  What do you mean you can’t do that?  I only let you stay here one night.
VIVIEN:  I told you that I needed a job.
IRIS:  And I don’t have any openings here.
VIVIEN:  But my mom worked for you.  Doesn’t that count for something?
IRIS:  Listen, I will always be grateful for your mother’s loyalty and service, but I don’t owe you anything.
VIVIEN:  I’m her daughter, and she told me that I could come to you if I needed anything.
IRIS:  Vivien…Junior…I can’t help you.  I let you stay here one night.  You need to get your things and leave.
VIVIEN:  I…I have nowhere else to go.
IRIS:  I really don’t know what to tell you sweetheart, but the world is a cruel place.  We have to make our own way.
VIVIEN:  My mother told me that you were rich.  What way did you make?
IRIS:  I can’t…help you.  You need to go.
VIVIEN:  I’m not going anywhere.  I’m not asking for a handout.  I’m willing to work for the money.  I will do the same job that my mother did.
IRIS:  I don’t have an opening for that job.
VIVIEN:  It’s not like you don’t have the money Iris Spaulding.
IRIS:  I don’t need a housekeeper.  If you’re not out of here within the hour I will call security.
VIVIEN:  So that’s how it’s gonna be?
IRIS:  Vivien I am under no obligation to take care of you.  You have to go.
VIVIEN:  Wait a minute.  I just thought of a place that I could rest my head.  That handsome guy that was here.  Bryant Kramer’s his name?

IRIS fixes her eyes on VIVIEN intently.

IRIS:  What about him?
VIVIEN:  Or better yet, I can go to that big mansion.  I think it’s the Cory Estate?  I could have a talk with Rachel.
IRIS:  You don’t know Rachel.
VIVIEN:  My mother and I were very close.  She told me everything there is to know about Bay City.  She told me about how you tried to swindle your own father out of his company.  You were called “The Chief” I think it was.
IRIS:  So what do you think you’re gonna tell Rachel?
VIVIEN:  You said she doesn’t know me right?  Once I mention you, and that you’re working with Bryant Kramer to take over BayCorp, she would welcome me with open arms and stop you.  Oh well I guess I’ll get my things and leave…
IRIS:  No.  No you…you can stay.  As long as you need.

-------------------

RACHEL:  Your resume is very impressive.  You worked at Lewis Energy in Springfield?
BRYANT:  As an intern I worked closely with Josh and Billy Lewis.  I ran a lot of the financial numbers for them.  They even let me make a few deals.
MATT:  We’ve made some calls and they say a lot of good things about you.
BRYANT:  Thank you.
RACHEL:  Why should we hire you at BayCorp?
BRYANT:  Well I’m hard working, I just graduated in top 5 percentile of my class, and I have previous experience.  In today’s world, it’s hard to find someone who has experience as young as I am.  I get along well with others, and I’m a team player.  I’m always willing to learn, and I come with ideas that could help improve operations at the company.  Those are the things that make me a great candidate for Assistant to the Chief Operating Officer.

RACHEL and MATT look at each other.  RACHEL purses her lips.

RACHEL:  You sell yourself well Mr. Kramer.
BRYANT:  Please…call me Bryant.
MATT:  I don’t…see any reason why we shouldn’t offer you the job.
RACHEL:  Me neither.  I will have our HR department email you a formal offer, but we would like to the extend the verbal offer now.
BRYANT: Wow…uh…I would consider it a privilege to work here.  I accept.

RACHEL and MATT each extend their right hand.

MATT:  Welcome aboard.

--------------------------

DANA and MAURICE both wipe their mouths with white handkerchiefs.

DANA:  Wow that hit the spot.
MAURICE:  Yeah that salad really must have filled your tummy.
DANA:  You think you’re so funny.  It had grilled chicken in it.
MAURICE:  Yeah, two whole pieces.
DANA:  Well a gal’s gotta stay healthy.
MAURICE:  I suppose you're right.
DANA:  You woofed down that T Bone I see.
MAURICE:  It’s all about the meat right?  But you failed to mention the potatoes and vegetables.

DANA laughs.

DANA:  I didn’t get a chance.  You interrupted me before I could get the words out of my mouth.
MAURICE:  This is a nice break in between patients.
DANA:  Saving lives?
MAURICE:  I suppose you could say that.  I deal with the mental side of things.
DANA:  You’re a psychiatrist?
MAURICE:  You got it.  So what is it that you do?  What brought you to Bay City?
DANA:  Awful lot of questions.
MAURICE:  Well let me be honest.  I know we just met and everything but…I’m intrigued by you, and I’d like to know more.  If…that’s okay with you.

DANA smiles.

DANA:  You’re direct.
MAURICE:  Is that a problem?
DANA:  I’m not complaining.  I like it.  So…I’ll tell you why I came back to Bay City.
MAURICE:  Back?  So you were here before?
DANA:  Yes I was…

DANA leans in slightly closer toward MAURICE.

DANA:  But why don’t we save some conversation…for next time?

MAURICE smiles.

MAURICE:  Oh I get it.  You want to keep me wanting more.
DANA:  I’m not stringing you along.  I mean, do you eat all of your meals in one setting?  You save some for later.

MAURICE leans in closer to DANA and folds his hands on the table.

MAURICE:  So why don’t we…make a time that we can…continue our conversation?
DANA:  I’d like that.

--------------------------

AT IRIS’S SUITE, IRIS gets a call on her cell phone.

IRIS:  He’s here?  Send him up.

THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN and BRYANT walks through.  IRIS walks to the bar and pours herself a glass of wine.

BRYANT:  Starting early aren’t you?
IRIS:  You got some good news for me?
BRYANT:  Good for news for whom?
IRIS:  Did you get the job or not?
BRYANT:  They hired me.
IRIS:  Good work.  You do know this benefits both of us.
BRYANT:  Yeah because you’re really concerned about my best interests.
IRIS:  Despite what you’ve heard I’m not the monster people make me out to be.
BRYANT:   You shot Carl Hutchins to keep him from marrying Rachel.  Naah you’re not a monster, you’re just a baby dragon.
IRIS:  You think this is funny?  My birthright is at stake here.
BRYANT:  You mean MY birthright.
IRIS:  I have every right to that company as anyone else.
BRYANT:  But I am the one it belongs to, since my father’s no longer living.  I mean what do you want with BayCorp anyway?  You’ve inherited all this money from Brandon Spaulding.
IRIS:  You think this is about money?  This is about payback.  I’m gonna make them all pay for kicking me out of my daddy’s company.
BRYANT:  It’s MY company.  I am the rightful heir to Mac’s fortune, and I’m gonna take it.

VIVIEN walks in from the bedroom, and BRYANT turns to her.

BRYANT:  You didn’t hear any of that did you?
VIVIEN:  The part where you said you were filthy rich?  Nope I didn’t hear anything.
IRIS:  She knows.  She overheard our conversation the other night.
VIVIEN:  I’m Vivien.  Very nice to meet you.

VIVIEN smiles.

AT THE PARK, ELIZABETH AND DANTE are walking slowly side by side.

DANTE:  My work helps me to forget about it.
ELIZABETH:  That’s the thing.  You won’t ever forget about it.  It’s always gonna eat at you until you talk to someone.  You have to get it out.
DANTE:  Lizzie I don’t need to.  I’ve been dealing with it for a long time.  I’ve been coping pretty well.
ELIZABETH:  It’s not only going to affect you.  It’s gonna affect anyone who cares about you.  I want you to get some help.  Talk to someone about what happened.

They take a few more steps and see GREGORY passed out on the ground.

ELIZABETH:  Oh my God.  Gregory?
ELIZABETH runs to Gregory and checks him out.
ELIZABETH:  Gregory?
DANTE looks at him, takes out a pen, and sticks Gregory in the thigh with it.
ELIZABETH:  What did you just do?
DANTE:  Naloxone.
ELIZABETH:  Really?  That’s for people who…
DANTE:   Right.  Reverses the effect of opioid overdoses.
ELIZABETH:  You think he O.D.’d?

GREGORY starts to come to.

GREGORY:  What…what happened?
DANTE:  You overdosed on opioids.  We gotta take him to the hospital.

LINDSAY:  The elevator lets out right at the front so just sit tight for a few more minutes.
DEVIN:  I’m fully capable of walking.
LINDSAY:  My goodness you’re worse than some of my patients.
DEVIN:  I got a lot to do, and I’m not gonna be able to do it sitting in this chair.
LINDSAY:  I can’t let you get up.
DEVIN:  Oh my God.

ELIZABETH WATCHES THEM AS THE ELEVATOR DOORS OPEN AND THEN SHE LEAVES.

LINDSAY:  We’re almost there Mr. grumpy.
DEVIN:  You got jokes right?
LINDSAY:  You didn’t know?  I’m a comedienne.

ELIZABETH FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT

ELIZABETH:  No.  We can’t.
DANTE:  What do you mean we can’t?  He needs medical attention.
ELIZABETH:  Then they’ll call his parents and he’ll be in all kinds of trouble.  And I know you’re gonna wanna question him.
DANTE:  Yeah you know that.
ELIZABETH:  Come to my house.  Let’s bring him to my house.  You can question him there.  Please Dante don’t turn him in.

BRIDGET:  A little better I guess.
JAKE:  You guess?  Aren’t you glad to be back with the land of the living?
BRIDGET:  Yeah, but I wish I could remember how I got here.
JAKE:  You had an allergic reaction to the antibiotic you took.
BRIDGET:  I know that but…there had to have been something that lead up to it.  I mean, what happened in the moments before I collapsed?
JAKE:  Sounds like you’re worried.
BRIDGET:  No not really I…just wanna remember.
JAKE:  You will…all your memories will come back.
BRIDGET:  Come on dad I’m not talking about full on amnesia.  Just…I need to fill in that missing block of time.

CORY walks in.

CORY:  Maybe I can help.
BRIDGET: Cory.

JAKE gets up and walks up to CORY.

JAKE:  Cory maybe this isn’t a good…

FELICIA:  I must say I’m…surprised to see you.

RACHEL walks up to FELICIA’S bed, pulls up a stool, and sits on it.

RACHEL:  Given the way we…left things before.  I suppose I can’t blame you.
FELICIA:  Rachel you gotta understand I  never meant to hurt you.
RACHEL:  I know I was just…overreacting.  I knew deep down you weren’t betraying my family.  You made a business decision.  I was wrong for what I said.
FELICIA:  That really really hurt Rachel.
RACHEL:  Maybe I’m…somewhat responsible for this.  After that you took a drink and got into an accident afterwards.  Now you’re lying because Christy tried to kill you.
FELICIA:  I forgive you.
RACHEL:  Come on Felicia I haven’t even apologized yet.
FELICIA:  How long have we been friends Rachel?   We’ve had spats and disagreements before.
RACHEL:  I couldn’t have gotten through most of the things of my life without you.
FELICIA:  You have your children, too.
RACHEL:  And hopefully I’ll...have my best friend.

FELICIA grabs RACHEL’S hand.

FELICIA:  Of course you do.  Always.

----------------------

AT THE PARK, GREGORY Is waiting for BRIANNA.  His cell phone rings.  He looks on the caller ID, sees LINDSAY’S name, and swipes ignore as BRIANNA walks up to him.

GREGORY:  Well it’s about time.
BRIANNA:  Um I wouldn’t talk that way if I were you, especially since you’re looking for a hit.

BRIANNA takes out a clear plastic bag with white capsule sized pills and dangles them.  GREGORY reaches for them, but she pulls them away.

BRIANNA:  These aren’t free.
GREGORY:  Come on I don’t have any money.  Please.  Just this one time.  I’m good for it.  Here…

GREGORY digs in this pocket and takes out a pair of earrings.

GREGORY:  Take these.  I’m sure they’re worth something.

GREGORY gives her the earrings and BRIANNA looks at them.

BRIANNA:  Hmmm these are…
GREGORY:  Ruby diamond studs.  I’m sure you can get something good for them.
BRIANNA:  Yeah…I sure can.
BRIANNA gives him the pills.
BRIANNA:  Take these.  This is the last time.
GREGORY:  I won’t contact you again I swear.

BRIANNA leaves as GREGORY takes the bag of pills.  He sits on the bench and smashes the pills that are inside the bag with his right fist.  He opens the bag and snorts the smashed pills.  He takes a deep breath and stands up.  He does not get far as he takes two steps, and collapses.

ALLEN:  Are you okay?
JOY:  Well, my mother came back into my life asking me to forgive her for leaving me on my cousin’s doorstep so she can run the streets—
ALLEN:  Wow.
JOY:  Oh it gets better.  She has cancer.  Outside of that, I’m just fine.
ALLEN:  I’m…I’m really sorry.
JOY:  No It’s not your fault.  I’m the one who should be sorry.
ALLEN:  No you didn’t do anything.
JOY:  I’m sorry for dumping all of this on you.  It’s just…a lot to deal with you know?
ALLEN:  Yeah…I know, but I also know that your relationship with your mom is precious.  I didn’t have my mother for years either.
JOY:  Did she dump you on a relative?
ALLEN:  No.  It was a relative who kept us apart.
JOY:  I’m so…I’m so rude.  I’m Joy Kramer.
ALLEN:  Allen Love.
JOY:  Love?  You wouldn’t happen to be related to Steven’s mother would you?
ALLEN:  Vicky?  She’s my cousin.

KC walks up and sees them from a short distance as JOY extends her right hand, and ALLEN extends his as they shake.
KC Burrell

JOY:  Nice meeting you.
KC walks up to them.
KC:  Dad.
ALLEN:  Hey.
KC:  When did you get back?
ALLEN:  About an hour ago.  Hey do know Joy?

KC HAS A FLASHBACK
(EPISODE 187)
BAY CITY CENTER...Joy is texting and walking very slowly.  She sends a text to Steven…
Joy (texting):  R u in the coffee shop?
Steven (texting back):  Yes.
Joy, still looking at her phone, smiles and walks slowly, still looking at her phone.  Suddenly, someone bumps into Joy, and causes her to drop her phone.  It’s K.C.  Joy picks up her phone in disgust.
Joy:  My God.  My phone’s broken.  You broke my phone!
K.C.:  I didn’t do anything.  You weren’t looking where you were going.
Joy:  Look I need to get your information because you are going to pay for me to get a new phone, since you caused it to be broken.
K.C.:  I can’t take responsibility for your clumsiness.
Joy:  Look little girl, the grown up way to settle things is that you take responsibility for what you’ve done.  You are gonna pay for me to get a new phone.
K.C.:  This full grown adult is not paying for a damn thing.  You should look where the hell you’re going.
Joy:  Oh bitch you gon’ pay for this phone.
K.C.:  You better watch who you’re calling a bitch or you’ll end up in the fountain.
Toni and Etta Mae quickly come between them.
Etta Mae:  You leave her alone lady!
Toni:  Nobody’s gonna end up anywhere.  How much is the phone?
Joy:  Five hundred dollars.
K.C.:  Oh please that’s more than what that thing is worth.
Toni:  I’ll write you a check.
They all follow Toni to a nearby table, who takes out her checkbook, writes the check, and gives it to Joy.
Joy:  I hope it doesn’t bounce.
K.C.:  Maybe you should bounce before I kick your…
Toni:  K.C.!  The check’s good.
Joy:  Um hm.
Joy walks away.
K.C.:  Ugh!  What a bitch!

KC FLASHES BACK TO THE PRESENT
KC LOOKS AT JOY.
KC:  We’ve met.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CORYS, BRIANNA rings the doorbell at the front and RACHEL opens the door.
Rachel Cory Hutchins

Brianna Jameson

RACHEL:  Hi.  You’re Brianna right?
BRIANNA:  You must be Rachel.
RACHEL:  I’m Matthew’s mother.
BRIANNA:  Yes of course.  He’s told me so much about you.  Is uh…he here?
RACHEL:  He’s working late.  Was he expecting you?
BRIANNA:  No I thought I’d…come by and surprise him.  I can come back another time.
BRIANNA TURNS TO LEAVE…
RACHEL:  No please come in.  I’d like to talk to you.
BRIANNA:  Oh Rachel I’d love to but I gotta get to the hospital.
RACHEL:  I won’t take too much of your time.  Please…come in.

--------------------------------------------------

AT THE POLICE STATION, FRANKIE, CASS and RAFAEL walk in and approach TONI.
Cass Winthrop

Frankie Frame

Rafael Santierro

Toni Burrell

TONI:  What can I do for you?
CASS:  We need to file a missing person’s report.
TONI:  How long has it been?
FRANKIE:  It’s Maggie.
RAFAEL:  She’s in danger.
TONI:  We’ve been looking for her.  She escaped from Wood Pines.
RAFAEL:  She…didn’t escape.
TONI:  How do you know?
RAFAEL:  Because I took her.
TONI:  So you aided and abetted an escaped patient.
FRANKIE:  Brianna Jameson was trying to kill her and she could be in danger right now!
TONI:  That’s a serious accusation Frankie.  I’ve got units out there looking and no one’s seen her.
CASS:  Well they need to find my daughter before she gets hurt!

------------------------------------------------

IN THE HOSPITAL BASEMENT, MAGGIE lies unconscious on the floor of the freezer wearing only a bra and panties.
Maggie Winthrop

AT THE FARM, SHARLENE is in the living room on her phone with her back to the door.
Sharlene Frame Hudson

SHARLENE:  I don’t know what to do.  You weren’t here when Taylor tore our family apart with her lies.  I know in my gut that Brianna is tied to Taylor, but we just have to find out how.  Alright.  Love you.

SHARLENE presses end call, turns around and gasps at the sight of JOHN holding a gun.
John Hudson

PART 2
JOY:  Yeah…we have.  Well I’m gonna get going.  Nice meeting you Allen.
ALLEN:  Same here.
JOY:  Take care.

JOY walks away and KC turns her attention to ALLEN.

KC:  Hmm.
ALLEN:  Hmm what?
KC:  We’ve met before, and it wasn’t all that pleasant.
ALLEN:  What do you mean?
KC:  She got all huffy with me because I accidentally broke her cell phone, and she wasn’t very nice about it.  Mom paid her for it.
ALLEN:  She should be alright then.  She got her money.  So what’s going on with you?  How’s the internship?
KC:  It’s cool.  Boy those doctors can be snooty, but Dr. Mason has my back.
ALLEN:  That’s excellent.  Your grandmother sends her love.
KC:  You know I’d really like to meet her one day.
ALLEN:  She wants to meet you, too.
KC:  How’s she doing?
ALLEN:  She’s much better.  No ill effects from the chemo.  Hey I heard Bridget was in the hospital.  Do you know what happened?
KC:  I don’t know.  I’ll have to check.  I’m so out of the loop when it comes to family matters.
ALLEN:  Not that I should care but…where’s Eric?
KC:  You know what…I have no idea.  I haven’t heard anything from him.
ALLEN:  I can’t say I’m not happy about that.
KC:  I called and texted him.  No answer.
ALLEN:  Have you been by his place?
KC:  I haven’t had a chance.
ALLEN: I knew he was no good for you.
KC:  Dad---
ALLEN:  If he didn’t want to be with you, his punk ass should have told you in person.
KC:  Let’s not jump to conclusions.  Something could have happened to him.
ALLEN:  Let’s pay him a visit.

-----------------------------------------------

IN THE HOSPITAL BASEMENT, TWO WORKERS APPROACH THE BIG FREEZER.

WORKER #1:  It’s creepy coming down here.
WORKER #2:  Yep I don’t know why they let the mayonnaise run out.

WORKER #1 OPENS THE BIG DOOR and SCREAMS AS THEY SEE MAGGIE LYING ON THE FLOOR UNCONSCIOUS DRESSED ONLY IN A BRA AND PANTIES.

WORKER #2:  Oh my God.  I’ll go get help.

AT THE POLICE STATION…

TONI:  All my people are working on locating her.
CASS:  Well they need to work a little harder!
FRANKIE:  Cass we’re not getting anywhere here.  We need to go look for her.
RAFAEL:  Where do we even start?  We have no idea what happened to her.  We don’t know if she left on her own or was kidnapped.
CASS:  If something happens to my daughter I’m holding the Bay City Police Department personally responsible!
CASS gets a call on his cell phone.
CASS:  Cass Winthrop.  I’ll be right there.

CASS presses end call.

FRANKIE:  Who was that?
CASS:  We gotta go.  Maggie’s in the hospital.  She’s been badly hurt.

-------------------------------------------------

RACHEL walks into the CORY LIVING ROOM and BRIANNA follows her.

RACHEL:  Would you like some tea?
BRIANNA:  No thank you.
RACHEL:  Oh come on don’t tell me you’re nervous.
BRIANNA:  No…I mean I…I was hoping to meet you at some point but not like this.
RACHEL:  Matt’s told me about you.  He seems to really like you.
BRIANNA:  He’s so perfect.
RACHEL:  Nobody’s perfect but…I don’t quite know how else to say this but Matthew…he doesn’t have the best track record when it comes to women, and I don’t want him to get hurt.
BRIANNA:  I can appreciate that Matt has a mother like you to look after him.
RACHEL:  Matt’s a full grown adult.  I just want him to be happy.
BRIANNA:  Rachel I have every intention of making Matt happy.
RACHEL:  Good.
BRIANNA:  Well I…my shift is gonna start so I gotta get to the hospital.  I’m glad we had this talk.
RACHEL:  Thanks for listening.  Take care.
BRIANNA:  You, too.

RACHEL OBSERVES BRIANNA WALKING OUT.

-------------------------------------------

SHARLENE:  What are you doing with that?
JOHN:  I thought you wouldn’t be here when I came home with this.
SHARLENE:   No it’s just…you just startled me that’s all.  I never thought I’d see the day we’d have to bring a gun in the house.
JOHN:  I…think you know what this is for.
SHARLENE:  Do you really think we need a gun to protect us from Brianna?
JOHN:  There’s no telling what she’s capable of.  There’s no telling what she’s gonna do next.  I wanna keep this around just in case she tries to attack us again.
SHARLENE:  John I don’t…I don’t know.
JOHN:  What do you mean you don’t know?  I know I don’t want a repeat of Taylor Benson.
SHARLENE:  And you think I do?  Do you think I want to sit around and wait for Brianna to attack us again?
JOHN:  Of course not.  This is why I got this.
JOHN walks to the living room closet and opens the door.  He places the gun on the top shelf, and closes the door.
JOHN:  Now you know where it is.

HE WALKS UP TO SHARLENE and EMBRACES HER.

JOHN:  I’m not gonna let Brianna hurt you or Gregory.

-----------------------------------------

AT THE HOSPITAL, CASS, FRANKIE, and RAFAEL see RUSS at the nurses station.  THEY RUN UP TO HIM.
Dr. Russ Matthews

CASS:  Russ where’s Maggie?
RUSS:  She’s in her room.
FRANKIE:  What happened to her?
RUSS:  Two workers found her in the freezer in the basement.  It seems she was in there for a while.
RAFAEL:  She got to her.
BRIANNA walks on the scene and sees them.
CASS:  Is she gonna be alright?
RUSS:  She’s lucky they found Maggie when they did.  Another half hour or so, she may not have made it.

BRIANNA goes around the corner before anyone sees her.

BRIANNA:  Dammit!

In this episode:  Jake McKinnon, Vicky Hudson, Paulina Cory, Russ Matthews, Bridget McKinnon, Michele McKinnon, Donna Love, Allen Love, Thomasina Mason, Steven Frame, Joy Kramer, Lily Mason

PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD

  • In her scheme to break up Cory and Bridget, Michele hacked the hospital server and switched her sister Bridget's negative test with a positive test.  Bridget suffered anaphylactic shock after taking amoxicillin.  She was prescribed the antibiotic after she was diagnosed with chlamydia.  It turned out she never had chlamydia at all.  Before Bridget collapsed in front of the Corys, Michele revealed all to Bridget.  Bridget was placed in a medically induced coma, and she has just awakened.  Everyone thinks it was just a test mix up, but Jake suspects otherwise.
  • Lily Mason, a 1980s character, has come to town to make amends with her estranged daughter, Joy Kramer.  Lily left Joy with her cousin Thomasina and Thomasina's husband Carter Todd to raise

PART 1

A FEW MINUTES LATER, JAKE, VICKY, PAULINA, AND RUSS ENTER BRIDGET’S ROOM AS BRIDGET LIES IN HER BED.  BRIDGET STARTS TO OPEN HER EYES.  JAKE WALKS UP TO HER BED WITH PAULINA BEHIND HIM.
Vicky Hudson

Paulina Cory

Jake McKinnon

Bridget McKinnon

Michele McKinnon
JAKE:  Hey honey.  Welcome back.
PAULINA:  We’re right here.

BRIDGET LOOKS AT JAKE AND PAULINA AS MICHELE ENTERS THE ROOM, THEN BRIDGET FIXES HER EYES STRAIGHT AT MICHELE, AND THE TWO  MAKE EYE CONTACT.

BRIDGET:  Dad?
JAKE:  Baby.  I’m so happy you’re back with us.
PAULINA:  We all are.

MICHELE walks up to BRIDGET.

MICHELE:  I’m so happy that you’re awake.

BRIDGET just looks at MICHELE.

DONNA:  How are you feeling honey?
BRIDGET:  Like I’ve…been sleeping I guess.
JAKE:  You have been.
BRIDGET:  What happened?   How did I get here?
PAULINA:  That’s…that’s not important right now.  Let’s just celebrate that you’re awake.
RUSS:  I’m gonna arrange for some tests to be run.  Until then I will ask that she have two visitors at a time.
VICKY:  Of course.
DONNA:  We’ll give you all the time you need to get better.
BRIDGET:  I wanna…I wanna speak to mom.  In private.

JAKE looks back at VICKY, and then back at BRIDGET.

JAKE:  Sure baby.
PAULINA:  We’ll be right outside.

EVERYONE LEAVES VICKY AND BRIDGET alone.  VICKY walks slowly up to BRIDGET, and sits on a stool next to BRIDGET’S bed.

VICKY:  How are you feeling?
BRIDGET:  How did I get here?  Can you tell me what happened?  I was talking to Michele one minute, and now I’m waking up.
VICKY:   You…had an allergic reaction to the Amoxicillin.
BRIDGET:  I was taking that for chlamydia.
VICKY:  Honey there’s something I need to tell you.  After you were brought in, Dr. Matthews ran your blood.  They didn’t find any chlamydia in it.
BRIDGET:  What?  I only took the Amoxicillin once.
VICKY:  There may have been a mix up with the tests.
BRIDGET:  What are you talking about?
VICKY:  They discovered that you…that you never chlamydia at all.

MICHELE walks up to the door and looks inside through the rectangle shaped glass, then walks away.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AT THOMASINA’S HOUSE, THOMASINA is with JOY and her mother, LILY MASON.
Thomasina Mason

Lily Mason
Joy Kramer

LILY:  Joy it’s up to you.  I wasn’t there for you like a mother should have been but…I’m not gonna justify my reasons for asking Thomasina to raise you.  I hope you will let this bitterness go and be happy.  That’s all I want for you.
THOMASINA:  She’s right Joy.
JOY:  I’m not giving you a break just because you’re sick.  If you were healthy you wouldn’t even be here, so the answer is hell no.
THOMASINA:  Oh my God Joy you don’t mean that.
JOY:  I DO mean it.  You have the audacity to come back into my life after all these years, asking me for forgiveness!
LILY:  Baby I know I did you wrong, but please, I don’t have much time left.  I hope that…I hope that you can find it in your heart to give me another chance.
JOY:  As far I’m concerned you blew it.  I got this far in life without you, and I sure don’t need you laying a guilt trip on me.
LILY:  Joy baby where you goin?
JOY:  After all of this, I think I need some air.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MEANWHILE, STEVEN is in the waiting area with DONNA.
Steven Frame

Donna Love

STEVEN:  Are you serious?
DONNA:  It’s very shocking.  I have no idea how they could get the tests mixed up like that, especially with today’s technology.
STEVEN:  It happens, but it could have cost Bridget her life.
DONNA:   That’s the thing.  They should have been more careful.
STEVEN:  I’ll have a word with Dr. Mason about that.  It’s unacceptable.  I’m just happy that she’s okay.
DONNA:  Yeah me, too.  How about you?  What’s going on in your life?  How are things with Joy?
STEVEN:  We’re good.  It’s mom that has to get on board.
DONNA:  I noticed that Victoria doesn’t like her very much.
STEVEN:  Not at all.  Mom’s gonna have to accept that I love her, and nothing she does is going to change that.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IN ANOTHER PART OF THE WAITING AREA, PAULINA walks up to JAKE with two cups.

PAULINA:  Coffee?

JAKE smiles and takes a cup from PAULINA.

JAKE:  Thanks.
PAULINA:  I’m starting to wonder if I should have gotten you one.
JAKE:  Why you say that?
PAULINA:  Because you’re already jumpy.
JAKE:  No just…can’t shake this feeling.

MICHELE walks into the waiting area unseen by JAKE and PAULINA.

PAULINA:  What is it?
JAKE:  How could Bridget end up in a doctor induced coma, but never have chlamydia?  Something is off about all of this, and I’m gonna find out what it is.

CAMERA PAN ON MICHELE…SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

PART 2

AT THOMASINA’S HOUSE…

LILY:  I gotta go after her.
THOMASINA:  Aunt Lily maybe you should let her calm down for a bit.  This is a lot for her to process.
LILY:  I know I was wrong.  I just wanna make it right…before it’s too late.
THOMASINA:  I mean, you gotta give her some time.  You haven’t spoken to her in years.
LILY:  She has to understand why I left her with you.  God only knows what could have happened to her if I kept her with me.
THOMASINA:  Look if it’s any consolation…I think you did the right thing.  Carter and I did our best to give Joy a good home.
LILY:  I’m so grateful to you for raising my daughter.
THOMASINA:  Joy has made some mistakes in her life, but she’s a good girl.  I think she’ll come around eventually, but today ain’t the day.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE CENTER, ALLEN LOVE is walking and talking on his cell phone.
Allen Love

ALLEN:  That was a long ass flight from Geneva.  It’s gonna be a while before I do that again.  Yeah mom it was worth it.  I’ll tell Aunt Donna to call you…I love you, too.

ALLEN presses end call.  He walks into the Center and sees JOY, who is sitting at one of the tables.  JOY notices as he walks past.

ALLEN:  Hey you're...Steven's girlfriend right?
JOY:  That would be me.  How do you know him?
ALLEN:  I'm his cousin Allen.   I forgot your name.
JOY:  Joy Kramer.
ALLEN:  You aiight?
JOY:  Well…outside of my mother showing up after years of not speaking, and begging me to forgive her, I’m just fine.

ALLEN sits across from her.

ALLEN:  Sorry to hear that.
JOY:  Please…don’t feel sorry for me.  I was raised by good people.  How could your own mother leave you on someone’s doorstep as if you were some type of package?
ALLEN:  Did you talk to her about it?
JOY:  Oh she’s here, with all of her reasons why she couldn’t raise me, but it still hurts you know?  I realized that my mother didn’t even want me.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BRIDGET:  What did you say?
VICKY:  They said that you never had chlamydia.
BRIDGET:  So why didn’t you believe me?
VICKY:  What do you mean?
BRIDGET:  I told you that I didn’t cheat on Cory.  You didn’t believe me mom.
VICKY:  I can explain that.  I’m so sorry.
BRIDGET:  Why are you even having to apologize at all?  I’m your daughter.  You’re supposed to believe me.
VICKY:  You really don’t understand where I’m coming from.
BRIDGET:  All I can see…is that you hate me.
VICKY:  Oh my God.  That couldn’t be further from the truth.  Sweetheart I don’t hate you.  I just…
BRIDGET:  Just what?  What is it mom?
VICKY:  All the paternity questions.  I schemed and lied, and I just don’t want you to be like me.
BRIDGET:  What are you talking about?
VICKY:  Everything you did on prom night, I saw me in you, and I didn’t like it.
BRIDGET:  I did some horrible things back then, but I’m not like that anymore.
VICKY:  Michele doesn’t seem to think so.  Ever since she came back you both have been fighting.
BRIDGET:  And you side with her.
VICKY:  That’s not what this is about.  I want you to be better than I was.  I didn’t know who Steven’s father was, and I didn’t know who Kirkland’s father was.  Custody battles with Grant. I don’t want you to go through any of that stuff.
BRIDGET:  What are you getting at mom?
VICKY:  I…I see you heading down that path I was on and I don’t want that for you.  I want you to be happy.  I want you to tell the truth.  I want you to be a stronger woman than I was.
BRIDGET:  No mom.  All you wanted was Michele to be better than me.  You always took her side.
VICKY:  You’re both my daughters.  You have to see that I had reason.
BRIDGET:  No.  I don’t.  I can’t see why you don’t love me.  I can’t see why you didn’t believe me.  And it turns out I never even had a STI.
VICKY:  Please try to understand where I’m coming from.
BRIDGET:  You say you don’t want me to be like you, well, I agree.  When I have children, I’m going to stand by them.  I’m going to believe them over others.  I’m always going to think the best of them.  That’s the opposite of how you treat me…your own daughter.  I’m going to be nothing like you.
VICKY:  I’ve made some mistakes, but can we start over?  Can we be mother and daughter?
BRIDGET:  I’m tired.
VICKY:  I love you.

BRIDGET turns over in her bed.  Her back faces Vicky and Bridget does not answer.  VICKY leaves the room.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PAULINA:  Jake come on.  This was all just a big mix up.  Do you really think that this was done on purpose?
JAKE:  This doesn’t make any sense.  If Bridget never had the disease, and Dr. Davidson says she tested positive…
PAULINA:  You might be on to something.  That means the tests may have been switched.
JAKE:  The question is who would do that?

MICHELE tries to leave but JAKE spots and catches up with her as Paulina follows.

JAKE:  Michele.  Where are you going?

MICHELE turns around and faces Jake and Paulina.
