BRIDGET: And my test was negative.
DONNA: Michele? Is this true?
BRIDGET: You can take her side all you want mom, but the truth is the truth. Michele switched my tests, didn’t you?
BRIDGET: No. This is perfect.
ALLEN: I don’t think you really want to humiliate your sister.
BRIDGET: She did it to herself.
JAKE: Michele, please tell us the truth…
VICKY: She didn’t DO anything!
JAKE: Let her tell us. I’ll ask you again, did you switch those tests?
ALLEN: Um, I think you guys need to talk about this without us here.
KC: Yeah I think we should leave.
DONNA: I’m so sorry.
ALLEN: No no no. Go ahead and handle it.
DONNA: Thank you for coming.
KC: We’ll see ya.
BRIDGET: There you go mom taking her side again.
MICHELE: No mom. I did it. I switched the tests.

AT THOMASINA’S,
THOMASINA WALKS IN WITH A PLASTIC BAG FULL OF FOOD.
THOMASINA: Hey Aunt Lily I stopped at the store and got
those shortbread cookie squares that you like.
THOMASINA SHUTS THE
DOOR AND WALKS TO THE COUCH, WHERE LILY IS LYING DOWN WITH A SMILE ON HER FACE.
THOMASINA: You must be in a deep sleep.
SOMEONE KNOCKS ON THE
DOOR AND THOMASINA ANSWERS IT. IT’S JOY.
THOMASINA: Hey girl.
JOY: Heyyyy.
THOMASINA: How was the party?
JOY: Depends on who you ask?
THOMASINA: Uh oh. Did something happen?
JOY: Oh something definitely happened. For me, it was a great night.
JOY HOLDS OUT HER LEFT
HAND.
THOMASINA: Oh my God.
He…he…
JOY: Yes he sure did. Steven asked me to be his wife. I came to share the news with mom.
THOMASINA: Well you might have to wait til she wakes up. She looks like she’s sleeping peacefully.
THEY BOTH LOOK AT LILY.
JOY: And whatever she’s having in that dream, I
want it with that smile she’s got on her face.
JOY: Heyyyy.
THOMASINA: How was the party?
JOY: Depends on who you ask?
THOMASINA: Uh oh. Did something happen?
JOY: Oh something definitely happened. For me, it was a great night.
JOY: Yes he sure did. Steven asked me to be his wife. I came to share the news with mom.
THOMASINA: Well you might have to wait til she wakes up. She looks like she’s sleeping peacefully.
JOHN: it sounded urgent. How are you doing?
FELICIA: If how I was doing depended on capturing Christy, then I’m not well.
JOHN: Do they have any leads?
FELICIA: Dante came to the suite and told us they didn’t have enough evidence to arrest her.
JOHN: That’s ridiculous. How could that be?
FELICIA: Christy covered her tracks.
JOHN: Do they at least know where she is? As long as she’s out there she’s still a threat.
FELICIA: No they don’t. I mean not only am I in danger, but Lorna, Jenna and Devin are, too.
JOHN: Is there anything that Sharlene and I can do?
FELICIA: And that leads to why I called you.
JOHN: I came right away. What’s going on?
FELICIA: Dante said that you prescribed Flurazepam to me, so what you can do is answer this question for me, why the HELL did you do that?
PAULINA: That’s what I’ve been asking him.
DONNA: You knew about this?
PAULINA: I’ve been telling him how wrong this is.
JAKE: Listen I don’t care what you think. I’m tired of seeing my girls fight. All this back and forth for months. I’m SICK of it!
VICKY: You humiliate your OWN daughter in front of everyone!
BRIDGET: Isn’t that what you did at the memorial service?
DONNA: My GOD will everyone just STOP IT! When is this family gonna get it together?
BRIDGET: Don’t worry grandma. We will be fine once Michele is held accountable for what she’s done.
BRIDGET: No. We’re not involving the authorities.
JOY: I don’t think I’ve ever felt this feeling in my life. It’s almost as if I’m floating through the air.
THOMASINA: I’m so happy for you. You really love him don’t you?
JOY: Yes he…Steven is the one for me you know? He’s not perfect. He thinks he’s right all the time.
THOMASINA: Probably because he’s a doctor.
JOY: But if that’s the only problem I have, then I’ll take it. He’s kind, compassionate, considerate, not to mention handsome.
THOMASINA: That certainly helps.
JOY: Oh does it ever, especially in the bed….wait a minute why am I talking to YOU about this?
THOMASINA: You’re not a little girl anymore.
JOY: But you raised me. You’re practically like my mom you know?
THOMASINA: Your mother is sleeping on that couch. It was a privilege to raise you, and it warms my heart to see you engaged to the man of your dreams.
THOMASINA: Don’t put that into the atmosphere. You’re not gonna screw up. Don’t wait for the other shoe to drop, because often times it will.
THOMASINA: Don’t talk like you’re not worthy. You ARE worthy of love I don’t care how many mistakes you've made. Stop thinking that YOU’RE the only one’s that’s lucky. He is, too.
JOY: For the first time in my life, everything seems to be falling into place. Steven asked me to marry him, and mom and I are in a great place.
THOMASINA: There’s no pulse.
JOY: What?
JOY: I mean she’s…no…she’s smiling. She can’t be…all this time we were here.
THOMASINA: When I left she was going to lie down on the couch. She must have passed away before I got back.
THOMASINA: That must have given her the peace that she needed…to go home.
FELICIA: Dante showed me everything. The pills were prescribed to me and it listed you as the prescribing physician. Now you’re telling that you DIDN’T do it. How stupid do you think I am? And why would you even do something that to me?
JOHN: I swear to you I didn’t authorize that prescription. Someone broke into my doctor portal at the hospital.
FELICIA: Are you sure that nobody else had access to it?
JOHN: No. They’re completely secure.
FELICIA: Apparently not if someone can break into it that easily.
JOHN: You said Christy forced you to take the pills right?
FELICIA: At gunpoint.
JOHN: Why would Christy need ME to prescribe flurazepam? She could have gotten any doctor to do it. Why me?
FELICIA: Either she did it herself…
JOHN: No Christy couldn’t have done it. Someone at the hospital helped her.
FELICIA: So who could she have been working with?
JOHN: I don’t know, but I’m gonna find out.
VICKY: I don’t believe for a minute you’re gonna just sweep this under the rug.
BRIDGET: No I’m not.
MICHELE: Don’t draw this out any further. Call the damned cops and put me in jail.
BRIDGET: No you can’t get the help you need in there.
MICHELE: What are you talking about? You think I’m crazy?
DONNA: Bridget what exactly are you getting at? If you’re not gonna turn her into the cops then what’s your solution?
BRIDGET: I’ll give that to you in a second, but there’s one thing that Michele has to do first. You’re gonna have to tell everyone in here what you did at the hospital.
MICHELE: What do you mean?
BRIDGET: Don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about! You know exactly what you did it and why you did it!
Michele: I was going to Harvard, but of course, you wanted to sabotage that by stealing my acceptance letter. If I didn’t respond in time, I would have gone on their lonnnng waiting list.
Bridget: Look I know what I did was wrong, it took me a long time to forgive myself for it.
Michele: My brain injury; spiking Cory’s drink at the prom; kissing him at the wedding; the fact that I have to learn how to read again..and you somehow made it...about you forgiving yourself. How fitting.
Bridget: Cory helped me to come to terms with what happened.
Michele: Cory? Ha! Not only are you a selfish bitch, you’re a manipulative bitch, too.
Bridget: You have every right to be angry.
Michele: You’re damned right I do.
Bridget: But I’m not gonna sit by and watch you carry out whatever it is you’re plotting.
Michele: I don’t care what you try to do sis, because you are going to pay for what you’ve done.
Bridget: You need help.
Michele: The only one who’s gonna need help...is you.
Vicky knocks on the door asking if Michele is in there and suddenly…
Michele: Bridget stop it! Mom help! Don’t hurt me!
Bridget: What? I’m not doing anything!
BRIDGET: Tell the truth Michele, or I WILL call the cops.
MICHELE (crying): I did. I cut myself on purpose. I wanted…to turn mom against you.
VICKY: Oh God.
VICKY: Honey we…it’s alright. But I think we need to get you some help.
BRIDGET: And that’s exactly what my solution is. If you commit yourself to a mental health facility, then I won’t call the cops.
