PREVIOUSLY ON ANOTHER WORLD
--Gregory was involved in a three car accident on Route 17 (episode 245) which aggravated a previous back injury. Gregory became hooked on painkillers. After he was unable to obtain a refill, he started taking synthetic opioids. Elizabeth and Dante found Gregory passed out in the park.
--Cory broke up with Bridget when Bridget's tests showed that she had chlamydia, and he thought that she slept with someone else. Bridget insisted she hadn't slept with anyone else. It was later revealed that Bridget's tests were switched, and she never had chlamydia at all.
--"T" revealed to Devin in a previous episode that he was Maggie Winthrop's (and Rafael's) son, Antonio.

AT LINDSAY’S APARTMENT, LINDSAY WALKS IN.

LINDSAY LOOKS AROUND.
LINDSAY: Gregory? Where could he be?
LINDSAY TAKES OUT HER CELL PHONE AND CALLS GREGORY.

AT THE CORY POOLHOUSE, GREGORY’S PHONE VIBRATES, BUT THE PHONE IS IN HIS JACKET, WHICH IS ON A NEARBY CHAIR. GREGORY IS LYING IN BED AS ELIZABETH PAYS VIGIL. DANTE IS AT THE DOOR WATCHING THEM.

ELIZABETH: How are you feeling?
GREGORY: A little tired. It’s getting late I…just wanna rest.
ELIZABETH: You can rest here.
GREGORY: Hey Dante.
DANTE: What’s up Gregory?
GREGORY: Thank you. I was just…having a bad night that’s all.
DANTE: Lizzie can I talk to you privately?
ELIZABETH: Yeah…yeah we can. Gregory? You’re gonna be alright?
GREGORY: Go ahead. Can you…gimme my phone? It’s in my jacket.
ELIZABETH RETRIEVES HIS JACKET AND GIVES GREGORY HIS PHONE. DANTE SUMMONS ELIZABETH OUTSIDE THE ROOM.

OUTSIDE THE ROOM…
ELIZABETH: Look Dante I know I’m asking a lot but…
DANTE: But you have a drug addict shacked up in your mom’s poolhouse.
ELIZABETH: How do you even know he was high?
DANTE: I’m a trained police officer. I know these things when I see it.
ELIZABETH PUTS HER HEAD DOWN IN A BIT OF SHAME.
ELIZABETH: That’s how you knew he needed naloxone.
DANTE: This isn’t a game Lizzie. There’s an opioid epidemic in Bay City and I have a duty to put an end to it.
ELIZABETH: Please don’t get Gregory in trouble. You heard him he was just…just having a bad night that’s all.
DANTE: What I can’t understand is why you’re going to these lengths to protect him.
ELIZABETH TURNS HER BACK TO DANTE.
DANTE: You…you like him don’t you?

MEANWHILE INSIDE THE ROOM, GREGORY IS ON THE PHONE WITH LINDSAY.
GREGORY: I’m fine.
LINDSAY: It’s pretty late. When are you coming home?
GREGORY: I’m…at my parents’ house. I’ll be back in the morning.
LINDSAY: Wow. You’re gonna leave me in a cold bed tonight.
GREGORY: Oh don’t worry, I won’t do that too often.
LINDSAY: You better not. Tell your mom and dad I said hi.
GREGORY: Will do. See you in the morning.

CORY: You do?

BRIDGET: Sorry for what?
CORY: Not believing you.
BRIDGET: Cory you don’t have to feel sorry about it.
CORY: I’m trying not to I just…wanna make it up to you. I never should have broken up with you.
BRIDGET: You did what you felt was best for you.
CORY: Only that it wasn’t. I made a huge mistake.
BRIDGET: We all make those.
CORY: I know you’re recovering but…I just hope that…you’ll forgive me.
BRIDGET: Oh yeah I totally forgive you.
CORY SMILES IN ANTICIPATION.
CORY: Wow. Thank you.
BRIDGET: You’re very welcome.
CORY: So…I know you need time to recover but…maybe we can start over.
BRIDGET: I agree with starting over…without YOU.

MEANWHILE, A SIGN ON THE DOOR READS: MAGGIE WINTHROP. SOMEONE WEARING A GRAY HOODIE WALKS UP TO THE DOOR, BUT RAFAEL STOPS HIM BEFORE HE CAN ENTER MAGGIE’S ROOM.

DANTE: You’re protecting Gregory because you like him. Isn’t he with Lindsay?
ELIZABETH TURNS BACK TO FACE DANTE.
ELIZABETH: I’m doing this as a friend.
DANTE: I can see it all over your face. It’s more than friendship. At least for you it is.
ELIZABETH: I don’t wanna hear this now.
DANTE: You have to remember that he’s an addict, and he’s with Lindsay. What if he doesn’t feel the same way about you?
ELIZABETH: I haven’t thought about that.
DANTE: Well don’t you think you need to GIVE it some thought? I don’t wanna see you get hurt Lizzie. Someone who’s addicted to drugs is not gonna think clearly. They will use anything and anyone that can get them high.
ELIZABETH: Gregory won’t do that to me.
DANTE: I sure hope not. I don’t think you have any idea what you’re getting yourself into.
ELIZABETH: I’ll be alright Dante don’t worry about me.
DANTE: I can’t help it.
ELIZABETH: I’m…grateful that you didn’t turn him in.
DANTE: Oh I’m getting to that part. Nothing’s free.
ELIZABETH: What do you need me to do?
DANTE: I need to talk to Gregory. I need to find out who gave him the drugs.

DANTE WALKS INTO THE ROOM, AND ELIZABETH FOLLOWS.
ELIZABETH: Dante.
DANTE: Don’t go to sleep yet Gregory. I got some questions to ask you.
GREGORY STRAIGHTENS UP AND SITS UP IN THE BED.
GREGORY: What is it?
DANTE: Lizzie begged me not to arrest you.
GREGORY: I…really appreciate that.
DANTE: But you gotta tell me who gave this stuff to you.
GREGORY: Gave me what?
DANTE: Don’t play dumb with me.
DANTE TAKES OUT A PAIR OF HANDCUFFS.
DANTE: If you don’t tell me who gave you the drugs I’m gonna take you to jail.
GREGORY: I’m sorry I would but I… I can’t tell you anything.
DANTE: So I guess you’re choosing to be locked up.
GREGORY: No. Not even close.
DANTE: Well then who gave you this junk that made you pass out in the park?
GREGORY: So if I tell you, are you gonna put me in witness protection?
DANTE: I’ll do whatever I can to protect you.
GREGORY: I guess the answer is no. If I tell you who supplied me the opioids, the people I love would be in danger.
DANTE: Dammit Gregory you gotta help me! I’m not gonna let this epidemic take over Bay City!
GREGORY: Sorry Dante, but you’re late for this party, because it already has.

CORY: What do you mean?
BRIDGET: You’re not stupid. Or I think you’re just playing stupid.
CORY: I…I understand if you don’t…want to take me back right now.
BRIDGET: There is no right now, and there won’t be a later. I’m not getting back together with you, not now…not ever.
CORY: Okay you’re just upset…
BRIDGET: YOU didn’t trust me. I told you over and over that I hadn’t slept with anyone else, and you didn’t believe me.
CORY: I didn’t know what to believe.
BRIDGET: You should have believed me. You should have trusted that I loved you; that I would never have betrayed you.
CORY: Bridget what did you want me to think? The tests you showed that you had chlamydia.
BRIDGET: But I NEVER had it. You were supposed to stand by me!
CORY: I told you I made a mistake! Please Bridget. Don’t tell me this is over.
BRIDGET: YOU were the one who said it was over. I’m just keeping the status quo.
CORY SHAKES HIS HEAD.
CORY: No.
BRIDGET: I need you to leave.
CORY gets up, steps back.
CORY: Bridget.
BRIDGET: GO!
CORY turns around slowly, and leaves.

MEANWHILE, RAFAEL ESCORTS ANTONIO INTO MAGGIE’S ROOM…
ANTONIO: Dad come on.
RAFAEL: Fancy meeting you here. Come to see your mother?
ANTONIO: I heard that she was hurt.
RAFAEL: Someone’s been trying to kill her.
ANTONIO: Oh no. Do the police know who?
RAFAEL: They don’t have any idea.
ANTONIO: Oh God. Mom.
THEY BOTH WALK OVER TO MAGGIE, WHO IS LYING IN BED UNCONSCIOUS.

ANTONIO: Why are her lips so blue?
RAFAEL: They found her in the freezer.
ANTONIO: What the hell? Who is trying to do this to mom?
RAFAEL: I have an idea.
ANTONIO: You do?
RAFAEL: I have no proof. She’s real slippery.
ANTONIO grabs a stool and sits by MAGGIE’S BEDSIDE AS RAFAEL STANDS BY THE DOOR AND WATCHES.
ANTONIO: Mom it’s me. Antonio. You gotta pull through this. You gotta fight. I’m here okay. I’m so sorry. I’m starting to feel like this is my fault.
RAFAEL: Why would you feel like it’s your fault?
ANTONIO: I told abuela not to tell her that I was in Bay City. Maybe she wouldn’t be in this situation if I was honest.
RAFAEL: Why would you think that your mother’s condition has anything to do with you? Why do you think this is your fault?
RAFAEL notices BRIANNA looking through the rectangular glass. She tries to run away, but he catches up and grabs her arm.
BRIANNA: Ow!
RAFAEL: What the hell did you do to Maggie?
