RACHEL:  This is Rachel Cory Hutchins.  I’m looking at your proposal for the carriage house renovation and I’d like to make a counteroffer.  Please call me when you get this.
 
PAULINA:  So the carriage house is getting a makeover?
RACHEL:  Paulina hi!    Yes that’s the plan.  Please come in.
 
RACHEL GETS UP AND THEY HUG.

PAULINA:  I hope I’m not interrupting.
RACHEL:  Don’t be silly.  You know you’re welcome here.  What’s going on?  This isn’t about Jake is it?

PAULINA:  Come on Rachel, parents know their children better than anyone.  I’m sure you could look at Cory or Elizabeth and know something’s not right with them.

RACHEL:  As much as we want to protect them, even if we see harm from a mile away, we can’t.  They’ll have to learn their own lessons.

MATT:  You’re not who you say you are.  John and Sharlene were right about you.  You’re Taylor Benson’s daughter, and I can venture a guess as to why you came to Bay City.
BRIANNA:  NO!  No.  I don’t want to…my mother, before she died, asked me to finish what she started.  I don’t want to do that.  I…I gave that up!
MATT:  What about me?  Was I part of your plan of revenge, too?
BRIANNA:  No!  Of course not!  It was you.  You came into my life I…I want to move on.  I want us to move on.
 
MATT TURNS HIS BACK TO BRIANNA.

ELIZABETH:  You tell me.  Full disclosure, I heard you and Gregory having a…conversation in the men’s room at the club, and Lindsay was the topic.
DEVIN:  What exactly did you hear?
ELIZABETH:  Gregory accused you of being in love with his girlfriend.
DEVIN:  So?
ELIZABETH:  And you didn’t deny it.  You have feelings for Lindsay don’t you?
DEVIN:  You’re wrong.
ELIZABETH:  No I’m not.  I saw it way before today.  I see how you guys are with each other.  There’s something there.

RACHEL:  Nothing huge except that she’s Taylor Benson’s daughter, and she lied about it for months.
PAULINA:  Taylor Benson?  You mean that woman who tormented John and Sharlene all those years ago.  She had a daughter? 
RACHEL:  Yes, and she came to Bay City for payback, and I’m afraid Matthew is caught in the middle.

JOHN:  Sharlene told me.  She heard you at the cemetery making a call, then after she confronted you, Gregory was ambushed.

BRIANNA:  It seems like Sharlene has been through a lot.  I know she’s been following me.  It’s like she’s obsessed or something.  Every time I turn around, there she is.
JOHN:  Don’t try to turn this around on my wife!
BRIANNA:  You need to face reality Dr. Hudson.  You might need to check to see if she’s splitting again.
 
JOHN OPENS HIS MOUTH IN AMAZEMENT.

FRANKIE:  She somehow holds Sharlene responsible for Taylor’s death.
CASS:  And you can’t find her?

FRANKIE:  I’ve been trying to get in touch with her to tell her.  All I’m getting is voicemail.
CASS:  Have you talked to John?
FRANKIE:  I told him.
CASS:  I mean, maybe her phone died.
FRANKIE:  Or maybe she’s confronting her and Brianna did something to her.  I can’t let this happen again. 
CASS:  I remember when we went to see Taylor bragging about causing the boat to explode.  She thought she had killed Sharlene.
FRANKIE:  I wanted to wipe that smug look off of her face. 
CASS:  What do you suggest we do?
FRANKIE:  Let’s go to the farm and see if she’s there.

BRIANNA:  Oh you watch way too many true crime stories.
 
BRIANNA TURNS HER BACK TO JOHN AND JOHN WALKS CLOSER.
 
JOHN:  As clever and as resourceful as Taylor was; as well as she covered her tracks, she screwed up this time.  She left all of her money and assets to you, her only next of kin.  She must have forgotten that estate records are public.  Guess she missed that one.
BRIANNA:  Is that right?
JOHN:  As the rain that can make the ground slippery, just like you are.
BRIANNA:  You’re just so full of compliments.  Are you finished?
JOHN:  Not even close.  Someone broke into my doctor portal and prescribed flurazepam.
BRIANNA:  And that theory brought you here?
JOHN:  Christy forced you to do it because she knew your true identity.
 
BRIANNA TURNS AND FACES JOHN.
 
BRIANNA:  I have no idea what you’re talking about.
JOHN:  Deny deny deny.  The next thing you’re gonna do is rationalize what you’ve done, just like she did.
BRIANNA:   And because Taylor left all of her money and assets to her daughter, that makes me the one who broke into your portal?
JOHN:  It’s not that much of a stretch is it?
BRIANNA:  Well I mean…anyone could have done it.  You left your password on a sticky note!  For a fairly intelligent doctor, that was a really stupid thing to do.  ‘Always be my son’?  I guess I made the connection…after what I saw.
 
BRIANNA TURNS HER BACK TO JOHN.  HE REACHES IN HIS RIGHT PANTS POCKET, AND TAKES HIS HAND OUT.
 
JOHN:  And what do you think you saw?
BRIANNA:  Well, John, I would first like to thank you for your service in Vietnam, but let’s just say…I saw something that tells me that you’re…shooting blanks.  Agent Orange did a number on you didn’t it?  I guess…Gregory will always be your son except…he’s not.

CONCLUSION

CASS IS SITTING IN HIS CAR IN THE DRIVER’S SEAT, WHILE FRANKIE SITS IN THE PASSENGER’S SEAT
 
FRANKIE:  No!
CASS:  One accident and traffic is all backed up.
FRANKIE:  If I have to get out of this car and walk, I will.
CASS:  No Frankie you’re not gonna do that.
FRANKIE:  Why not?  Sharlene could be in danger.
CASS:  The farm is still another half hour from here.  Do you know how far of a walk that would be?
FRANKIE:  I’m just so scared.  What if she’s hurt? 
CASS:  You called John right?
FRANKIE:  He’s not picking up his phone either.  Oh Cass I don’t have a good feeling about this.
CASS:  Looks like this traffic is clearing up. 
FRANKIE:  We gotta get to the farm.  I just hope Sharlene is there and that’s she okay.

AT THE FARM, SHARLENE WALKS TO THE LIVING ROOM CLOSET AND TAKES OUT THE SAFE.  SHE UNLOCKS IT, AND TAKES OUT HER GUN.
 
FRANKIE (v.o.):  We’ve been telling Aunt Sharlene not to follow Brianna, but she did it anyway.  It’s consuming her.  She’s so determined not to let history repeat itself.  I’m not only afraid of what Brianna could do to Sharlene, but what Sharlene could do to Brianna.
 
SHARLENE LOOKS AT HER GUN, AND PUTS IT IN HER PURSE.

JOHN WALKS UP TO HER AND GRABS BRIANNA’S LEFT ARM, AND TURNS HER AROUND.
 
JOHN:  What the hell are you talking about!
 
BRIANNA LAUGHS, THEN JOHN SHAKES HER.
 
JOHN:  You think this is FUNNY!
 
HE PUSHES HER INTO THE NEARBY WALL.
 
BRIANNA:  It IS!  You come into my apartment thinking you were gonna confront me about the hack, but I know what I saw.  You’re not Gregory’s biological father, and we both know who IS!
JOHN:  You have no idea what you’re talking about.
BRIANNA:  Sharlene knew that there was a possibility that Gregory was not your son.  Did you ever get a DNA test?  My guess would be ‘no’.  You didn’t WANT to know the truth, did you?  You two have been lying to Gregory all of his life. 
 
BRIANNA PACES PAST JOHN.
 
BRIANNA:  He was conceived while she was Sharly Watts.  Wait a second, that means Sharlene doesn’t even know, and again, you haven’t told her.  When are the lies going to stop Dr. Hudson?
JOHN:  I’m going to tell you just like I told Taylor when she tried to destroy my family…I’m going to stop you.  If you come anywhere near my family.  I’m going to STOP you!
 
JOHN WALKS TO THE DOOR TO LEAVE.
 
BRIANNA:  One more thing Doc.  If anything happens to me, Gregory’s REAL father will get all the proof he needs to find his son.  NOW you can go!
 
JOHN LEAVES AND SLAMS THE DOOR.
 
FREEZE FRAME ON BRIANNA.  SLOW FADE OUT.  END OF 341
